Brought in my humble but much-loved Epi Les Paul after a strap fail left it with a broken headstock. They did a great repair and setup at a fair price. Told me it'd be a month wait, and that estimate was right, almost to the day. Really happy when a local small business is doing fantastic work.

Took in a Gibson SG standard to get a larger cutaway and bevel in order to have more fret access. Unbelievable craftsmanship; paint, pick gaurd and design makes the modification barely perceptible... until you pick it up! It shreds now! Set up is great and locking tuners were installed also!

I ve been playing my lefty Ibanez for the past year and had reached the point where I was fighting my instrument (high action, my fingers were scuba-diving past the third fret). Chris took great care of my humble beginner guitar and made sure it was in the best possible playing shape he saw me playing it afterward and offered to lower the action even further, after I had played it at home and tested for any buzz at no extra cost. Props for the attention to detail, professionalism, and all-around great vibes at Basone Guitars. Music is one of the worst kept secrets for us as adults to play beyond our sandbox years, and shops for making and repairing tools for sounds, or anything else for that matter, should be fun and engaging never pretentious. This guitar store keeps the spirit of the radio alive.

BEWARE!!!! I hate doing this cuz Chris used to be my main tech but after almost a year of excuses I just want my guitars back. I have dropped by the shop multiple times, called and texted him multiple time with no response. I FINALLY got one random phone call at 2 am a few weeks ago where Chris was slurring his words and obviously inebrehated gave me a bunch of excuses with strange stories twisted in. Very unprofessional and I no longer have faith that my guitars are in good hands. Why start a second location when you can't even run your Vancouver location? Super upset man.

You will find a good, honest and knowledgeable luthier here. So kind, friendly and willing to help. I had an issue with one of my instruments and I called for a quote. What I got was a lot of great advice about how I could fix it myself. I made the repairs and only had to wait for the glue to dry before I was playing again. I couldn't be happier. Basone Guitars is the best in town! You won't be disappointed.
