Third visit to this Cafe and quickly becoming my favourite! It has a lovely laid back atmosphere, good to visit alone, with friends, with children and there's lots of floor space so fine for prams. Its disabled friendly and has an easy access door and disabled loo.Its dog friendly too yaay! There's something for everyone on the menu and I love that there's lots of options for VEGANS. I had a delicious red pepper soup today, with soft granary bread and dairy free spread, and a soya coffee.Staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you, they seem to enjoy working here which adds to the atmosphere.
The best cappuccino I've ever had! This place is a gem, food is also excellent. Highly recommend
Nice place, very local experience. Friendly service. Good coffee, tea and pastries.
Ticks all the boxes for me, nice coffee, lovely vegan food choices, fun friendly team and I always feel warm and safe here x
Obviously quieter than normal but still a nice atmosphere and nice food.
Excellent coffee's and delicious snacks. I particularly like the mushroom and walnut 'sausage' roll. Vegan friendly food, great service and good atmosphere.
Great staff had a mocca it was chocolatey and coffeey
Good indie coffee, Melbourne style and hipster without pretentiousness. Great food too.
Nice independent coffee shop. Cosy and friendly has a good selection of drinks on menu.
Great place. Very innovative with a unique atmosphere
Yum, yum great place for food and ambiance, staff helpful and smiley
Good coffee and food. A bit in the pricey range. High quality ingredients used though. Update: Went back for a quick coffee during the bank holiday. They are keeping the standards and food offered has higher quality than an average Costa. Prices are OK for the offer. Not giving another star as they allow dogs inside.
Had afternoon tea here food was delicious , couldnt fault it a great variety , and caters for vegiterians will definitely be visiting again , also great service and a welcoming atmosphere
Cosy shop with pleasant and welcoming staff, food is always a great quality and the drinks are good with tea being a fab price and really nice!
Nice place, friendly staff and good food at a reasonable price
Nice coffee, good selection of snacks. .
The gentleman serving us, he had a checkered shirt glasses, and a slight accent (sorry about the dodgy description) was absolutely lovely, great service. We had the Sat-yay burger, sweet potato fries and tuna melt, and coffees, everything was UNREAL, we will definitely be back !! Amazing. Especially with the covid restrictions and everything.
Don't normally do reviews but thought I'd share this with you! Went in to buy a coffee earlier today, saw a nice piece of banana bread which I ordered. Was rather flummoxed to see the server guy slice the piece in half and wrap it in a bag. Cost me a fiver for a coffee and half a piece of cake!
Decent coffe and some open mic music lends a really easy atmosphere to the place. I went on a Thursday and cannot comment on other days.
Great vegan and vegetarian breakfasts. Coffee good too. I like that they had nice filter coffee as well as the usual espresso made coffees.
Great little coffee shop. Minimalist but who needs distraction for a good ol' chat. Milkshakes and smoothies were great and open until late.
Really nice place. Chilled out and civilized atmosphere. Will be my new chill out space whenever I'm around the area.
Great coffee and gluten free and vegan options, even has ethical diet cola if that's your thing
For Italians: croissant and cappuccino like us. Wonderful place in Penny Lane for a great break.
vegan and doggo friendly, VERY gorge coffee, fab service and a v cute venue. But despite the pretty plating, the veegz brekkie needs more salt on that guac mumma, herb up those mushies, a lil dollop of pesto on the tommy maybe.. something to distract me from the (vbites style) vegan sausages sadder than my childhood. But no seriously, some small low cost changes would make this cafe a must for corduroy wearing, oat milk flat white drinking folk who have come to avoid their now online degree.
Popped in for lunch on a whim. Very pleased and impressed. The Buddha Bowl salad was absolutely delicious: fresh, interesting and well presented. Coffee excellent, too. Staff very efficient and friendly. I will be back!
Staff were friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. Toys for children were really helpful with the 2 little ones. Food was lovely.
Fabulous coffee shop. Friendly staff and great service! Food is ace too!
A bit pricey but a nice experience overall with friendly staff
Chorizo and jalepeno giant crispy sausage rolls... need I say more? No photos sorry. They didn't last that long.
Delicious coffee and cake. Lovely staff. Cortado!they smashed it
Always excellent. Friendly staff, great coffee and good food. Recommended.
A brilliant coffee shop with a unique menu. I came in at breakfast for a flat white and noticed they also had overnight oats on the menu. That was me nicely fed until lunch and they tasted great especially with the added fruit on top.
A fantastic independent venue that does everything right. Great coffee, great food, great staff, great vibe. I wish them every success.
Great coffee with comfortable seats and not a chain well worth a visit
Coffee shop near Penny Lane. Stop and visit if you are around. Really nice atmosphere and staff. I had avocado on toast and my partner full breakfast. It was really tasty and perfect poached eggs. Coffee was nice too. Perfect morning in this coffee shop in Penny Lane.
Really great place for the kids and our dog. The space was a little untidy but that may be part of the charm! If you re juggling a couple of kids and a dog the bathrooms are very accessible. My Daughter also dropped her amazing hot chocolate and the staff were great about it. A successful trip in my experience
Very nice coffee shop with amazing cakes and sandwiches. Definitely recommend it.
Great little independent coffee shop. Two sides to choose from. Fab coffee and small food well above standard.
Popped in here for the first time yesterday. Try the excellent pourover coffee. Really chilled atmosphere.
Brilliant little independent place, great little kids area, breastfeeding friendly, nice atmosphere
Great place for a coffee, have a chat, bite to eat.. Child friendly and wheel chair access straight from street..
Nice coffee Family friendly place
The ideal local coffee shop : great coffees from around the world served well and accompanied by delicious cakes pastries. They are conspicuously good at catering for vegans and those with food in tolerances.
Great coffee shop and good atmosphere. Dog friendly.
If you've come on the Beatles tourist trail up to Penny Lane, or if you're just a Liverpool 15 local, this stunning coffee shop is really not to be missed. Had the best prepared coffee I've had this side of Seattle and they have some really stunning home-made cakes (and even rainbow ice cream, you can charm the kids with) You can catch up with work or other stuff with the free wifi (seemed to be plenty of fashionable people doing that) - or just stare out of the window at the 'shelter in the middle of the roundabout' (even if that place is abandoned at the moment) and watch the world go by. Oh, and lovely people to. This is one of my random finds that really has most impressed me in years.....
Nice place but (and this may just be my taste) simply didn't like the coffee which is a bit of a hindrance for a coffee shop.
Awesome place. I own a coffee shop and this is the closest to that I can find locally. Good service, good flat whites and they sell good coffee for home too.
My local coffee shop and a million times better than Costa. The filter coffee is delicious despite the fact that l ruin it by adding milk (according to one member of staff and a coffee drinking puritan). I often bring my laptop with me and set myself up on one of the desks at the back and it's a great space to do a bit of work. The staff are always friendly and engaging and the food looks lovely although l'll confess to never trying it myself. Only downside is that they welcome kids groups on the weekend who hog the tables and don't buy anything so l have to give the place a wide berth but appreciate that probably can't be helped. Community friendly and all that...
Friendly staff, delicious sausage rolls and steaming hot drinks
Lovely, relaxed coffee shop in popular part of Liverpool. Lovely coffee and cakes and amazing hot chocolates.
Lovely cafe. Very friendly staff and the food is always consistently good. Covid regulations adhered to.
Nice to pop in for a freshly squeezed orange juice. Friendly staff.
Brilliant coffee place. Nice selection. Good vibe and nice place to just chill with a book or get some work done
Nice, clean, child friendly place to relax grab a coffee or a snack.
Great! Nice drinks and snacks. Amazing location too.
Great staff, coffee and cake. What more do you need. Don't bother queuing for average over priced coffee and cake further down Smithdown road, visit here, you will enjoy.
Great coffee and range of food and cakes. Can't wait to go back.
First visit. Really pleasant place. Delicious coffee and a good choice of teas. Staff friendly and there is a lovely atmosphere in the shop.
Great coffee, relaxed atmosphere, good music, friendly staff. Different rooms with sofas/ desks/ cafe seating. WiFi works well. Support them!
First time, only had drinks but it seemed ok,staff were friendly.
Always drove past this place and wanted to try it, it was fantastic lovely Coffee and Amazing Breakfast bagel, with bacon and sausage!
I have a coffee and full english breakfast at least once a month however, I've attended today and experienced the worst visit yet. The beans were freezing cold, the sausages had been cooked at least twice over to the point of being burnt and a very hard skin and the bacon was like rubber as if it had been cooked in the morning and just left. Was very disappointed with he experience and will probably look elsewhere for a Saturday morning breakfast.
Good coffee, good tea. Delicious sandwiches, great cake!
Best coffee in Liverpool with an amazing atmosphere. Go! You won t be disappointed. Our favourite.
The coffee is really good of course however very surprised how good the food was with plenty of choice with a Gluten free option.
Top quallity coffee and home made food is excellent. ..
If you're a coffee drinker you'll really appreciate Bean There. For everyone else, it's basically an indie coffee shop, with cakes and sandwiches. I liked the music in there though, which is why it gets four stars, and somewhat elevates it above a Costa or Starbucks. The interior is also bigger than it seems, although I didn't go in the back rooms.
