Beautiful therefore 5 stars but not customer friendly therefore it would be 0 stars

Looks like a gallery art, fantastic for art and culture lovers. Very charmfull hotel with a incredible view to Markenmer. The swimming area with saunas is nice as well. Close to volendam Marken ferry, handcraft, cheese, cafes, bars and other shops.

I only saw the pool but it looked great. It is difficult that you can only get there by car at certain times.

Was center.volendam.super eaten reasonable room clean and very friendly service that becomes a eight and a half x

Great, paintings everywhere (except in the rooms), gluten-free food, but no fries gluten-free. Furthermore, when you walk out of the hotel you are immediately in the shopping street of Volendam.

He did break down and had to call twice before they came with an emergency radiator.

A hotel with a sense for artists and that is clearly evident in the amount of art present. Has a typical atmosphere of the architectural style from its surroundings from days gone by. You can also see that the hotel has been merged in different phases into one whole over time. All this makes the hotel its own unique appearance and character in a special place.

Overnight very well. Breakfast at 0900 o'clock all empty and it was cleared. Too bad! Before here and totally thrilled.

Altogether not recommended! Linen dirty, room dirty, shower dirty and moldy, glasses in room not flushed, balcony dirty, carpet dirty and stained, cupboard dusty, breakfast carelessly thrown, staff ignored guests, total overpriced food, never again!

Ok, just about. The drive to get to it once in town is absurd, and not warned of. So here is a warning, do not try to get to its car park unless it the early am . It s the tourist hotspot along a pedestrianised street. GPS hates it. Room cleaning very poor.

we had big groups eating at its restaurant. The resto is huge, well decorated, the service is fast and the food is good.

Located right in the heart of The fishing Village of Volendam.

We have been here for 1 night. Is really an old style hotel, very charming and beautiful views. Breakfast was fine too. The only flaw I found the dated rooms (bed, bath and no plug in the bed). Furthermore, highly recommended

This hotel has everything a hotel should have .. classic hotel neatly kept up .. just like a black and white film in color
If you have been there you will want to go there sometimes .. Volendam is not bustling .. have an evening clock everyone is inside at 22.30 also in the summer .. cafes are still open here and there .. sauna .. swimming pool .. good food .. nice staff

Purchase an overnight stay through holiday auctions. Room was standard and small. That is allowed, no problem. Unfortunately, the bathroom was not clean. Dirty toilet and hair in the shower. After reporting this, they went to solve the problem. When we got to our room in the evening, just nothing had happened!
Reported again at check-out, but unfortunately nobody went to see or received compensation.
So .... this was the first and the last time! Cleanliness is the least

1st Christmas celebrated in hotel chip. Top!. The dishes were delicious, the service in the dining room was top.live music we found less. Singer and a young man with guitar whose volume could be less. Our room was neat and clean with a view of the lake. We will definitely come back.

Good hotel, located in the middle of the pedestrian area and yet quiet back out to the sea. Nice staff, very helpful and always eager, again DANKe! Great view, large room with balcony (206), good breakfast, good selection, e.g. Scrambled eggs, sausages, crispy fried bacon, pancake, fruit, salads and more. The only drawback for a deluxe room already closed closets and drawers should be available! otherwise TOP, was there for the second time

That must be it-our wedding day.. that was great! Dinner was in trad. Clothes and glasses printed with old generation! Horn we visited .. oh my god! The sailboats are pulled past me in the breakfast room !!!!! Is this here? I want to be there again!

Very friendly. Staff was on my special request. Double Room for Single Use. Breakfast was ok. Unfortunately no German menu menu. Entertainment almost only in English. But very satisfied.

Nice hotel located in the most beautiful place on the IJselmeer '. and easily accessible by public transport. rooms in the newer part fantastic with views of the ice lake. Very good full breakfast with a lot of variety. Terrace on sunny days very cozy and delicious coffee with apple pie. End the day with a delicious dinner from the large varied menu for a reasonable price. Will definitely return to this family-run ART HOTEL SPAANDER.Fam stigter emmen

Definitely recommending it to people visiting Volendam! It's got a great historic atmosphere and the food is good too. We didn't stay the night (just had lunch), so can't comment on the hotel facilities.

I really liked this hotel. Well located within the village, very close to the sea and with rooms with terraces with beautiful views of the lake. Very good room service. The bathroom is a bit small and the shower tends to drain the water inside the bathroom. They also have a very good restaurant, good price and excellent and good atmosphere. It serves to meet with friends and take something. The parking is spacious. The attention at reception is cordial. A bit far from Amsterdam, it is convenient for those who drive, since public transport can be expensive. They have many pictures on the walls of paintings by artists who used to stay here. Buffet food nothing out of the ordinary.

Great food at dinner, lunch and breakfast in the restaurant, rooms are a bit small in the part where we were. You can watch people from all over the world on the cozy terrace. All attractions that make Volendam so enjoyable are within walking distance. Be sure to check out the old paintings and curiosities in the display cases throughout the hotel, really beautiful. Staff is friendly and helpful. To park at the hotel you have to be patient and take a good look at the times when the normally closed route is open. Your vehicle can also be parked for free at the Parallelweg car park. The route is well signposted from the Julianaweg. From here you only have to walk 400 meters, and go faster if you have to maneuver through the narrow streets along the tourists on busy tourist days. Your like-thumb is appreciated.

We have spent two nights with 10 people in hotel Spaander.
Most of us had a small room with a very small shower where you could barely turn.
Also, our bed was not so good, a pit where I always inrolde and a feather mattress that always stuck in my thigh me.
Everything else was clean, but needs a thorough renovation.
In this state it is too expensive for what you get for it

The staff was friendly, there was a nice big terrace and the breakfast was good with div. sandwiches and fresh baked bread.
The only disadvantage was that the hot chocolate was not included in the price.
The cappuccino and latte from the machine was fine to drink.
Furthermore, I found quite cozy hotel with all the paintings, stairs and old furniture that had anywhere.

Dear, we were given a warm welcome at the reception and my girlfriend showed her ID that had expired for years but it was accepted. we also reserved a table in the restaurant for half past seven. I opened the door with the key card and I had to go to the toilet and there was a gray underpants from the previous guest behind the door, not a neat room maid !!! At half past six we went to the dining room and told them that we had reserved a table, oh the girl said then I must see if there is still room and a moment later she will find a place for her. Our 3-course menu was included in the price and she told us what we got: tomato soup, cod and a dessert, ok the soup came through but it turned out to be a mushroom soup, when she debrased she asked if the soup tasted and I told her that she was quite tasty only the leek was raw and cut too thick (had to be blanched) but that it was not tomato soup, oh did I say that ??? the cod was tasty but again with the raw leek, the dessert was too cold and had been ready for a long time ..

all together we had a few nice days in Volendam at Spaander and especially a super not too large room but with a great view over the water ....

Very well located and good service, the pool very well only we spent heat in the room. Many insects outside we could not open the terrace.

Very famous hotel in Volendam. Fine to stay but do not expect much. It is solid and has undergone a restyling. An accessible map.

Located in the shopping street of Beihai Fishing Village, it is very convenient for shopping.

Worthless hotel and staff, are busier with matters other than their work, never come here again, not even for a cup of coffee

While on a visit to Volendam last week we went in here for some lunch here for some lunch . My brother ordered a beer and realised that the beer was out of date...My dutch friend returned the beer to the bar and was given another in date bottle ..but what was really bad was that there was no apology.....really bad experience for foreign visitors .

Amazing lunch .Was there whit Indonesian group ..... and the food was just great
