Never have been here but this is one of the production locations for the 1999 movie the thirteenth floor starring Craig Bierko, Gretchen Mol, and Vincent D'Onofrio. This area has buildings built prior to 1937.
Localised in DTLA AT corner 5th st and main st, if somebody will planning to visit Los Angeles this hotel is perfect option, just on heart downtown, only 4 blocks from city hall, 6 blocks from Dysney concerts hall, same far to China town and 6 to little Tokio is the Japanis town and between is El Pueblo o Placita Olvera the place it was funded this city.

Only problem is the limited length of stay for new tenants. Limited to 8-10 days. Even though there are current tenants that have been tenants from 2-3 years. Also there isno WiFi available, not even for a fee. Other than that I was very satisfied with my stay and will be returning very soon.

I had stayed here once with a friend who was stranded because her car got towed. There's an eerie feel to this place the moment you walk in. But there's so much room for potential if under different management. The room we got was semi decent, they must not have changed the furniture since the 60's! It's an interesting experience but not one I'd be inclined to do if given the opportunity. The guy at the front desk was a big help, so that's why I gave 3 's.

This hotel picks an chooses there own guest! A week ago the fat guy that works at the front desk was talking saying there not taking any new guest! And everyone that stays at this hotel is paying rent? I dunno if it's true or not but that's what this hotel had said! They also have bedbugs infestations in several rooms! They claim to charge $60 -$80 per night! Other people say no it's a lie! That they only charge $30 to $40 per night .. This is NOT a haunted hotel for your information.... my opinion los angeles should rebuild this whole sector & kick out these money hungry slumlords......
It's great for a night or two maybe a week if you're a couple or single person, children would have to be supervised at all times!
Front desk people are friendly. It would be nice to sit and enjoy the front view but the seating area is much to be lacking.
For being the downtown area, the prices are accommodating depending on the room size. Some rooms have a great view; you just might see a famous actor or actress depending if they are filming or not and that's a plus!
You don't see hotels built like these anymore, the architecture is amazing and the moldings are becoming extinct. Enjoy your stay have a great time in this historical hotel.
