This small hotel is within walking distance from main tourist areas, restaurants and shops of Stellenbosch - the second oldest town in South Africa after Cape Town. Within 30 minutes drive from Cape Town International airport and really friendly staff!

This small family type hotel is a small jewel in Stellenbosch. The hotel has a very good atmosphere and is well decorated, the staff is really nice and extremely helpful, the room are clean and comfortable. On top of this, the location of the hotel is simply perfect for Stellenbosch.

MOST AMAZING SHOWER AND BATH, GREAT STAFF, Sadly our reservations were changed from the self catering apartment to a single room.

This is a gem in Stellenbosch. A perfect and fantastic location for a 3 night stay during our honeymoon. The rooms are private, cosy and comfortable to ensure maximum relaxation and comfort whilst everything Stellenbosch has to offer waits beyond the fence. The location is perfect meaning once the car is parked you can walk everywhere. Stellenbosch has some amazing Restaurants and many are a stones throw from the front door of Batavia. The staff will organise wine tours or adventures which a traveller may wish to do. Staff are very friendly and very efficient. Everything is done quick with a smile without you even knowing it is being done. I would love to visit and stay at Batavia again.

Quaint little place in Stellenbosch. Close to restaurants and pubs. Very friendly and helpful staff. Upstairs walk to the rooms is uncovered (not great in rainy weather). Limited TV channels. Good hot breakfast.

This is such a lovely friendly small hotel in a quiet location two minutes walk from Church Street. Secure parking. Beautifully furnished rooms and public areas with antiques. Great breakfast in a dining room from a stylish bygone era. Superb attentive friendly staff.

Matilda is the kindest lady you ll ever meet. The ambience in the hotel is just phenomenal. The decor is beyond beautiful. Would definitely recommend!
