This place is so cool! My missionary companions from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints visited just to look around the store. The staff are super nice and they gave us a tour of how everything is made. We got to see the whole process from raw wool to high quality product! The wool is so nice! Lots of the items sold are hand sewn on site. And there's lots of neat tourist items as well. We ended up buying some locally made wild rice soups that we're having tonight for dinner!

Great products that are well made and can't be found elsewhere in the area. Lots of great hats, gloves, outerwear, socks, shoes/boots and more. Women, men and kids.

This is one of my favorite places in the whole world. The owner/proprietor (Bill) is the most warm, personable, friendly, and professional person you will ever meet. These pictures were taken with some of our young missionaries serving in the area and to took time to take the pictures and make these young people feel like family. Previously, my wife and I purchased at least one of most everything this company makes on site, including a cherished wool blanket, leather gloves, wool hat, a sweater for my wife, and a small replica of Paul Bunyan and the Blue Ox. My daughter and her husband purchased multiple sweatshirts. You have to visit this place and ask for Bill.

Like a previous reviewer, I placed an order on 11/11, have not received the Order, have not received a response to an email inquiry, no one answered the phone when I called, and the voicemail box is full.

Update: I did receive my order, about one month after I placed it. Updating review to 2 stars as I have received the product, but overall a poor online experience.

I bought a pair of wool overalls, and I absolutely love them! Not only are they extremely quiet for hunting, but they are comfortable to wear when working outside in the winter. You will not regret getting a pair of wool pants from the Bemidji Woolen Mills! Thanks for the great service Bill, Dan, and everyone down there!

I live in Texas but they helped this cold Texan find a lovely Dale of Norway sweater that was out of stock at Dale and everywhere else. They kept me updated as to the status of my order and were helpful and responsive the whole way through. The sweater arrived today and my husband loves it. Thank you, Bemidji! We don't need many wool sweaters down here in Texas, but when we do, we'll be shopping through y'all!

I ordered something online. All I want to know is if it is actually available and going to ship. They don t answer their phone... ever. I ve probably called 8 times at different times during the day. Their voicemail inbox is full. They don t respond to emails. I paid $70 for a gift that I m worried about it not showing up now. They didn t have a problem instantly taking my money when I ordered. At a time of uncertainty, it would at least be nice to know that giving your money to a small business is worth it rather than just getting it on Amazon. I m just asking for a response of some sort.

I placed an order 3 weeks ago. It still says in process. I've emailed twice and have tried calling numerous times, it rings 5 times and then tells me the "mailbox is full". I'm getting no response. I would just like to speak with someone at the store to find out the status of my order.
Update: I contacted the local chamber of commerce, that resulted in an email -with only an explanation of being short of help due to covid, but no information on the progress of my order. It's like they'll aren't even aware that one has been placed.
My order is not a life or death situation.
I hope they have better days ahead.

No communication from this business at all. I obtained my selection from a different business, 4 days after ordering.

Very high quality merchandise, especially the wool items. They're excellent service is why they've been in business for 100 plus years. I will continue to shop there.
