This organization is a miracle in helping people find their way back from the slippery road of addiction. They overcome with hope and faith and most of all love. Thanks Beit T'Shuvah
Dont send your family member any money or debit card without them having to sign for. They use recovering attics to run the mail room. Our family member did not receive one of the many cards we sent. BEWARE !!

The "House of Repentance" or "House of Return" saved my life. As a non Jewish, Asian American, I suffered from an addiction for gambling. I was a successful attorney who made 500,000/year but lost three times that much because of my addiction. I was facing prison time and the lost of my license. By receiving the wonderful and caring treatment from BTS, I gained my dignity and freedom from the disease that I suffered for 25 years of my life. This is not only the best place in California that treats compulsive gamblers through California Office of Problem Gambling, but the most spiritual. I spent 7 months here both in patient and out patient. Get the help you need for your loved ones and most of all FOR YOURSELF.
I really wanted to give this place five stars but it is impossible given the CRAZINESS of Rabbi Borovitz. My stay was a few years back and hopefully the place has changed as it has potential but with Rabbi as part of the leadership team, I am sorry to say he is the stain of what could be a fine organization. He was hotheaded, money hunger and lacked very little compassion for the patients. During my stay, one of the patients actually overdosed and died in house. It was devastating.
Great place for residents(especially if they want to have sex), lousy place for employees if they are not Rabbi's pets
Offers a comprehensive and holistic approach to recovery from all avenues of addiction. In addition to the treatment model, there is also a vibrant and thriving Jewish community - Friday nights and Saturday morning Shabbat services are open to the public. This is a fantastic place to come to know, reach out for support for either yourself or a loved one.
This place actually works, if you re ready to change your life. The community is wonderful and so are the staff working there. I highly recommend it changed my life.
You only need to be honest, open and willing to accept a new life that's waiting to be claimed. If you're ready, if your tired of running, lying and hiding, then you're ready to leave the world to itself where it will be when you return to it strong, durable and sober. Only then can you claim your dignity and love your identity. Beit tshuvah gives the 3 essentials to begin recovery, love, acceptance and a safe place to begin the journey. There is only one factor that remains constant among the many variables to the equation sobriety and a peaceful life... time. All the hard work doesn't accelerate the process. Abandon yourself and come ready. The healing body, mind and spirit need extended freedom from chemicals and beit tshuvah gives it's clients just that, extended stay to thoroughly complete the program to move forward naturally and easily and free. Leave it all behind and start over. 6 months to more than a year is worth a lifetime. Thank you beit tshuvah!
They care about money, not helping people, they are awful and will eate your time,
I learned how to live my life at Beit T Shuvah. This is always going to be home to be no matter what. This community taught me that I matter and that I can do anything I put my mind to. I was so blessed to go through BTS because the donations that help people like me who could not afford treatment to get the help I needed. Rabbi Mark Borovitz and Harriet have been my rock. I transformed my life from living homeless on the streets to being a hairstylist and to carry what they taught me on to other people to share the love and hope I received there. I now try to give back when I can so that I too can pay it forward to someone who needs the help like I did. Thank you for my life.
Unbelievable compassionate and supportive environment staffed with experts. They remain committed to an individual long after they return to society.
It is a full bown synagogue with an amazing rock 'n roll band. Amazing Friday night and Saturday morning services. Services 6:30 pm Friday and 11 am Saturday. 120 bed recovery house attached to synagogue. Sober birthdays on Friday night.
You don't have to be Jewish and you don't have to be rich. But if you want to turn your life around I suggest checking this place out...
