My car got hit in a hit and run about a month ago and the Beaverton police have been less than helpful. I initially tried to file a police report through the Washington county sheriff s department but was redirected to the Beaverton police. The officer that called me was friendly enough but insisted he could not file a report for me I had to fill out a form myself. So I proceeded to file a citizens crime report and have yet to receive a response. It has been over a month now and because of the Beaverton police my insurance will not be helping to cover the costs of repair.

So impressed with the dedication and service we have gotten from this police dept. In a world where I sometimes feel justice is never served and the bad guys get away. This police office went above and beyond for my family. Thank you!

They picked my call pretty quickly and after giving few information they dispatched a team to my family. They again called me back to check if I got hold of my family. My family was at Beaverton while I was in St. Louis. They gave me real peace of mind. Great work. Thanks again

My experience with Beaverton Police Officers has been amazing. The help and support Beaverton Police Officers and their interacting in assisting individuals under extreme circumstances has been Amazing, Professional, Courteous, Respectful and Compassionate, kind and Caring. I have the greatest Admiration and Respect for Beaverton Police Officers.They see people at their worst and Serve them with the upmost Respect and Dignity. I've been here a couple times to report stolen wallets and phones etc. I dropped of some mail and got a response in a respectable timely manner. I haven't been inside the building in quite some time but I used to serve tamales to the staff down in the Griffith park depression and even got to tour the offices as I hauled the leftover tamales into their break room.

i used to live in beaverton for 20 years, i've had many instances where ive been stopped by police and they try to lie to you to justify there actions.

i've been arrested for various actions.

i've been lied to on many occasions.

excessive police amount in response to a legally abideing citizen.

i've even had a cop force me to sit in the exaust of his police car and threatened me if i tried to move when i was having a hard time trying to breathe, i am white... this was durring a situation where a group of people tried to set me up when i wasnt even in the area that it took place. the people admitted to it and where charged as i had done nothing wrong.

i've had the beaverton police get me into a holding cell and try to press charges against me and a friend to the point i had to become my own lawyer and learn the laws to fight against them forceing them to drop charges and release me and my friend otherwise i was going to sue for falsified imprisonment.

i've been stopped on bike trying to ride 4 blocks from 7/11 on longhorn down to my parents house on a bike with lights on front and back that where baught on amazon & listed as bicycling lights... i was stopped & swarmed by 4+ squad cars/suvs, the cops tried to lie and say i had no lights on my bike so i pointed them out to them... they decided to tell me they weren't bright enough yet in the laws there is no minimum lumens stated for a bicycle to have.

there are more incidents i dont wish to explain in detail...

it got to the point i was arrested without my rights being read to me and thus due to a just judge my entire record was purged and i choose to not press charges against the officer as this was a fair balance to the unjust actions i've had to deal with in the time i lived in beaverton.

if the police don't know the laws themselves how can you expect them to uphold them in a legitamate way.

some cops are decent people to say, but there are those who use there power to attempt to justify there actions beyond a reasonable doubt like torturing a civilian with there squad cars exhaust and threatening them...

yes i am a disabled person also, i have autism & i cant trust most police after what i have been through with the beaverton police... these are some of the reasons people drive around beaverton and/or dont move to beaverton because the police in beaverton are corrupt but not all of them it can be hard to tell them apart... read the laws & protect yourself from them otherwise they will try to lie to you to justify that you are in the wrong.
