I have loved this place since I was a child in grade . (of course I won't tell u how old I am now). . I haven't been to the center in years, I just started volunteering in the food pantry &I really enjoy it. Baxter Community Center has centered themselves in our neighborhood to give back to US! They have all kinds of resources if u need with anything. I respect the fact that they do not judge ur struggles. Awesome place!
As a young person I used to go to Baxter's to play basketball in the afternoon because at that time it was the only place that African-Americans could go in Grand Rapids to play basketball. So this place has sentimental values, memories. I like continuing to help as much as I possibly can with donations. Thank you!Baxter.
Grew up here! NO OUTDOOR BASKETBALL COURT anymore! What a shame after so MANY great players honed their skills there! IE JOE TAYLOR

Needed to find a phone number or an email address to contact them about a service that was being provided through them as there were a couple of them participating in it. Their e-mail address to contact them came back invalid.
Great community center, went to shop the Marketplace pantry and was surprised at the quality and freshness of the items I received. Very friendly staff also.
Bring your things here instead of Goodwill. The center helped me through a long stretch of hardships, they give back to our community!
Wonderful Potluck for the Canning Class! Crystal Tunstall Did a fabulous job! The food was phenomenal!
