Don't go there!!!!! What happened to your hospital?? I was there 3 nights ago for kidney stones and no help at all....
I sat in your emergency room for over an hour
I had passed out from the pain I was in in your emergency room ( waiting area).
My wife could not get me up for awhile and when she did I didn't realize where we were...
No personal came to check in on me or nothing...
After I finally got to see the doctor i was in the back for 30 minutes and sent home..
No scans of any kind....
Your hospital and care from the staffing in this department really sucks....
I'm not positive but I think it was because of my insurance I have...
At the time I arrived I was told 2 people were ahead of me...
My wife said that other did come into the ER and we're called back....
Again thank you for great services for my insurance company is having to pay for...
I'm wondering if I should call them and see if they can stop the payment...
That would be great if they would!!!!!!

Always busy long waits children that should be seen are put to the back of the line. They prioritize incorrectly. They let their friends call in and save them rooms which makes the people who walked in have to wait longer. Takes forever to get paperwork to check out. Slow as hospital

They don't care about patient's individually, When you ask for a supervisor instead of agreeing they were wrong they attempt to stick up for employees. Whats wrong with that is they fail to realize that without patients they wouldn't have a medical facility period.

Be ready for severe wait times (If your helped period), nurses with extreme attitude that act like your inconveniencing them by making them do their job, and last but not least supervisors that don't help at all.

I highly advise you visit another facility to receive the care you deserve. If I could give negative stars I would.

Went to Banner Baywood after my moms (67) Doctor ...

Went to Banner Baywood after my moms (67) Doctor wanted to send her by EMS for a bp of 214/114 while in his office. She wanted me to take her instead so her Doctor stayed with her till I got there 10 minutes later. We check in at approx 7:06pm with a bp of 215/93. We left the er at approx 1130. We had requested twice that her bp be taken again to be told they are busy and will get to her. The 2nd time a lady who was triaging people @ the waiting room area started trying to clear out the fast track ppl vs the ppl that needed to be seen by a doctor and had informed all of us that they were very busy and that some ppl are getting sent back for fast track before others because they will not require being seen by a doctor. Fine. Then we proceed to watch the waiting room clear out and new families arrive. After over an hour of the ladies announcement we witness the nurse that told my mom he was to busy to take her bp lose a patient because he failed to take the time to read her chart and name properly. We witness the er being cleared out. AND then we witness ALL the new arrivals being triaged so we watched and waiting thinking well maybe they are fast track but after over an hour we watched every new arrival being triaged when they walked in the door! Over 4 hours we waiting for an elderly person with a dangerously high bp being ignored and told they are too busy. We left. She went and told the lady she was leaving and she had trouble finding her name!!!!! We have been to Banner Desert previously and went to Baywood because we moved and it s closer. But just take the drive....go somewhere else!!! Banner Desert staff are WAY nicer, attentive, better experience over all!! I m sorry but the folks at Baywood could use some better management and time management! I ve been to hospitals in tiny little towns where they were known to have astronomical wait times (being the only hospital in town) they by far exceed Banner Baywood. You all should be embarrassed by the lack of organization, medical professionalism, and care given by your ER staff. Sad days when my moms Doctor called ahead for her to be seen!!

This hospital wouldn't get even one star but I have to otherwise I cannot leave my review. If you need medical care and if you care for your friends and family "DO NOT" I REPEAT DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL!!!! I wouldn't even send my enemies there. A nurse there told me they do not specialize in female issues and I should have went to Gateway or desert banner another nurse suggested that it could have been the insurance I was on. I checked myself out of there and went to gateway where they treated me like a human being and took my symptoms seriously. First and last time I will ever step foot in this place.

Experience is exceptional. Both my parents are in the care of this hospital at this time. Very compassionate and respectful of my parent's needs. Questions are answered and explained to make sure we (family ) understand all outcomes. Thank you Banner Baywood ICU Staff in Heart Hospital Department, ER Staff, and General illness Department Staff.

It was the worst experience in my life...spent over 14 hours in the er, waiting for a room because i was admitted into the hospital mid afternoon. I complained to nurse how dirty it was and about blood on floor, dirty bathroom and dirty laundry...that was there prior to me being in the room. I TOOK PICS AND MY VIDEO and showed several charge nurse and nothing was done. I was in hospital for 5 days for strep pneumonia and one day...they forgot over 6 hours to give me meds and water because the cna ..told me my nurse was busy for 6 hours..i went there for ear infection and sinus infection and never got treated for it..i never seen an Ent Dr. Also i was told first had cancer in neck and then the next day in my nose...meanwhile i was never tested for it or diagnosis for cancer. The nursing staff lied on several occasion about ,why i couldn't get my medical records. It took me over 5 hours to get then because ,staff was unwilling and I was questioning why im not getting the help i need. Mean while every day around 12 they ask you for money and tell you your charges and never billed the insurance company yet. I was sent home with 12 medication and no one never told me they had pharmacy on site..so i was not able to get any of my meds filled to th next day . I was told administration was going to speak to me but know one never came. This hospital need to be shut down for neglect of care, discrimination and being exposed to biohazzard waste. Posted video on facebook so u can see for your self.

First time ever being at this hospital and I would...

First time ever being at this hospital and I would have to say it's been the worst experience I've ever had at a hospital. I'm only speaking on the behalf of the emergency room, not the rest of the hospital. The staff was rude and inconsiderate. I understand it's an emergency room so there's a lot going on but there wasn't a sense of urgency or any rush to help the patients. There was another patient screaming for help for the entire time we were there, it went on for hours. The Physican Assistant came in said she would be back in with supplies and never came back, she never even came to back to say there would be a delay. She never came back at all. I would not recommend this hospital for emergency care. The only service that I received that was sincere came from a janitor. People in the medical field are supposed to care for their patients well being and overall care, that was not the case.

My stay was OK but when it was time for me to come home the doctor did not want me to come home by My shelf because they were told that I was too weak and I live alone. Well the doctor that was explaining it to me was more concerned about me not being able to pay the copay than trying too here My concerns.

Worst hospital ever. Pts who arrived after me were roomed before me AND it was EMPTY, shouldn't have been an 1 hour wait. Dr ordered wrong labs for me, making me wait even longer. They don't have real doors, they have curtains. VERY LOUD AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! Wouldn't reccomend this hospital!!! Banner dessert is bad too but I'd rather go there!!!

Honestly? Other than a long wait to get checked into the hospital from the ER, this has been one of the best stays I have had in a hospital! The staff, ESPECIALLY my lovely nursing assistant Sarah, have been exceptional. I have been so comfortable due to their excellent care! They took what I had to say seriously and never forced me to take or do anything I wasn't 100% comfortable with. Every surgeon I spoke with was completely professional and all procedures were explained clearly. No question I had went unanswered and I was released when expected. Well done, Banner Baywood!

Came into the emergency room this morning around 10:45 am due to chest pain and numbness in hand. They immediately did an EKG, however the nurse did not put the leaflets on correctly. After the EKG I was sent to another lady that took my blood pressure, asked me my symptoms and send me back into the waiting room. It is now 12:16 PM. I have still seen no doctor, I've watched the lady talk down to several patients, 2 people have walked out due to the wait, 4 other people complaining of chest pain are sitting in the waiting room as well, another patient t has started to throw up in the waiting room but staff ignored her while other PATIENTS assisted. I'm currently waiting on a ride so that I can be treated like a human being at another hospital. This one deserves to be shut down!

Staff is horrible. Do not respond to patients in a timely manner, always late with medications/ pain meds. Dont bring patient water or blankets. Let them sit in fecal matter for long periods of time before coming to clean them up. No where for family to sit or sleep due to recliners being broken. One hospital we will never go to again!

Personnel Director:

Personnel Director:

This letter is to commend four of your employees: De'Anne Wagoner,Patient Transport; Matt, Emergency Room tech; and two security guards, one male and one female.

On November 12, about 5:00 pm, I drove a friend to the hospital to be with her husband, who was in the emergency area. As we were leaving, I asked Matt if there were a wheelchair available for my friend, who was in pain from having cracked her kneecap two days prior. Not only did he find one, he wheeled her to the parking area himself.

As we were preparing to drive to the upper level, my car wouldn't start. Along came De'Anne, offering to give me a jump start. When that didn't work, she call the desk to inform someone of the situation. She refused $10.00 for her help. Then the male security guard came to try to start my car. No luck.

Because the tow truck couldn't fit under the lower-level parking, my car had to be pushed the entire length of the lot to the entrance. The blonde female security guard did most of the pushing herself while the tow driver steered. At 75, my help was negligible.

I was amazed and appreciative of the helpfulness of one employee after another. I hope you can put this information into their files.

Sincerely, Jacqueline Waters

Father had emergency stomach surgery after a peg tube was placed in his stomach at Restora (across the street from Baywood).

The Baywood ICU was very informative and they made it a point to speak with me in person to discuss the surgery beforehand.

After the surgery I received a followup call from the surgeon to let me know how everything went.

Then I received a followup call to make sure I got the first call from the surgeon.

I greatly appreciated all of the phone calls and information I was provided. As I am not a doctor myself, I don't know the right questions nor do I have the right answers, having Baywood actively involve me in the discussions put my mind at ease.

I greatly recommend Baywood but highly discourage anyone from going to Restora afterwards.

Wow, all the bad reviews regarding Banner Baywood ...

Wow, all the bad reviews regarding Banner Baywood Medical Center makes me scared to come here for any emergency. At first I was excited my husband and I found a place to retire near here. Now, I am wondering if we have an emergency, we should drive the distance to Mercy Gilbert Hospital off of 202 and Val Vista. Every time we went to Mercy's ER, we were always taken care of within 30 min or less. The one time I went to Banner Baywood for outpatient surgery was positive but never visited their ER.

I had an out patient surgery at Banner Baywood last year and was impressed with the quality of patient care I received. The pre-register and Check-In personnel were professional and courteous. The day of check in was great--I felt confident and all fears were melted away. My husband was informed of my status during surgery, given a tour and showed the RX downstairs for any prescriptions I would need filled afterwards. After surgery, they made sure I was awake and alert before wheeling me to the car. My overall experience with Dr Simms and Banner Baywood was positive. That was why I was excited to think that the place we moved to was close to this hospital. But after reading all these negative reviews, I don't feel confident at all to come here for any emergency.

Treatment seemed a little unorganized or uncoordinated. A 20 minute wait after pushing the nurse call button is unacceptable! Don't leave a critically ill loved one alone here.Ordering food for a patient expect an over 10 minutes wait on the phone when you call. Staying with my sick wife I can't even get a coffee from the cafeteria at 10am on Saturday morning. They don't post the cafeteria hours but I found out they closed at 7 pm weekdays. I'm not impressed with this place.

I wa there's no blood clots so I guess ys very disappointed with the ER last time. It is usually a long wait. When I got in they did an ultrasound on my leg to check for blood clots. I never did see the ER Dr. The assistant finally came in and just said " Well there's no blood clots so I guess you can go home now!" No chance to ask any questions or anything
In...and out....that quick. Very curt and business like. Not very caring. The rooms are not as bright and pleasant as other hospitals nor as big.

I had surgery done yesterday, and in the recovery room, so far my experience is shocking. Night shift RN & Nurse were very supportive and helpful. Then when shift changed I feel like I'm in one of those bad nursing homes. Even my nephew knows I'm in pain and they treat me well. They are 5,8,&9 year olds. Physical therapy is wonderful people but the RN caring for me seems to get upset when I ask for help. WtH!!

If you want to see evil in person just come to an American hospital. Everything here is about making money, everything. You may find an individual who is caring and nice and happens to work here but those above them care about one thing, profits. Is their goal to heal you or to drain your bank account? Sad to see how bad money worship has gotten and hospitals are the worst.

Everything was going great, I was feeling like finally after 5 years something good might of flown my way... unfortunately it was tell, a few bad apples ruined my experience and because I could us a walker to get to the bathroom in my own room instead of waiting hours for them to get around to me, if they hadn't forgotten about it... So because I have the strength to be able to hop a few feet to the toilet means I am okay to go home... Hey let's put all the people with incurable diseases or who have bullet wound, they will all be fine on the streets... They should have all their licences and funding pulled...

Edit 10/25:
It is hit and miss with each person

I don't even know where to start. I WILL be filing...

I don't even know where to start. I WILL be filing an injunction against this facility for false imprisonment and criminal negligence. I took my father to this hospital when he had a stroke several days ago. this is his second stroke in 2 months which has left him barely able to use a spoon or fork. the very first night he was there he made the comment that he "didn't want to live like this" for obvious reasons he had become incontinent which would be hard for anyone to go through. however due to the comment they deemed him suicidal! they took away his cell phone and all other personal belongings and put a person in his room to sit there and watch him like he was a criminal or psychopath. this happened as i walked in to the hospital on my first visit with him. seeing him in distress and visibly upset i felt that it would be best to move him to a different hospital. the manager on duty at the time told me that he could not leave do to the suicide watch. When i asked her to show me the papers stating that my father had been found unable to make sound decisions and was a danger to himself or others she could not provide them. I explained to her that it was very risky legally speaking depriving someone of their civil liberties due to the fact that there many issues when it comes to holding someone against their will. i then asked if she was refusing to honor his wishes to be moved to another facility she said "YES" i then asked are you also refusing honor my wishes as his son to release him again she said "YES" i then replied ok then we will see you in court and turned to leave. during the exchange of words three security guards had arrived and as i walked away she said they needed to talk to me i told her i didn't give a f**** if they wished to talk to me they then piled into the elevator i was in and proceeded to tell me that i was not welcome back at the hospital that night. i called them from home and again requested they transfer him to a different hospital they again declined. i told the manager i would be hiring a team of attorneys to land in the middle of their sh** and they would burn for what they where doing. again they took words out of context and told local police that i had threatened their lives. I WAS AT A LOSS AND FINALLY JUST GAVE UP FIGHTING THEM.
the next day they had evaluated him and deemed him not a threat to himself but failed to notify me of this i went to see him the next day and he was tangled up in his blankets with the bed alarm going off and the nurse didnt come for at least five minutes after i got there it was goin off when i walked out of the elevator. my brother his other son had called me saying that he couldnt get through to him when he called the hospital when i visited this morning he was again tangled in his bedding trying to get free to use the urine bottle that was placed right next to his breakfast which he did not eat remember that he has no motor control i had to help him use the urinal he told me he felt worse every day and was losing more of his motor function every time he woke up. i looked for his room phone and there wasnt one!!!!! thats why my brother couldnt get through so i pushed the call button on his bed AND 15 MINUTES LATER A MANAGER SHOWED UP SAW I WAS THERE AND THEN CALLED THE NURSE. the nurse came and when i explained that he felt worse every day she replied "well i see he's not eating. he needs to eat" my father then said he didnt want what they brought him she said "well you have a menu all you have to do is use your roomphone to call and order whatever you want" i pointed out that there was no phone in his room she acted shocked. The bottom line is these people in this hospital have made a difficult time pretty much unbearable the lack of compassion and care is horrific and i will do everything i can to make sure no other family has to go through what we have. AND THEY STILL HAVE YET TO CONTACT ME.
THIS HOSPITAL SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

Worst experience in my life. Dont ever go to this sorry place they call themselves hospital. I waited for over 4 hours and they didnt check me in. There was a patient there waiting for 7 hours and they still hadn't been checked in. After reading the reviews I knew I made a mistake. I leave my tags at the counter. I tell them that your reviews have been saying that you guys are backed up over 3 months. The loser ER wanna be nurse says, Tiss the season! What a worst business they have, no customer service at all.

My husband suffered a minor stroke and was transferred here from the Banner Baywood ER. We are pleased with the care he has received even though there are 5 patients to each nurse in the stroke center. I don t know if that is a standard ratio. It does seem to take awhile to get a response once we light the call button which indicates the nurses and assistants are very busy! The hospital food is terrible! The discharge process was pretty chaotic but that may have been because he was being transferred to a rehab facility.

Savages! First thing they do as you walk in is hit you with high pressure payment tactics designed to make you think you have to pay up front, or on a credit card which no one should ever do. Had to show up 90 mins early for my wife's ct scan so the could try to drag money out of us up front and the price was twice what Smiles Imaging charges.

Horrible staff, horrible service. Waited for 45 minutes in the er and got tired of waiting, after asking a nurse about how long the wait would be, I got an "I don't know" answer, so I just left, I'm going to a hospital where I know I'll be seen as soon as I check in, no matter what time it is. Whole place was dirty, and another patient made me uncomfortable by staring at me for 20 minutes, when I asked him what's up he basically just shrugged me off, I asked him twice if he would please stop staring and m you requests were ignored. So screw that hospital, its lazy overnight staff and that guy was lucky I was too tired to RIP out his eyes.

Took my daughter to the ER here after hitting her head and having some symptoms related to a concussion. After a little wait, having a little bit to eat/drink to make sure she could keep things down, and a very brief visit with a doctor they sent us on our way. Fast forward to the $1000 bill a month later. I've got 4 kids and have been to a few ERs. My last visit to our local ER didn't cost us this much, even with the x-rays and tests they ran. How is such an exorbitant amount of money charged for service that included a few snacks and a little check up? Stay far away Banner Baywood Medical, Mary K. Harper, and likely any physician associated with Emergency Physicians Southwest PC! I can't imagine how much this visit would have been had somebody actually done anything more!

From San Diego and in comparison, this ER was sincerely the best I have encounted (array of health issues) in 39 years. I was just visiting Az. As a forward retired Marine with cancer speaking; the Bad reviews seem to have been left by unhappy victims of the issue of their choosing on that specific time and date. Might be a routine function of their survival / defense/denial mechanism and this is their usual state of being. Just saying.

The ER wait is very long. First, you talk to the staff at the desk. Then you wait for a lady at a desk. After you talk to her, you sit in the lobby until another lady, at a desk about 5 steps from the 1st lady, calls you. Then you wait. Then you go to a pre-room. In this room some guy in a white coat was angry when I asked him to speak to me, as Dad was confused. He actually slammed the sliding door shut. I don't know who he was. Then you go to a different lobby. Then they call you to a room. This is crazy, for my 87 year old father. What really needs addressed is the care for a dementia patient. I told the nurse that he was sun downing, and getting confused. She did not even go in the room to check. All it would take is a simple smile, a small reassurance, and how about turning the blasting light off? She never checked and I have her name. It was after dinner time. The second nurse I had to go find, after they moved him down a few rooms. Asking for a blanket for an 87 year old man should not be so hard. The wait may be acceptable, 7-8 hours, the process stinks. The doctor was excellent. You should tell the nurses, I heard their conversations talking about the other nurses, doctors and patients, at their station, FOR AT LEAST 5 HOURS. Be kind, or get another job. Everyone is doing the best they can when they are ill, and scared. Thank you.

My mother had surgery scheduled for today. The hospital made her wait all day, fasting and no water to tell her that she can not have surgery today because of a possible contamination. I can appreciate the effort to keep germs away from patience however the real problem was a machine malfunction, fiund out from a doctor, which they knew about prior to my mother's scheduled surgery. The only words that come to mind when I think of this hospital is negligence. They not only canceled her surgery they couldn't even supply her with the proper paperwork nor refund her money.
This hospital is in dire need of a reconstruction from the ground up.

This was one of the most horrific experiences of m...

This was one of the most horrific experiences of my life. It has taken away any safety of my place in the world of receiving help after experiencing this. There were a few very nice nurses that I greatly appreciate, especially the very nice one that helped me get out of this awful place, but for the most part it ruined every ounce of security that a hospital is a safe place to go. You lie in this room and when you press your nurses button, you get a nurse's aide, who tells you that they will tell the nurse your request and then you pretty much never hear back. Evidently, the nurses are probably overworked, since when they were able to come in, I found most of them to be considerate and kind. After one day of testing and everything coming back normal, including an MRI that the nurse told me said basically everything was completely normal, the Dr. then decided that I needed to spend an extra night to get a MRI with contrast, since on rare occasions this could show up 6 months later that something was actually there. He informed me that he would be in early for rounds, so seemed to be implying that I would be able to leave fairly early in the morning. Also, I pretty much went without food for the time I was there since they couldn't get my diet needs met.Anyway, I decided that since I was so uncomfortable in the hospital and various other problems I encountered that I just wanted to leave. That was when the problems really started. Evidently, once you enter their world. your life is not your own anymore. I was warned that if I left "AMA", that my insurance would not pay, that I would no longer have access to my medical records and that all the tests that I had done would have to be redone because I would no longer have access to them. I was told that my neurologist would no longer follow up with me,, etc, etc. Not that I cared about that,as I was not happy with him at all. I should have listened to a nurse friend of mine who told me before this happened that it would, because this is, in her opinion, there way of getting the most money out of you. Anyway, after I forced myself to spend a horrible uncomfortable night, I was informed that my doctors would be basically showing up, who knows when, and I was basically just stuck. I had had a horrific night of sleep and was now just done and I told them I was leaving. The threats started again and their attitude of "Oh Well",when we get around to getting you out of here that's when you get out of here, I lost it. I took off my heart monitor and informed them that I was leaving. Eventually about an hour and a half later, I was luckily out of this most horrible place. My nurse for the day seemed to be a very nice nurse and he was helpful. I don't know where I will go in the future for health emergencies,

Waited for 2 hours and there was only 1 person in the waiting room! And when I was called back in another waiting room I waited there another 2 hours and they saw like 3 people that came in after I did and didnt even call me yet...I finally just walked out. Horrible service here to say the least! Avoid if you can

They only got one star because I couldn't put zero...

They only got one star because I couldn't put zero. Went in with my girlfriend that is approximately 6 weeks pregnant and had some bleeding, clotting and slight cramping. Terrified we were having a miscarriage. They got us checked in real quick but then we waited almost 3 hours in the E.R. while her condition worsened. After the first 2 hours I asked what we were waiting for and the woman at the check in said they were "trying to get a bed in the back." After another hour of not being seen or even hearing anything from the staff, we got up and walked out. No one at the desk even tried to ask us anything or even say goodnight lol. Watched others come in after us and be taken back before us. Watched many others come out and leave. Finally I couldn't stand it any more since I was watching my pregnant girlfriend get steadily worse and worse. We came to mountain Vista med center and within 10 mins they had us completely checked in and in our own room! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT BANNER E.R. I hope no body goes in there with an effin gun shot or stab wound, since they will likely die waiting for "a room in the back". Def def definitely the worst hospital experience of my life, and I've gone to many hospitals for many many significant injuries. The response from "the owner" will probably be one of the same 3 generic copy pasted replies, complete with an insincere appology that I've read on every negative review! Too lazy or just don't care enough to come up with a good response I guess.

WOW,reading the other reviews of this hospitals ER,i might have tried to go elsewhere, but that was not an option, thanks to a colonoscopy that had gone terribly wrong ,I was bleeding to death. As soon as was bureaucratically possible they had 3 iv's going and were pumping blood and plasma into me,and at 3 am Sunday morning ,they built an emergency Operating room in the ER and Dr. Stein and his GI staff fixed what had gone wrong and saved my life. I stayed for a few days ,as my stats improved to the staffs approval ,and I was very well treated by the Doctors, nurses ,assistants and even the food and cleaning staff.I'm sorry for everyone that felt mistreated by this hospital and it's staff, but in my case ,they flat out saved my life. And treated me very well during the process.

I have had 3 top notch visits to Banner Baywood. Two were scheduled surgeries a few months apart, and one was an emergency room visit a year later. I have not experienced anything at all like some of the other reviews here. I was attended to immediately (even in my emergency room visit) and the care I got was compassionate. All members of the staff responded to my many questions clearly and concisely. I was always treated with kindness and a smile and they were jovial and very personable. Remember when you read reviews, that most people who have great service never take the time to give kudos where they are deserved.

This hospital had me in and out fairly quickly. They took good care of me, listened to me, and didn't judge me. They didn't seem to be in a rush with me, either. The nurse actually found a vein on her second try without ultrasound, although it was in the worst spot ever, at least it worked! Bravo! Only concern I had is that they simply asked for my social, but never asked to see my ID. That seemed a little strange to me. Otherwise, it was a good experience. I got my meds& fluids.

I recently had surgery and subsequent hospitalization at Banner Baywood. I honestly don't understand why the low ratings for this hospital. From the time I arrived for surgery to the point of discharge a few days later everything was top notch. Warm and efficient nurses and staff. My first experience with a Banner Hospital and they were just great. Highly recommend!

Went to banner as a referral from another hospital. From the moment I was checked in, it was clear the staff had no communication skills. Was told I was getting things that were never brought. When notes were reviewed, I had to correct them every time we went over them. Many notes didn't get recorded, like my insulin. I told the nurse I took my morning shot, and she "recorded it" .except 4 hours later, another nurse came and gave my my morning shot again. Then it was pass the buck time. The staff for the most part was good, however, the uppers, floor nurses and doctors, are horrible at communicating, and recording the proper information. I would not recommend this place to anybody. And wow, the jerking around on the bill now. Disputed a couple of the charges, and two that were double charged. They said they would review it and get back to me. Nope. No response. They, however , did resubmit the bill to me with all double charges rolled togeather and listed as one. Nice reviwr banner, way to go. Was even charged for things not provided. They just put a different heading on it and sent the bill to me. Beware. Big charges for no services. Disputes go in reviewed, or at least they'll get reviewed and re named and re-submitted to you.

My husband stayed here 4 days in January 2020. Dirtier than a flea infested motel. Every single morning when I arrived I put on a pair of gloves and cleaned the room and bathroom. Brought my own Disinfectant. I thank God we got him out of there alive.
I know that nurses in general are overworked and I appreciate them, but if you don't love helping sick folks you should find some other profession. We met 3 pleasant/helpful nurses...out of 10.
Fired the first hospital doctor. She refused to listen to my husband's concerns.
If you are gonna get sick...do it somewhere else. I DO NOT recommend this hospital.

My mother is sitting here crying in the ER. Her pain is off the charts. We've been waiting for an hour and a half to be seen. This happens any time we come to This ER. There is a man who has been waiting longer than us, and his face is bleeding... I'm less than impressed, and fund this to be the worst hospital I've ever been to. A true lack of care.

I wish I could give this zero stars because the service here is terrible! We arrived at 10 pm and didn't get checked in until nearly 1:30 am. No one even checked with her. Didn't ask her pain level, we've seen two different people for a total of 5 minutes. HORRIBLE. DO NOT GO TO EMERGENCY ROOM HERE. WORST SERVICE EVER.

Staff is friendly enough but the wait is WAY to long for 1:30 - 4:00 in the morning. There's hardly anybody here and I've been waiting for nearly 3 hours. They need more night staff so they can get through 7 people at a more reasonable rate.

The Outpatient Services is the WORST! I have been trying to get a medical treatment done for over 5 weeks now, but I cannot get the scheduler, Dustin, to give me a call back. I was supposed to have 4 treatments by now, but have only managed to have 1... and I've been waiting almost a week to schedule the next one... but NO RETURN CALL. I have to go through this EVERY TIME I try to schedule and appointment. RIDICULOUS. I'm filing a formal complaint with my insurance company.

My friend came here and I came with her and we had an amazing experience. The ER staff was excellent, we loved them. She got moved to ICU and the staff there was also wonderful. They were attentive and really took great care of her, and even took care of me as I waited with her. Amazing experience.

If I could give it a negative 5 stars I would!!!!! My father in law has been here since Last Saturday, and had to have surgery today, so we brought his grandchildren to see him, and his nurse LANA came in and was very rude, said my kids weren't allowed to be up there. Um they have been there everyday with the door closed and not bothering anyone. Can you say rude......

I went in for a c-section on January 7th. The surgery went well and everyone involved were wonderful. Later that day while recovering I started bleeding and had to be rushed for an emergency hysterectomy. The care that I received was really efficient and quick. They saved my life that day. After being discharged from the icu back to the labor and delivery unit I was treated really well by everyone. Although nurse Maria and the lactation nurse Therressa made my stay memorable and wonderful, all the nurses and doctors were really knowledgeable and friendly and made my stay wonderful. The facility itself was also really nice. Overall I was really pleased.

My girlfriend and I are down another $1200 for literally nothing. The staff is completely incompetent and does not care about you in the slightest. After our doctor gave up on figuring out what was wrong, they referred us to a specialist. Come to find out, this specialist is a chiropractor and has absolutely no relevance to my girlfriend's medical condition. We call the hospital back to ask them what's going on, and they simply tell us to just GET our own personal care physician, and refused to help us. Banner Baywood should purge it's employees and hire ones that actually do their jobs.

Over the past week my daughter has spent time in both labor and delivery as well as the emergency department. Her nurse Nicole was amazing and I think she is truly an asset to this hospital. She is warm and friendly and made my daughters stay more comfortable.

In the emergency department we have mixed feelings Nurse Kim was amazing and always made sure my daughter was taken care of and when she had to be transported to another hospital Kim made sure to explain everything to us and treated us with the kind of caring one usually sees reserved for family. She is another gem in the health care industry and you are blessed to have her.

The whole ER visit was not a good one however, there is another nurse didn't even catch her name because she was just rude and did not possess the bedside manor I would think would be necessary in this line of work. She insinuated that I didn't respect the severity of my daughters situation. Not only did she insult me she also was chewing gum and popping it. It was not okay at all. Sounds like such a minor issue but when you are in there with your daughter who has a possible life threatening issue the last thing you want to hear is your nurse smacking her gum in your ear. The alarms kept going off and although I know they don't always trigger a response from the nurse it would have been nice for her to EXPLAIN the alarm to the mother of the patient.

All in all I am happy because my daughter is still with us and through the dark there were two bright spots in this hospital and I just feel they should be recognized.

I really have absolutely nothing bad to say. My husband got in fast from the emergency room. (emergency room people were great too). We found out he needed to be admitted and from then on everyone was so nice, professional and friendly. Everyone was like a old friend. He was in for 5 days. Everytime any of my kids or myself have gone in we have had the same great service. My husband was also here for a car accident 3 months earlier.

Went in with back issues. Was there for about seven hours. Asked for a pillow and blanket and NEVER got a pillow!!! How hard can it be to have a pillow for your bed! 3-4hrs of being in the room the girl who does the insurance check in went and got me a blanket because my teeth were chattering, but still NO PILLOW Waited 4 hours to be helped to the bathroom. Left hospital throwing up and had to set down in the waiting room do I wouldn't pass out on the floor from pain. They were going to admit me for pain management nut after the ER experience there was no way I would stay there. They NEVER did get my pain under control. I did call to complain of the absolute worst care and they said they would investigate what happened, guess what...... Nothing and CHARGED me for this!!!!!

I was at Banner Gateway (Higley and the 202) and received fast imaging. This location is something all together different. I was told to arrive at 115pm for a 2pm appointment. I arrived at 1230pm fully expecting to execute said appointment on time (not early). Hours and hours went by. I had not eaten per doctors orders and was starving and shaking due to low blood sugar. Mind you my insurance which was accepted perfectly fine and within a normal time frame at Banner Gateway some how confused the staff at this Banner facility. I burned a whole day off that I took due to my PCP stating that thos CT scan was needed STAT. This facility staff must have missed the day of medical school that went over sense of urgency. I have a MENSA level IQ and they talked to me as of I were a child or mentally challenged. By the time I acquired the contrast fluid it was already hours past my scheduled time. If in my line of work I disrespect my clients time I would be fired. Here they must give promotions for burning a patient's time. I can always make more money but time is finite as no one lives forever. Ridiculous!!!

I recently had a terrible experience with Banner B...

I recently had a terrible experience with Banner Baywood that has resulted in an outrageous medical bill. I went in for a stress test, they kept me an hour and a half after my appointment time in admission to receive an authorization code from my insurance company as they told me they had to receive this auth code first so I would not be charged an out of network price. Once they received the authorization code, I was quoted $800 and told to pay 25% that day, so I paid $200 and proceeded with my stress test. 1 month later I received a bill for $11,000 and was told it was out of network. Banner has been unwilling to work with me and has since sent me to collections. Even my doctor's office has reached out on my behalf as they informed me I should've been advised that this facility was out of my network at the time of admission. Both my doctor and Banner assured me that they accepted United Healthcare and not to worry, I was in network. I am beside myself not only with financial burden, but with the lack of customer service and care as a patient. I should have been informed by Banner that day, as they spoke several times with a UHC representative in efforts to obtain an auth code. I would never have moved forward had I know it was out of network. This was 2 days prior to a spinal surgery and the last required test to move forward. Yes, I would've had to reschedule the surgery in order to complete the test at another facility, but would've have done that had I only been told the right information, rather than don't worry, we take UHC, and even quoted and in network cost and paid a portion. Please help, I have been taken advantage of as a patient and a customer. I feel this is predatory practice on patients.

Don t listen to the bad reviews. The ER here is amazing. Everyone I came into contact with was professional, caring, and compassionate. While I was in the waiting room I heard multiple people threatened to write a bad review simply because they had to wait. It s common knowledge that an ER visit takes hours sometimes. Thank you to the ER staff who helped me last night. I appreciate each and everyone of you.
