L Working here was like working inside a real-life soap opera, it was like the villain always won and it was very frustrating even though they lied and did not work hard. And you could be a good person work hard and be honest and you were punished for it and lied about it was truly bizarre. They used to have a family of 3 that worked here and their name was Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum or at least they looked like it and they would regularly use the n-word at work.

Poisonous place and staff! They would have me work 1st shift 2nd shift and graveyard all in one 7 day period.They would act like they have no idea what you're talking about when you would say I can't adjust my sleeping schedule that fast several days in a row.

They are horrible people that treat you like garbage they are working Monday through Friday 9 to 5 and could care less that you're never home to see your family working graveyards next day working second shift next day working first shift.

One time I was in Northern California it was 8 at night and they told me I had to be at work to train someone at 8 in the morning or I was fired. I left about 10 at night drove 532 miles I don't think I ever slept and then went to work just so I could train somebody that's how horrible these people are.

Also the manager who shares his name with a popular bank used to switch my hours all the time and I would be scheduled for something but he would call me and say no this is your schedule so then dispatch would have me scheduled for something that I would never show up for because the bank name guy would never tell them that he changed it. And they would tell me don't worry it won't go in your file that you were late but I would still get written up because I was late or no-call no-show to dispatch. The dispatch was so evil they knew that the manager changed my hours and he would still write me up because he got off of on the power of it.

There's times I would save accounts I never got so much as a thank you let alone a $10 bonus around Christmas or anything. My family is working Reno Valley School District since the early 80s. So many extra accounts they got there because of me special weekend special events were because of me I never got a thank you or anything out of it.

They would have people working without Guard Cards just a lot of bad stuff.

I was for some reason always treated more harshly than other people I'm not the type of person to brag about myself or blow my own horn but the problem is at junk companies like this if you don't you never get recognition.

Also when I worked here it was so frustrating they would have older people in the office that know nothing about computers and tasks that would take someone normal 20 minutes would take them an hour or more and they got paid better than me get free lunches had better hours than me it was very frustrating.

One of the managers was known to do drugs and one time he accused me of doing drugs and I was so angry I told him let's take a drug test and things were never the same between us after that obviously.

He was so high he would tell me something 4 times over the course of a couple days cuz he would keep forgetting he was telling me and he was paranoid just like drug addicts are it was really weird frustrating.

If you're reading this and your a potential client you could get lucky and get one of the decent guards they have or you could get someone who is literally on crack. Good luck!

I really wish that I didn t have to give this company one star because they don t deserve even that much. This company lies. They make you think you won t travel far then you end up driving to places not worth the gas money.

They overwork you and talk to you like you re incompetent and dumb. They have no respect for their guards. Dispatch falls asleep on the job and the guards do too. The guards will leave their posts when they re not suppose to. The guards will also go to work smelling like weed and liquor.

This company is so unprofessional and Diana acts like a huge child with a filthy mouth when she doesn t get her way. I do not know how they stay in business.

This was one of the WORST companies I ve ever worked for the scheduler is probably the worst person here she left me a voicemail talking to me like I was incompetent NOT understanding my position NOT only did she do that but I asked for more hours 2 weeks in advance before I quit, security always have posts available. When I was unable to show for my shift because the funding were there she decided then to put an ultimatum on the table. Basically if I don t show up for my shift I won t get the extra hours. Well give you gave me good hours in the first place instead of running on your time I would be able to. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANYONE THE PAY ISNT GOOD ENOUGH FOR WHAT YOU HAVE TO ENDURE.

This was one of the worst companies I ve ever had the misfortune of working with. Literally replaced me from a post because I wasn t tall like most guards which seem pretty damn discriminating.

Would give negitave stars worst security company I worked for. I was waiting from them to find me a site and out of nowhere they sent me a letter to let me know I was let go no phone call or nothing. Wouldn't get their service or work for them stay away and low pay with no restroom or lunch break.

I work for Barry security just as Covid was first starting I was let go of my bar job went to Barry s and was hired they help me at the smart and final and at the end of the month they fired everybody that was in that hiring group stating we were hired temporarily when we weren t I specifically asked doing the group orientation were we being hired on as permanent because They were making us sigh a temporary employment and slip we were reassured that everybody in the company had to sign this document but you are being hired on as full-time which was a lie at the end of the month everyone was fired I do not recommend this company to anyone

We contracted Barry s Security for a private event after asking around. A friend referred them, but we were hesitant to use them after reading their reviews. We trusted our friend s better judgment and gave them a call. From the first interaction with the Sales rep, to the last interaction with the Security Guard, everything was seamless and better than anticipated. I would definitely recommend reading past the reviews and giving this company a call!

Barry's Security hires guards and basically uses them as rovers, meaning you can be placed at one location and then somewhere completely different the next day or week, never constant.
Had I known that before I applied I wouldn't have bothered. I definitely wouldn't recommend.
Also, I have a second job and while working for this company they would always try to get me to come in at all kinds of hours even when I was very specific with what days and hours I could work.
To whoever is reading these reviews try to find something better.

Very unprofessional they don't give you no days they only give you 11 an hour find another job they're not worth it
