The strangest way to buy a sandwich ever. Order there pay there go back and wait until you wonder if it is yours. It was good though. There is a good selection of different bread and topping styles. The price is ok if you consider it's London.

Part of a chain, I usually go to the one in Mayfair. Very good baguettes, panini, wraps and the like: the tuna and the cheese salad baguettes are particularly good. Service is very professional. Good coffee and tea selection.

I have been coming to this Benugo for the past year and it was one of a kind. The hot counter that they served fresh cooked sausages and bacon to create the best baps. The staff are always friendly and it's a great place to have a meeting whilst eating a good breakfast sandwich.

Though to my amazement the company have decided to get rid of the hot counter. Quote from numerous staff members "it's cheaper and quicker to bring in ready cooked meats, then warm them up and we've had a lot of complaints".

Honestly the worst decision a company like this could have made, I recommend everyone to go there however see no difference from the cheap italian next door now.. No need for me to buy my team breakfast from here anymore.

BRING BACK THE HOT COUNTER!

THEY REOPENED THEIR HOT COUNTER A WEEK LATER>.

However sad to see they haven't reopened since the hell of the first lock down.

RIP

Horrid coffee, both normal and decaf. There are dozens of great independent coffee shops and roasters with coffee ten times as good. The flavoured coffee is even worse. You'd do better at Starbucks or Costa for that. Just don't bother.

My wife happened to trip and fall outside of the store in the street. They were so helpful, they checked on us multiple times, brought her a tea and refused any type of gratuity. Super nice people. And I love the clock in their shop too.

The Benugos Clerkenwell store is the original Benugo opening (they have over 20 locations in the UK) with the site having previously been a pub. Benugos can be described as a chilled out overpriced deli, offering sandwiches, pastries, salads, juices and coffee. It gets crowded and busy at lunchtime Monday to Friday so either get there early or bring some patience with you. The WiFi is not the fastest but the interior space is bright.

Only a handful of sandwiches and pastries are freshly made on site, with the majority of items premade and sitting on a refrigerated unit. The star fresh food attraction is a hot food station which usually consists of one selected dish - either sausages and mash, halloumi wrap or bacon and eggs. It is cooked daily and served by extremely friendly man. The coffee is okay but nothing special. Head over to EC1 Coffee House down the road for much better coffee. Free water in jar is in offer which is always a nice touch.

The space is ample, with the main room serving as a gathering point for eat out customers, getting crowded at peak times of the day. At the back there is plenty of sitting on individual tables or two large long tables. The service is hot and cold depending on who takes your order.

Benugos Clerkenwell could be a great deli (beyond just being a conviniently located alternative to Pret) if it offered consistent customer service, a fast WiFi connection, additional fresh food (not refrigerated) and lower prices.

Coffee and a Fish Finger Sandwhich. Problems, confusing system to order and when i asked a question they didnt understand me. Then the sandwhich was cold, bread fell apart and not toasted. Also old salad and taste was not appetising. Coffee was ok so 2 stars for that. Best avoid and go somewhere else.
