Belgrade Theatre Coventry Review

Great theatre. Small cafe attached with a good selection of food choices.

Loved it Joseph and Amazing Techicolour Dreamcoat amazing cast are excellent I would go back and see it again.

Fantastic cafe - nice coffee and cakes and great value

Just watched the sound of music, fantastic show ,superb singing absolutely brilliant

A wonderful venue with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Seats were excellent with a perfect view of the stage. I realise that the most important aspect of going to the theatre is your overall enjoyment of the production. I certainly wasn't disappointed, "Once" was absolutely fantastic.

Enjoyed the play and the cafe meal but the seating was a little bit cramped (people had to stand and move to the Isle to allow me to get to and from my seat)

A very modern building & interior in what is becoming a modern upbeat setting.
It does have a nice contemporary feeling to the theatre and has friendly staff, yet I feel there is something missing, which I can't quit put my finger on
It's usually very busy & I think rather expensive too.
Handy car park in the nearby plaza.

Fantastic, vibrant production of Crongton knights. Energetic cast, portraying compelling characters. Would like to see a sequel.

Went to see sleeping beauty as part of our Christmas party, had an amazing,. Good school lcrjon of snacks and drinks, service was good and the performance was top notch

Great show as we watched a brilliant performance of Son of the Preacher Man.

This has to be the best small to medium sized theatre around!

Nice theatre which had a very good production of a children's favourite. Seating was cramped and dated which was a negative. Be aware that for younger children booster seats are A) an extra cost and B) are limited. We ended up getting one of the last hard plastic seats. This hurt my son's legs so he ended up sitting on me.

Good variety of shows. Nice seating areas outside the auditorium.

We've seena panto " the sleeping beauty" and it was just great. A very good quality, good acting skills, funny and with a wit.
What the theater has to improve is the massive use of the plastic cups at the bar. It is a nuisance that they don't provide a proper glasses for your drinks.

Great venue and performance. Lovely traditional front seats.

Lovely theatre, good location, prices at the bar were average. Beware of the car Park though which has nothing to do with the theatre but when I left I was parked on the 8th floor but none of the lifts were working!

Absolutely amazing and magical. Must say my favorite is the Pantomime

Love a night out at the Belgrade just seen rock of ages, what a fab show. Theatre is looking a little tired now , so look forward to the referb

Good show, very entertaining. Belgrade Theatre usually have good quality shows. Price is reseanable.

Great regional theatre - bars were the usual pre and mid performance melee but to be expected

2 great days spent at the Creative Health Symposium. Met lots of fun, talented, and determined people. It was educational and thought -provoking

Great place to go, parking is great although can be a nightmare to get out of the multi storey after a big show. The venue itself is good quality and the shows are generally excellent.

A great theatre in the centre of Coventry. Park at the Belgrade Plaza carpark, just a few metres away. Perhaps treat yourself to a visit to Cosmo just over the road a few metres away for a lunch buffet or evening meal.

Great theatre, friendly helpful staff just got back from This years end of season pantomime "Cinderella" and it was fabulous! Suberb sets and amazing production and fun for all the family great laughs throughout! will be back again!
Also going to book next Christmas's panto!

Always a lovely experience when visiting the shows at the Belgrade.

Great local place and it is central to Coventry. There is a really good church I go to called Elim, which you can check out.

Great friendly atmosphere mindgame was a great show tonight

My daughter went to the relaxed pantomime performance today. She has autism. There has been great thought put in reducing the effects of anxiety caused by sensory overload. Well done.

The show was great but the venue was very disappointing.
The bar was only being served by 2 people and so the queues we massive and we had to abandon getting a drink to avoid missing our show. We had been queuing for over 20mins.
At the interval we queued again and still didn't have time before going back into our show.
There is also supposed to be free water in a large jar on the bar but this was empty both times and people were complaining.
Totally disappointed and will be taking my own drinks next time.
The theatre need to get that sorted ASAP

Great venue, easy parking and plenty of restaraunts super close, the Christmas panto is an awesome experience, enjoy every year

Jacobs Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat was a brilliant show and the Belgrade is an amazing theatre and a major asset to Coventry. Long may they put on productions like this. Recommended.

as usual a fantastic panto. everyone got involved. definitely go again next year. would really love to meet the cast and thank them personally for a great performance.

Good shows but very expensive bar with a poor selection

Has a good range of shows but the theatre itself itself, seats etc could do with a bit of a revamp.

Thoroughly enjoyed last night's performance. Very good singing, especially Badger's lovely voice. With street dance, rapping and sign language all fitting together brilliantly with great acting skill and clever working of the story line

It was a really good place and had a great atmosphere and bar. Was going backstage and it was really good and accessible and it was really good. Had a great time sitting and watching the live music and it was really good.

Nice Theatre, however, their choice of wine is not very good. Mini bottles and house are not very pleasant to drink, which has spoilt my last two visits.

There are many mini wines now available so it shouldn't be difficult to have a selection available at a reasonable standard.

Saw Rock of Ages it was really good! Weve seen a few musicals here. Parking easy and not too expensive.

I have been several times taking advantage of the theatre's Free Tickets for 19-25s offer. With superb atmosfere and great plays, I could undoubtely say it's one of Coventry's gems.
