BERGEN NEW BRIDGE MEDICAL CENTER ( KOREAN UNIT REHAB FACILITY) AVOID the Korean Unit for your Loved ones at all Cost! ( Does not even deserve one star in the KOREAN UNIT REHAB)

Our love one was here recently in the Korean Unit Rehab facility and we had her transferred to another facility do to the following:

Issues and Matters:

1. Social Worker: Bong Yoon Suk did not disclose or was straightforward honest with our family regarding to the visitation procedures or the facility procedures on our loved one stay for short term.

2. Nurse Manager of the Korean Unit Rehab Facility YOUNG is very unprofessional and has had an attitude issue from the day one we met her. She should not be a manager at the facility and should be re-evaluated. The first day when our loved one came she just wanted to kick us out. When our loved one was in the room, we wanted to just see her get settled in but what we get is The Nurse Manger YOUNG telling us to leave since our loved one is now there. Seriously this Nurse Manager Young has an attitude issue and is very rude.
Then when we went over the visitation hours with her she gave us more attitude telling us it was wrong and what we were advise was different from the social worker. Also In front of us her and a staff employee was betting if our loved one teeth was real, who does that?!!! She was not cooperative till we left the facility for good with our loved one.

3. Korean Staff they are not professional, neglects or provide the elders needs also the Korean Unit Rehab is way under staffed. You have to ask the Staff all the time to do something for your love ones when your actually physically there for the visit. If your not there they neglect them or don't take really good care of them since they are way understaffed. For god sake the first day we saw a staff she is a nurse there as well that is employed name is Youngmi Jong we saw her loudly advise the staff she didn't want to go upstairs to the second floor since she didn't want to attend the needs for the elders on the second floor. What professionalism is this. You even see elders roaming around freely taking food off of other people trays and medicine! Us seeing this really made us feel very upset and worried!

This Korean Unit Rehab facility in Bergen New Bridge Medical Center needs to be re-evaluated and review the people that work there again that are in charge since we will never recommend this place to anyone for our loved ones.

This is what I want to advise people who are thinking of sending there loved ones to the Korean Unit Rehab in Bergen New Bridge Medical Center and I advise to be AWARE and AVOID since our family had restless nights and had to visit everyday till our love one was transferred since we just couldn't trust the facility or the employees.

P.S You cant even get in the building on the day you scheduled for visitation you have to ring the door bell or call since the door is locked so you wait outside till they let you in. There is no waiting room, also they will give you a hard time to get in.

I went for a covid test and they would not give me the results. I was told to go online and open an account that I would see it there. But tried several times and nothing shows up under results. I am not sure why they would not give the results over the phone. But they need some improvement in this department!

The single most horrific experience of my life. Due to clerical error i spent 3 days in this madhouse. I myself am a doctor. I never treated anyone with as much cruelty in a second as I was treated in the emergency room for the duration of 12 hours. I was denied any form of human dignity. I was lied to, denied contact with a doctor for over 5 hours, and was made to feel totally helpless and alone, much to the amusement of the clerical staff.
As I write this review I am reliving this nightmare. So, in closing, let me just warn anyone reading this to stay away at any cost. I will be suing this facility. And individual staff members.

My best friend was recently released out of this cr*p hole. Her family and I kept constantly calling the number that the nurse provided us and no one picked up, there was no way to get in touch with her nor anyone else. After I heard how they treated her, this place reminded me of Letchworth and New Bridge needs to be investigated by the state and locked down.

Response: call patient resources? We ve tried that when my friend was hospitalized and NO ONE would pick up nor return calls including the nurses station. You guys are a joke and do more damage than good. Also, stop copying and pasting your response to each negative review, it s just laziness.

WORST HOSPITAL!!! Do not go here. The Doctor would continuously put a rag over my face to stop me from talking while I was restrained. Security guard forcefully put his elbow on my neck to stop me from moving to restrain me not allowing me to breathe. Any time I would step out of the ER room to ask to speak to a doctor the security guards or nurses would forcefully drag me back to the room and once again restrain and sedate me. Please avoid this hospital at all cost as they are not here help just keep people quite and if you ve been to this hospital you know what I am talking about. They don t care about the people there nor do they know how to properly and professional care for them as I ve seen in the hospital.
