Very good regional hospital. Friendly and competent employees. Modern building, recently renovated. One of the best hospitals in the Netherlands (testing 2015). Part of Rivas group that is very competent.

Very bad .. let you almost die before they take further steps .. unnecessarily you lie there for a week .. every day again you get no clarity and you do not know what is going on, because they would rather you another few days to let go of the pain in your room than to take a rush of it to make a scan with which it could be solved in 1 day instead of a week. Where to start. Typical Holland Healthcare. My wife had a serious inflammation on her face, because of the root. So we was told by the dentist to go immediately to the hospital. Because it has to treated immediately. So we walked into the hospital where the woman on the reception told us to go to the emergency part. We was welcomed by a racist look. Yes racist look because Ive started the conversation on english. So they just laughed and told us to go to the dentist. I have explained gently that we was there. My wife was also surprised about the behavior of the nurses. We went back to the dentist, where he tried to make his best to prepare my wife for the trip back to Hungary. Where she got treated wel and the surgery was good. The cyst was very dangerous and every hour was counting. I was driving 20 hours because the flyght was also dangerous.
So if someone of you dear reading this. I wish you the best in your life's. And hope soon karma will treat you guys the same as we was.

Dr. Orban is a great dermatologist. Appointment at 11:00, already helped at 10:59. Class.

The telephone operator at the GP station was very unfriendly !! Fortunately the doctor was very friendly and helped us well.

Hey Beatrixziekenhuis has been voted the best hospital in the Netherlands on several occasions. This does not mean that miracles are performed here but that they are very skilled in the treatments they do. For specialist work you have to be in an umc, but for all '' standard '' examinations and treatments there are plenty of qualified doctors here.

If you have become new parents of a (premature) beautiful girl (our grandchild), you may no longer be together with your child in the hospital after 1 week after birth. Sad affair there in Gorinchem. The Netherlands is slowly going crazy. But hope they get out of there very soon.

Very disturbing that besides the bed of my newly operated wife. Several times, on average 8 people were visiting at once, without the nursing staff saying anything about it.

I had surgery there and the doctors were very sweet! The anesthetist was really great! Just crazy! And also nice: wheelchair in the room! People from the children's department or 2 West also super I was also allowed to take my IV (has been rinsed out) I love blue and wheelchairs and there were two wheelchairs, one completely blue and the other little blue by the wheels! Fantastic hospital unfortunately I speak from experience I have been here in 2019 up to now more than at home the nursing is fine and very nice and the IC is perfect

I was born there, therefore, it is a blessed establishment.

After a referral from the doctor, I ended up at the Beatrix Hospital. Here I had a conversation with the doctor, then with the anesthetist. Finally made an appointment for an operation.
Very warm welcome on the day of the operation, prepared for surgery by, among others, Willemijn (one of the three from the day treatment department) and a short conversation with the doctor Smulders. Great help. After the operation, after bleeding appeared, this can happen. So back to the operation right away. Not nice, but they do nothing about it and how I was supervised. This was really great. They did everything for me and explained everything nicely. After the operation I had to stay unexpected, due to the after bleeding. This too was neat and well arranged. I am very satisfied with the people who helped me during the two days! Compliments for Willemijn, Willemijn (from the day treatment), Jorrit, Ilona and Edward from 4 West, the staff members of the recovery room.
The anesthesiologist Guido, doctor Smulders and of course all other people who helped! Thank you for taking care of and softening this annoying treatment!

My 83 year old mother was admitted via emergency admission. Severe dehydration due to allergic reaction to antibiotics. Determining that kidney function has been damaged is extremely clumsy, the catheter is only inserted after the fourth night and the actual urine production is measured.
Coordination of internist, pulmonologist and cardiologist particularly flawed. Care in the department of very good will but poorly organized and poorly structured. No rest in the room that is shared with three patients and where new patients are brought in the middle of the night. Hit the mark; the handling of snow. It is too much trouble to remove the snow from the roof of the parking garage, visitors suddenly have 30% fewer parking options, the grounds in front of the hospital have been made snow-free to a very limited extent, as a result my disabled sister is falling down before leaving her car, even before she is in her wheelchair. In summary, poorly organized, poorly structured, it can be done much better with little effort.

Very good modern hospital. Great caring and committed staff. Because of a very severe inflammation I had suddenly through the emergency department recorded on 3 December., To be administered intravenous antibiotics. I have felt very safe in the familiar hands of the caring and knowledgeable staff. It was a great experience to see and hear that even the Department aides were proud to work in such a modern and high quality written to hospital. You have to remain very assertive and be able to talk to the responsible specialist about your ailment. After 4 days on December 6, 2015 was allowed to go home to close the antibiotic treatment. My thanks go to the care team of Department 5 East, Unit A.

Even 1 star is still too much for this hospital. Both my ankle and my mother-in-law's wrist are nailed. If you have free choice don't go here!

Nurse stabbed my child in the eye with scissors. Then she laughed at me and told me to make a new one.

Referred to the hospital according to protocol due to growth retardation baby. The first conversation was just not a death announcement, it was about whether we had to stay for two days. The delivery would certainly take place in week 36/37. Then four (!) Times a week for a heartbeat, a conversation, an echo, for four weeks! Then the delivery shifted for a week, nice when you are completely prepared for it. At a certain moment we read in the eyes of the staff why we were actually walking around the hospital because everything went so well with the baby. We thought that was going back to the midwife from the start? ho but. Eventually introduced in week 41 (!), After which we already packed our coats. But no, the small one was 5 grams (!) Too light according to the protocol! A new agony followed with all different nurses who all had different opinions about breastfeeding. The crown tightened the moment we had put a new diaper on the little one ourselves. Whether we were criminals? We were not allowed to go home the next day either. Although that was promised and we had been looking forward to it. No, because of the 12 times checking the blood sugar level (the first eleven were perfect), the 12th time was not good. It was strange that we wanted to go home, because you have the best for your child ??? In short, a hospital with frightened, unprofessional, protocol-freak-like people who turn your pregnancy into a fairly large drama.

Too bad I can't give 0 stars. So many mistakes have been made here within my family and with me. Too many to describe here in a review. Short version: Wrong diagnosis with me, so I spent years unnecessarily with complaints, wrong medication, etc. My mother contracted a hospital bacterium here, this can happen, but the treatment of that bacterium finally went wrong. Because of this she has been in the hospital for months. And so I still have a few stories. Go to another hospital if possible

Nothing to complain about staff and care of department west 2 for the little girl. That is perfect. I can also stay with her for the time.
Only the rules now with the corona make no sense. Daughter just born and too early. But as parents you can not be with your child together only 1 person in the room wants to be daddy with his daughter I have to leave. I think that's one thing. Child should have both parents with him.

Maybe a good hospital. But not if you are brought in by ambulance. My brother did not go there a day ago and died in the Beatrix hospital. The hospital didn't call us that he died. He was dead in bed. His eyes were still open. No one has come to apologize either.
Now 2 months later our doctor still has no file.

Very bad experience with the pediatricians.
Our daughter regularly saw blue in her mouth and hands at a young age.
According to the doctor, there was little going on before the pediatrician.
She has a light leaky heart valve and the doctors said nothing more.
At some point, later in life, she was short of breath to the emergency room.
Was little going on again according to the doctor on duty. Argument this was probably due to muscle abdominal exercises.
Was an overprotective mother.
Another day we are called that another doctor had looked at it. She had fluid behind her lungs and her pumping function seemed to be deteriorating.

Were completely done with an appointment at the cardiology adult clinic of the Beatrix. Our daughter was already 17 (she took us seriously). He forwarded us to the Erasmus hospital. It came out that our daughter has a severe connective tissue syndrome. They also forgot to appoint pediatricians. That our daughter has a small hole in the septum of her heart.

I regularly got in my head with the pediatricians that I was an overprotective mother. Very outrageous that this happened, fortunately she is now in a hospital.
Where they are alert and where you are taken seriously. It could have been very different with our daughter, due to the connective tissue syndrome.

Surgical staff is good. Coordination between staff below par.
What is terribly disturbing is that as a patient you don't get a chance to sleep / rest here, which is essential for recovery. At 00.30 a new drip is laid, at 06.00 one wakes up after a very restless night full of chattering and talking staff. There was also absolutely no compliance with visiting times and numbers of visitors. My mother lay here for three weeks and was allowed to enjoy every day the very loud and very numerous relatives of her Turkish roommate, who walked in and out undisturbed with food all day long. In the meantime, we, a quiet family who kept to the visiting hours, were looked away and scorned by these people, who apparently could not find mixed rooms. As if we were responsible for this.

Nothing to complain about the staff when I am there.
For years I have been at the pain clinic for nerve blocks and other syringes that help me relieve the pain in my neck, shoulder, knees, rump and foot. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. All "normal"!
3 stars because in recent years I have never been called how it goes after spraying, while I have the appointment black and white that they call.
I have been waiting since April for a referral to an orthopedist who can inject my knees. Something that was previously done on the pain clinic by a doctor (now retired) and that afterwards never liked. Meanwhile many phone calls and e-mail later and I have decided to go to Utrecht after 3 years. Once again top staff, adhere to zero agreements !!

The Beatrix hospital has been voted the best hospital in the Netherlands several times. That is not thanks to the gynecology and obstetrics outpatient clinic. This department can still learn to listen to the wishes of pregnant ladies. And don't treat 3 as a number. As a pregnant lady, you still have rights and you don't always have to go along with the story of a gynecologist. They should ensure that a pregnant lady enters the delivery as relaxed as possible, because this benefits the delivery, instead of already assuming that the delivery will become a horror story. Fortunately, with the help of a midwife from outside the hospital, I managed to have a dream delivery.

Supper hospital there you are still a human and not a no

Unfortunately had a less pleasant pregnancy ... now walk to 34 weeks and at 23 + 5 ran into an imminent premature birth. Because they could not help here, I was sent to the wkz. From 32 weeks I had the choice whether I wanted to go back to Gorinchem or stay in the wkz. Well I had only stayed in the wkz. Unfortunately, things are not going well at the moment, now 48 hours with 4 hours of sleep. When I call the hospital around 11 pm, I am told that I should have called during the day because they were busy. Once there, there was no one else ... the woman had said that I had to bring pajamas just in case (so I also took my own pillow with me) well I do not step inside and the woman takes us to a room leads for a ctg says, why do you bring a pillow? So I explained that I should have brought my pajamas just to be on the safe side. She says "seems strong to me" also sent home with the fact that I just have to let go and give me the feeling that I'm just throwing it all off, that I'm just making things up and cheating. Even more stress in the meantime to give birth there later ... also just don't listen to my story and it is completely different and it turns writing in my file and then also get a different story from the gynecologist than I have told ... really most of it birth center / obstetrics really do not deserve a star .. I remember the name of 1 midwife (Karin) and that was a treasure of a person! Hence that 2nd star. I am so dreadful about giving birth there. There are so many other things that have had very annoying and bad effect on me by not listening and comments and criticism from people, but then after an hour I am not finished with my message .. very unfortunate!
