Used to be cool..
No Top Gear, no BBC.
Looks very nice there now (has been modernised) and has loads of places to sit without having to buy a coffee etc.
This a marvellous place to take your children. My family really enjoyed it here and we have some nice pictures to remember it by.
The area surrounding TV Centre is now open to the public to walk around. There are pleasant gardens out front and a small lawned area with deck chairs and large bean bags for resting on. The trees offer cooling shade.
Still under development, there are a couple of restaurants open in the side facade and some at the back. Little sign as yet of many patrons. It's early days but the area shows promise and when more is open will be an attractive venue to visit
When you know how is works It all makes sense if you are seeing a show Get there early ! Don't take any thing they ask you not to. Think airport security ! Make it less stressful for yourself ! But totally loved the experience got to to go after 8 years !
Nice place the way it turns up open area can walk sit and eat
Grassed area in front of the entrance is open to the public.
This building have been converted to beautiful flats. Directly opposite Westfield shopping centre
What an amazing and famous place.Went for live recording.Lots of waiting around but great to be a part of.
Wonderful day...we had the best guide ever!Thankyou xxxx
Amazing. The first studio l went into was the wrong one, just pure glass, so you can see right through to the other side. I went through the rotating doors out to the right and there it was the studio works. Really the nicest building down at the BBC.
Excellent work environment with industrial ceiling.
Show was good. Seats very uncomfortable. No food or drinks allowed inside. No food or drinks offered either
Go to an audience viewing of your favourite show via SROAudiences... you wont be disappointed.
Thomas & Friends In the Legend In Viking Railway Summer 2019th
Went to see the live Loose Women show. Brilliant. Can highly recommend
I've been to see a few recordings here and it is always great. The queues outside take a while but as you pay nothing for tickets it is to be expected. Staff are always nice and helpful and try to accommodate anything you need. Security is good and quick and once inside it is well organised
Wheelchair access great and good parking over the road in Westfield sopping centre
So annoyed that they hold you outside after security checks where you can't have any food. At least let you eat it before you go in and if you haven't then they can take it from you at the entrance of the studio or have a place to leave it!
Working on the new building here. Great place to pop in see some stars
Dear Google Maps,
Why has someone vandalised the BBC Studioworks Ltd. entry at Television Centre, Wood Lane, in the past couple of weeks and combined it with BBC Studios Ltd (a completely different company in a different location) and have destroyed all my submitted photos in this process? Please revert this.
Used to work here when it was BBC Television Centre. It is now just called Television Centre.
The doughnut building was horrible in the summer. No proper aircon, so it was like an oven.
The BBC club on the 4th floor was ok, but the bottom bar was rarely open.
Audience Member for a show but it was chaos. Great show though
Lots of standing around before we got into the venue, but well organised once we'd got in.
Could look after the audiences a bit more, no shelter from the weather at all..
2 ladies toilet for the masses! Rebuked for using empty Male loos when queue was huge for ladies
Went to see Russell Howard. Quite a que and not garanteed to get in. Must get there early to get a seat. Told you get a free pint but they give you a small can of beer. Also you must drink it before the show starts or they take it away if can open. Cannot take any food in. Interesting to see how show put together. Some parts of the performance is repeated if mistakes are made. Overall good experience but probably would not do it again. Ps any one not getting in gets a ticket for next performance
.
A great experience, came for a recording of Russell Howard hour. Used the tube to Wood Lane from King's Cross really simple journey.
Dont trust Google maps to get you to the right place. We learnt that the hard way
Waited outside for about 45 mins to watch the Graham Norton show. Good location, easy to get to, with lots of transport links! Would not be so pleasant in the winter though!
Well worth visiting for live shows and broadcasts. Very interesting to see how a programme is made behind the scenes, such as "Lorraine" or "Loose Women."
Visited for Russell Howard hour. Had a fun time laughing at the jokes.
Came here looking to meet celebs, but as the security guard told me, this isn t the one famous people go to. Hung around a bit cause I thought he was joking. Turns out he was telling no lies.
The studios are fine, just hope that you don't have to stand in the wind and rain for 40 minutes before they let you in! (I felt really sorry for the people checking us in and doing the security checks, they were out in the weather for even longer.)
Visited the major refurb with open house tour. Very interesting and informative and great to see how they preserved some original features, some studios, and the new apartments.
Waited in the cold over an hour to be in audience for Big Narstie Show...didn't get in not happy!
Saw The Last Leg there and it was brilliant. It was really well organised.
It was sunny, hot and beautiful. Small cosy clean park at the front where you can relax and enjoy a coffee or snack before or after a show.
Plus, it's 2' from Westfield where you can do your shopping afterwards. Tube station next door. What more to ask.
If you have tickets for a show, arrive super early if you have general admission, there is no parking on site. Westfield is across the road parking available but alittle bit pricey. But that being said it's generally worth the hassle.
Went today staff was clearly being racist and did not even manage to see nothing due to this. If you going in a group don't wait for each others like I did. what they do is not let you in until the highest number on your band is reach for all the group members. Which is clearly unfair as 2 of my friends had waited so long at the front with low number but still did not let them go even when I arrived. There was 5 last seats left and we where at front of queue and still he said no to us. what he should of done is let both my mates in as the had low number and not me. But instead they let people in who had very high numbers and my number is only 2 away from that. I can see he was deliberately not letting us in. Even other staff said to him your mean. Shocking this still happens. The same guy was at the table to give the wraist band he was also rude their and did not give the other wrist band for the person who was not there yet. But the customer in front he did give them it for people who have not yet arrived.
Absolutely incredible! We've been to Jools Holland's new set and it's amazing.
Long time queuing to go in but really enjoy the show. Great fun.
This Is a view of the bbc studios outside where they do most of the outdoor live performances. Great set up, beautiful atmosphere all around. You might spot several security personnel around this area and if you lucky, you might run into several celebrities.
Graham Norton show taping with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Debbie Harry and Nadia Hussain. My tip if you get tickets, arrive at least an hour before the time they state.
Lots of construction work going on when I visited - be ready to wait with no shelter or in the cold for hours if going as studio audience...
Great studio experience and whole area looks brilliant now with all the development.
So much better since its revamp and lots of celebrities just hanging around . . keep your eyes peeled everyone
Graham Norton live , absolutely brilliant . Probably about 2 and a bit hours but seemed to fly by . Compare comes out to warm up crowd and Graham is halirous .
We enjoyed the whole experience, unhurried and relaxed atmosphere, the restaurants outside on the TV Centre concourse were also excellent
Went there for a taping of Your Face or Mine. Smaller studio than imagined, but the chairs were rather comfy. Easy to reach via public transport.
They have a nice pizza restaurant and a nice burger and wings restaurant there is also a nice bar and coffee shop on site. Nice place to visit
