This building which now houses KFC was once the Bank of NSW and a beautiful part of a stunning streetscape between George and Bathurst Street. The building was commissioned to be built in 1894 and completed in 1895 as a three levels Commercial Romanesque Revival style building. This had gone through transformation until the early 90s when it was refurbished for the opening of KFC with new mezzanine floor and staircase access still seen today whenever I visited this particular KFC. Another spectacular addition to the significance of retaining heritage buildings paying homage to how far this city has evolved. Worth exploring if you ever walk past here or even have meals in this KFC restaurant.
