BEST WESTERN PLUS Chateau Granville Review

Lovely hotel. Good location downtown Short distance to the Queen Elizabeth theatre which we attended that night. Top floor room with good views of the mountains. Good service

The rooms are clean and well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The location is good as it was an easy walk to Granville Market, downtown shops and entertainment. The continental breakfast offered was skimpy but the food was very good and a side could be ordered for a very reasonable cost. We would have no hesitation in booking this hotel again.

Great location right in the middle of Granville entertainment Zone. Easy ride to the airport around 20 minutes away and close to most of the attractions in downtown. Friendly staff and great service would recommend if you are farting on Granville Street and planning to spend your night close the entertainment Zone.

Love this place...close to everything you are going over to do in vancouver. We do lots of concert in Van and its close to all Venues. The hotel is great, the staff are great, helpful and friendly. The suites are awesome, lots of room, two tv's and a separate bedroom. And a balcony that has a view of the city. Food is great, and has a really nice relaxing comfy lounge to have a nightcap when your busy Vancouver day is over. What more can I say I stay here everytime I am in town (And I have friends and family in Vancouver I could stay with lol)

The price was extremely reasonable and we were able to book last minute (2hours before arrival time). Front desk was incredibly polite + courteous, especially with offering free breakfasts after finding out our room didn't come with a balcony as we'd booked. The room was quite clean with only minor issues (under/behind dressers needed to be dusted/vacuumed, under the TV needed to be wiped/dusted, there was a stain on the top sheet + the bathroom needed some extra attention under the sink). Other than that, the stay was pleasant and we'll definitely book again!

Convenient location downtown, and a good value when compared to other downtown properties. Rooms are basic, but well kept.

Hotel stay is fairly pricey, as you can see for yourself. Service was very poor. If you're paying that much, one would hope to be treated decently. Because we came in late from a night out, the staff seemed to think it was acceptable to treat us poorly. Not sure if it was an issue with our race, as there's so much negative stigma around people from a non-white background. Very disappointing though that we had this kind of experience there.

Great room, great staff, great price. Exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend the Chateau.

Older hotel but if your looking to hit the nightlife then it's right in the heart of the club's.

My stay was nothing special. room was small for the price. pool was cold. The worst part is they held on to the incidental charge for 5 days and its $150 for the incidentals. i was told id get my money back yesterday. still waiting... ill never stay here again

Great budget friendly hotel in the heart of Vancouver's entertainment district. Close to everything.

The hotel and room are beautiful. Great amenities. But the hotel is located in the heart of city...sirens were loud all night. If you don't enjoy the big city feel, choose some place outside of Vancouver.

Had an incredible experience at the BW this past week. The location was great. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. And the staff were polite and very helpful. One of the staff members, Ashley, reccomended a bunch of hot spots for my friends and I to check out. She also helped us out with some other errands. Because of Ashley and the rest of the staff, my friends and I will be back.

Front desk service is great. Rooms however are left wanting. A room for 4 was 2 small beds listed as double but we're closer to king single sized, sofa bed mattress was too soft and as a result the support bars could be felt underneath and was uncomfortable.

Friendly staff and good food in attached restaurant and bar called The Edge.

Underground parking was a huge perk, its first come first serve though. Room was clean and the patio was a nice surprise. Central location was perfect for grabbing a morning Tim's and walking to Roger's Arena for concerts and events. Didn't have a chance to try the restaurant on the main floor.

We stayed in a spacious suite, which was organized well enough that we could set up our office and get work done in the sitting area. The suite was lovely, with a balcony over-looking the gardens. We were pleasantly surprised to find a well kept park, just across the street, which included a fenced-in off-leash area for dogs. We'll definitely keep this location in mind, as we often travel with our fur babies.

Amazing prices for the room I got. My thrid guest could not make it, so they even adjusted the price to accommodate. Seperate bedroom, a balcony, sofa bed, etc. Great place to stay and I highly recommend it. I will be staying here again.

Breakfast was so bad. Got waffles. They were so greasy. The potatoes were good, but the plate had sugar and cinemon on it cause the potatoes at the bottom to taste bad.

There was no guest recognition for diamond plus members, there was no breakfast in a bag during covid (every other hotel has it).
Enhanced cleaning did not happen before we showed up. As we found goldfish crackers and other garbage beside the nightstand. 2 of the plug ins did not work (hence looking for plugins) . We were not told ahead of time that there was absolutely no housekeeping after we checked in. We stayed 4 nights......we did not pay for a hotel to make our own beds, and clean our rooms. If i knew this ahead of time i would have stayed elsewhere. It was a pain tracking down toilet paper, clean towels and shampoo. I understand there are issues during covid but i never had these issues with any other hotel during covid. It has been awhile since i stayed at a best western but i know it will be my last time. Very poor especially for one listed as Premier. Sorry for the harsh criticism, but it was bad.

Very welcoming staff who made the stay much more enjoyable with an upgrade to a suite

Great area, friendly staff. Only critique would be we paid over 300$ to stay for less than 24 hours. Tried to pay extra for a later check out time but weren't able to. Room was clean but bathroom wasn't the best clean wise.

Location is the best and rooms are very nice and clean, but our windows faced the street, so it was very noisy during the night.

Great hotel with friendly staff, free wifi and cheap parking. The neighbourhood is not the best right now, but I can see it slowly improving over the next year. We would definitely stay here again, especially if we have a car.

Great Location with Good Staff... right on Granville Street with Tonns of Night Life and Things To See and Do....

The hotel is ok. Not the place to stay if you are looking for a luxury hotel. The location is great. Very walkable to a lot of cool stuff. There are tons of good restaurants within blocks. The hotel is dog friendly and within walking distance of a couple good dog parks and pet shops if you need to grab some extra food.

Staff, food and venue are great but it's terrible for parking.

Absurdly noisy and they will not move you to a quieter room. You ll hear people yelling and shouting all night long. Never again.

Always stay here when I take a trip up north. Great rooms, prices, and customer service. Location is great for what I like, and they also have a secure parking garage.

The staff unreal went out of their way to make sure our stuff was safe (we had two very expensive bikes that we didn t wanna leave in the car) so they put it in their very very small bell check room even though they didn t have to.

Stayed here in May '17 for two nights. My room was very nice with a private balcony looking out to the streets. The bed was nice and comfortable and the toilet and bathroom were very clean. Walking distance to everything in down town Vancouver. A bit pricy though.

Not the Best Western standards we are all used to. We stay at Best Westerns throughout North America for business and pleasure. One reflects for this particular hotel because of the following:
We had to pay for parking we barely fit into, and no breakfast or coffee. Just the horrible coffee in the room. The room was up to standards, but a very sketchy, noisy location.
Check in and check out were 5 .

Clean and nice, polite staff and convenient location

All around I thought it was a pretty decent hotel. I had the cheapest type of room and it was huge, separate living room with a desk for working (which is what I care about) and separate bedroom. The bed was quite comfortable, I slept really well, and they had a good quality chocolate on each bed. The room also had a fridge, microwave, individual pod coffee maker, a safe, it had everything except a kitchen (which I don't care about).

It is a bit older hotel, but it doesn't show very much. I didn't get a chance to use it, but it had a decent looking gym as well.

The only really bad thing is the location, it's not in the centre part of downtown vancouver, but in a part that is a little sketchy (although I wouldn't be worried about safety as there are lots of people around and you walk a block or two and you are in a nice part of town). There is also a lot of construction happening there so I expect the neighborhood is going to improve. The only real problem about the sketchiness is that at night, there are people yelling and making noise. It didn't disrupt my sleep, but I did notice it. Because the room is separated into two parts, I think the bedroom part is actually better sound insulated.

All in all, I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel to stay in Vancouver downtown. My bedrooms and bathroom were very clean. Excellent relation price-value. Restaurant is good. The only cons I found is that you have to pay $20 for parking.

Loved staying here, location is very central, nice rooms. Feel like the prices sky rocket in the summer time, more reasonable in the winter months for sure.

Great hotel for families visiting Vancouver, it s right in the middle of all, close to shopping malls, restaurants, cafes, transportation, etc. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and have everything you need for a pleasant stay, we stayed there recently and loved it.

My boyfriend and I booked this place in a spur of the moment decision to stay another night in Vancouver and not wanting to spend another 200+ dollars. We were surprised by how big our room was. While we didnt visit the restaurant or enjoy any other services we were pleased with the security and parking. We have had our car broken into onice already in Vancouver and really appreciated the almost hidden and gated parking. My only downside was that the beds were not the most comfortable. For a budget friendly and quick weekend trip, this place is right in the middle of all the places we love to visit on foot in Vancouver. Since we never really go any longer than a couple days at a time anyways, we're going to continue to book with Best Western.

we stayed there for almost 6 nights, fantastic hotel, clean rooms, comfy beds, fast internet, perfect service, the check in and check out was so fast, less that a minute to say..the front desk staff were wonderful with a big smile with great hospitality .

Great City Views from inside and from balconies. Location is pretty urban as well with 24hr amenities just within blocks.

The room was spacious and clean. Our view was beautiful and overlooked the city. Underground secured parking and friendly front desk staff. Definitely recommend this hotel, the central location made it easy to walk everywhere in Vancouver.

I felt the room was well kept, great wifi and the shower was amazing. Our balcony had an amazing view!
