Absolutely loved The Molly House! Had a fab night, with great freshly cooked tasty tapas - can honestly say it's the best I've ever had. Cosy, friendly atmosphere; friendly efficient staff; quick service. What more could you want?! Small but perfect for get togethers or after work drinks and food. Will definitely make it my go to place for quick but delish food and after work Friday night drinks.

Dog friendly. Nice bar just off of Canal Street, outdoor seating out the front and a good few seats indoors. Good selection of drinks too.

Finally a gay PUB for people who like a pint of good beer and dont want to suffer horrible gay anthems, wipe clean furnishings and crappy beer that you get in the rest of the village. Has a lot of character and the music is always mellow and at an appropriate level that you can actually hear the person sat next to you talk (yes im getting old!). the clientiele swing more toward the beary and older end of the gay spectrum. Can get a bit cramped at certain times of the evening. Great smoking balcony. Food a bit pricey for my slender budget but whenever ive treated myself its always been very tasty with a Spanish tapas theme.

Great place but we went here on a friFri night, it was quite, the music was sort of Cuban slow smoochy stuff enough to send me to sleep, price of the drinks reasonable for the village however for a Friday night at least play music that doesn't send you snoozing and understand what they are singing about, felt like I was on a really naf llast minute dot com holiday to Spain with over 90's club

Quaint little pub tucked away just off the main area of Canal Street. Can be a bit of a wait at the bars if large groups enter on nights with little staff but the atmosphere is enjoyable. Ideal place for a post work drink.

One of the best, if not the best place, to eat in the village. The tapas here is fantastic as are the other menu courses. Good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Staff are friendly and attentive even at the busiest of times. Social distancing measures are spot on, as is the cleaning of tables once customers have departed. Will be back again soon

My favourite bar in the city centre, much quieter than most places in the gay village. Good selection of beer, a choice of the downstairs space which is unfussy and the upstairs bar which is plusher. Lovely staff and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The place is discussing the sofas broken everything looks dirty we went there for cocktails because on the website tey said they have a choice of cocktails but it turns out they don't do cocktails for ages now the only good nice thing about the place is the service

I am a regular at the Molly House. .but the staff are amazing....even if it's quiet, there's someone to have a chat with.....the wine is also very good and reasonably priced.....this place is an asset in an aging gay scene..

Molly house is a decent place to chill and have a drink. Watch out for the surly barmaid though, there is only one and everyone else is really nice. The cakes are good, as are the burgers. For tapas, I'd pick a real Spanish restaurant instead of here. Pro tip, go to the upstairs bar for a better atmosphere.

very nice for a quiet drink before a big night out or just before going home :) they have a small upstairs terrace that is nice for a drink too. They do a great selection of food and have a massive vegan menu. Sadly last time I went their card machine was broken and had been for a week! Disappointed I had to walk 15mins to the ATM and back.

This place is kind of special. The food is lovely, the atmosphere, the drinks selection. Quiet enough to chat and that means a lot in the heart of the city late at night. Also, the second floor I discovered recently is gorgeous. Definitely a place to go and enjoy.

A couple of smallish bars and toilet facilities situated up two flights of steep stairs means this is not and accessible venue, but for the fit and able bodied there's a good selection of drinks and basic bar food .

Nice cosy pub, good food, prices are average for city centre. Quite small and not many seats upstairs so you may have to stand on busier days. Downstairs has more seating/tables - more of a dining area and is brighter than upstairs but you can sit here for just drinks too. Been a few times and no complaints apart from not enough seats.
