Love the location ... stay here often and the staff are very nice and helpful.
Some rooms could be modernized but being a serviced apartment I guess in time the owners of each lot will upgrade.

Location location location. Can walk to the center of Byron, the lighthouse along the pathway and no need to drive anywhere from here. Well equipped apartments , air conditioned (also has fans in all rooms) bbq available plus pool and tennis court and underground parking . My only complaint was lack of crockery and cutlery at the apartment we stayed at (no 3) so we could not invite friends over even though we had large front area for entertaining.

We have just left Byron Bay after 8 nights at the Bay Royal. The location is by far the best location in Byron! Directly opposite the beach, a short stroll to the playground and within walking distance to all the cafes and shops in Byron.
The apartment (#8) was modern, spacious and very clean. It had all we required for a comfortable stay with 3 children. We can t wait to return

It's a real shame as the apartments are lovely, the location is great but the management is sub-par, to the point of being rude. We love Byron but for future stays we will be finding other accomodation.

Pros:
Great location, just over the road from the beach and down the road from Byron CBD. Large 2 bed apartment, ideal for a family or group who want space and can dine in and spend evenings inside without feeling cramped.

Cons:
Apartment is aged. Wardrobe doors off runners and hard to open. Toilet seat in main toilet doesn't stay up. Could do with a proper clean, re dust everywhere and mould in bathroom. When you have kids you might need the washing machine, hob and fan (above hob) on: hard luck, that will trip the fuse... (does this need a sparky to look at to improve this)?

Overall: so much potential to be an awesome apartment and somewhere we would come back to. In its current state (and it is a state) we wouldn't come back.
