I engaged Bathtime for our bathroom renovation in Ringwood between October and November 2021. The tradespeople were excellent, and they successfully completed the work before our move-in date, which kept me generally satisfied. However, I am leaving three stars due to some communication and quality control issues. While the supervisor knew his craft, he wasn’t always attentive to instructions. For instance, the spa needed to be installed on a sand base. I noticed this was missing after the spa was placed but before the walls went up. The supervisor initially resisted doing the fix, and I had to contact the manufacturer myself to confirm it was essential; otherwise, it would have been overlooked. I felt I had to act as a second supervisor to ensure things were done right. Additionally, I found a small gouge on the spa’s base, likely from a dropped tile, before the photoshoot. I sent three emails to Bathtime about this but received no response, giving the impression that once the job was done, the client was forgotten. A truly five-star service would include a final walkthrough or check with the owner. While the overall result is good, the lack of proactive communication and attention to detail justifies a lower rating for the price paid.
