The medical director is incompetent and disorganized. That sets the tone for the entire operation. Calls aren t answered, data isn t shared inside or outside the practice. Administrative staff is not qualified to work in this space.
My family has faced their respective fights alone, spending countless hours trying to manage the care continuum on our own. From routine labs to coordinating care with DF, every detail must be managed by you.
Options are limited in the region I know but I urge you to seek care elsewhere for the sake of your loved ones.
I was a patient here from 2018 to 2019 and found the care that I received to be exceptional. When I was diagnosed, I was assigned a team, not really understanding what that meant. I am young and had no experience with cancer. But I will say that I was so lucky to have been assigned the team that I had.
Dr. Bayliss was my assigned oncologist and he was very considerate and thoughtful. He really listens and cares about the well-being of his patients. The Cancer Center itself offers lots of wellness offerings such as yoga and fitness classes, intuitive painting workshops, cooking classes, meditation and acupuncture. All of the nurses on the infusion floor are amazing at their jobs. I was always treated with kindness and respect. I am also so grateful that there was a cancer center so close to home. It would have been impossible to travel far and wide for treatment.
I have chosen to write this review after seeing the bad reviews left by people during COVID. I can not say what going through cancer must be like during this horrible time, but I imagine that the cancer center is unable to provide its normal services and care that it usually would. They have to consider safety of their patients first. As a person who experienced cancer and treatment before the pandemic, I just wanted to say that my experience with this Cancer Center was top notch. Berkshire County is lucky to have it.
Not great, just fair. Snafu with hours and scheduling, long wait times in lab and doctor's office.
