DO NOT RECOMMEND. During the pandemic they did not accept my ins because it did not pay as much as it would a higher end ins or cash. They claimed my ins was difficult to contact which is false! They only view customers as dollar signs.
Awesome office. I ve been going here for as long as I can remember. My prescription is always ready on time and sometimes earlier! Occasionally I even stop in to get my screws tightened and lens cleaned. Office staff is very friendly. Felix is awesome, and will go the extra mile to find perfect frames that compliment your face shape. Can not recommend this place enough to everyone
So I came to Bensonhurst Family Vision for a second opinion after a terrible experience across the street at Cohens Fashion Optical, and I'm so glad I did. There was some miscommunication (on my end) in the beginning, but the staff were quick to resolve it and super kind about it. I'm very appreciative of them for taking the time to make the necessary calls and rectify the situation. They are very thorough and examined my eyes properly. In addition to the autorefractor test( the standard look at the airballoon) PERIPHERAL VISUAL FIELD TEST (the focus on the black square and click when you see the flashing white square) and visual acuity test (lens portion) they also took a picture of both eyes and dilated my pupils so they can fully see what's going on with my eyes. After all the tests were done, I was told I need to see a specialist, because I presented with some concerning issues. Had I not come here I would have never known about this. Your eyes are everything, please take care of them and go to someone who cares and is thorough. Will definitely be coming here for my yearly eye exam. Thanks so much for all you do.
