An officer paid for my pizza the other day,real nice guy!

Officer Patrick helped me with my broken Nissan Altima. Sweetest guy, stayed and drove me home. The cops in this town are usually the nice and I ve never had a issue with them. Can only say that about cops down here. Only good interactions down here.

Officers Halliday was very sincere and concerned about my issue. Thanks for being there in my time of need.

Great Police department always willing to go above and beyond regardless of race, color, creed, or religious affiliation.

A big thank you to the Town of Barnegat NJ Police Department! I own a sports car that my son drives also. He went to the "Jersey Shore" for the first time this weekend to visit his girlfriend and her family while they vacationed there. On the first night, when he was driving her car into town with her to see the "Jersey Shore" for the first time, they were pulled over for having a commercial license plate on an "unmarked" vehicle. I have no idea what that is but her father owns a business. The second night, when he was driving my sports car to get pizza with her, they were pulled over again because the officer said my son looked in his rear view mirror when the police car got up close on his tail. He was then told to get out of the car, questioned about an open soda can in the car, interrogated about what he might have in the car or might have done, the police officer threatening to bring over the canine to the car. My son had not been speeding, not been drinking, had nothing in the car except leftover pizza, a soda and his girlfriend.

My first reaction was that the police officers should be accused of profiling and harassment. But we have multiple police officers and government workers in our family so I tend to side with law enforcement. So my only conclusion can be that the "Jersey Shore" is a very high crime area full of no-gooders and that our family should avoid it.

Pretty average department. Not great not terrible, just needs to improve on legal and civic knowledge as it's very important for our police to be properly educated.
