Definitely not worth the $50+ we spent. Ribs taste like they were made in the oven. Brisket is extremely thin and dry. No sauce and no char. Sides...bbq baked beans look and taste like imitation smoked chili, coleslaw was edible but runny. Loaded potato salad was ok just needed a pinch of salt and pepper. Needless to say my husband and I will NOT be repeat customers.

*Customer Service was GREAT* We do appreciate that*

I was craving for BBQ and chosen this place. I went to drive thru on the right side of the restaurant and ordered half slave ribs and half lb of brisket, side for BBQ beans and Loaded baked potatoes salad to take it home.
When I ordered there, I waited in the usual parking lot and the employee carried what I ordered. The employees were very nice.
The store looks casual and has picnic-style benches and tables outside.

Well, I went home and tried BBQ. Compared to other BBQ places, Ribs here are thick and elastic and I was very satisfied. However, Brisket was disappointed because it was dry and sliced too thin. The taste, texture and appearance were poor. I wonder how delicious this Brisket would have been if it were a little thicker and had the sauce.
I didn't have enough taste of BBQ sauce, so I added my BBQ sauce at home, but it didn't make sense what I went to the restaurant for. Next time, I would like to get extra BBQ sauce and eat Ribs again.

They catered for me this past weekend for 60 people and it was the best experience ever. The ribs, chicken, bbq sauce, slaw, beans, muffins, honey butter was unbelievably delicious. The food was out of this world amazing. The entire process from beginning to end was wonderful. Thank you so much BBQ Pete's! Love you guys! We will be back!

I actually felt unsafe and would not let my wife or daughter ever go there alone. I would be afraid to try and eat inside.

Wow......a complete customer sevice rude night. Car in front of me was pondering the menu and I thought waved me forward. I got out to make sure it was cool and the aggressive attitudes started. The cashier called them up, they ordered, and I went to order my food. Asked if she was treated with respect by previous customer. I pull around to wait for my food. A server walks out and I motion him to drop the food on the passenger side. You know Corona Virus and all. The server got upset with this request, was as rude as can be and basically threw the food in the car. I was so surprised and so mad that I went back to the cashier to lodge a complaint. Owners need to know what is going on when they aren't around. The manager came out and it was the same person that threw my food at me. I was accused of being "smug", and told we don't deliver through passenger windows. Heated exchange of words. On the way out the original car in front of was waiting to give me the finger as i drove out.

Probably buddies with the manager scamming free food from the poor owner.

Stay away. Stay really, really far away.

If you are a Puyallup Fair fan, then you already know BBQ Pete's. They are the folks who have the huge outdoor BBQ pits that send sweet alder smoke billowing into the September air.
Now they bring their legendary meats and salads to Lakewood, along with real BBQ pits smoking in the back.
Whether it's the succulent baby back ribs, beef brisket, pulled pork or smoked chicken, they do it right every time.
I'll agree that it's not the cheapest meal in town but you always get your money's worth. And I guarantee that you'll find yourself coming back for more.

I usually get one of the brisket sandwiches but this time i decided to try the pork sandwich "BBQ Pork on Bun". The pork was lacking in flavor and dry and the entire sandwich had just a smidge of sauce on top. The fries and loaded potato salad tasted fine.

BBQ Petes was stop number 227 on my 48 state BBQ Tour. They have a rather traditional flavor and style, nothing too unique but they do traditional BBQ extremely well. Excellent, rich BBQ flavors and perfectly smoked meats. One of my top five stops in Washington state.
