Very nice place to relax. Quite, clean, and right next to a great golf club. I give it a four since they don t have an actual bar or restaurant which is okay, they don t advertise that they do. But it would be amazing if they did!
This place, although still beautiful. Is nothing like the huge property it once was, and that is sad. I am so glad they kept something of this place. I used to love driving by the actual Victorian style summer homes that speckled the grounds, that I am guessing were lease-able for winters by wealthy northerners-that may have reserved them every winter(?), or starlets from Hollywood in need of what only the sea air and sounds of the ocean can only bring, which probably had all the comforts, cleaning and room service, as the hotel did, only via golf cart.. This place was HUGE. There was a beautiful golf course, as well. And would have been a dream destination of wedding venues back in its time, the 20s 30s, 40s and maybe even the 50s. It wasn't just beautiful, it was very southern and very elegant. I have to really commend whoever was involved in saving what they could of this Southern Belle, a State Jewel. It's a bittersweet feeling to be there today. But so grateful for the amazing history of and what's left of this once, place that took my breath away as a teen. Not many things have ever had the affect on me as this place, even as business slowed, she was still an proud and elegant lady. This place screamed southern charm and sophistication. I don't think we could ever afford to have another built to replace what has been lost, not find the craftsman it took to build and replace much of it. The individual houses, were mansions in their own right. I wish I could travel in time to this place in it's heyday, with a wedding or special event going on. I don't think there is anything else like to or comparable in our beautiful state. God bless anyone who gets to be part of this hotel.
Amazing place. From check-in until check-out. Such a zen vibe in the courtyard and pool area. Rooms were nicely decorated and the beds were so comfortable! Simple little breakfast baskets during covid times waiting by the door were a nice touch. Would highly recommend this place and I will surely be returning during my next stay down here.
If I could give this place 100 stars I most certainly would!! Everyone was SO SO friendly and the place is very fancy and antique. Outdoor pool and hot tub were great and the beds were extremely comfy!! It made me feel like as if I was in my own bedroom!! Thank you to all the people who run this place for a great stay! Me and my family will most certainly be coming back
Wish we could give this place more stars! Tried to extend our stay for tonight also but they were already fully booked. So much rich history here and awesome that they were able to preserve the original building. Blown away! And the little good morning breakfast basket was so cute. Thanks!

Wonderful and quaint with great historical value. The front end staff goes out of their way to accommodate and answer any questions about and around the area.
Nice and quiet for couples or families with young kids.
The best staff of any hotel I ve stayed at in a while. This includes those who work at the attached golf club, which includes two incredible courses, might I add. They are incredibly thoughtful, accommodating and just generally kind. I couldn t have asked for a more attentive hotel staff, and they exceeded my expectations of a 3-star rated hotel. The facility is gorgeous. Although the iconic main building is surrounded by some eye-sores of condo buildings, the hotel staff does a wonderful job of making up for what the hotel lacks in property views. I would stay here again in the blink of an eye.
My 3rd visit here, 4th if you count my 2011 stay at the Belleview Biltmore. I cannot say enough great things about this property. You will not leave disappointed, except that your stay wasn't long enough, no matter how many nights you were there.
The inn is beautiful and small. It s a nice place to get away from the busy crowds near the beach, but close enough to still get to everything pretty quickly (when the traffic isn t terrible). They also offer free valet and private beach access at Sandpearl, which is really convenient. The hotel is small, so the amenities are as well. It s in a residential area, so you ll have to drive to get to any attractions, restaurants, or shopping. The $25 resort fee also seems pretty high for the amenities, and they don t offer free internet or continental breakfast like they claim on the site. The only real dining option on-site is the country club. The food was okay, but we ended up almost paying double after the fees. There s a small shop on-site that sells a few snacks and breakfast items, but you ll need to drive to find somewhere to eat. I didn t have a bad time, but I personally would only stay if this was the only one of the nicer hotels available.
The Inn is gorgeous and has been restored tastefully. The rooms were clean and the beds are comfortable. We went on our babymoon and the staff was so accommodating and friendly. Tamra the woman at the front desk is a doll and made us feel so welcome on the property. We enjoyed the pool area and spent time relaxing on the expansive porch. We would definitely go back again.
