Only tried the Mexican. No flavor in anything but the pico.
This place needs a larger sign that says "Home of the Carne Asada Fries" because, yes everything I've tried is good, but the fries were damn delicious. Should have gone for the large.
Sorry no photos, I ated-it.
Poor food. Tastless. Messy. Burnt. My enchilada was so dry, corn tortilla taco fell apart right when I picked it up. Save your money.
I love this place. The owners are extremely helpful and understand the need for special requests due to food allergies.
Ahmed is a great guy, amazing customer service. I felt welcomed and the food was just as amazing. I will be back again and again. Thank you very much!
Gave this place a second try after a really bad first impression, and nothing seems to be different. They use Mission tortillas and hard canned beans, both of which you can get from the Safeway next door, and then ask for $9.50 for a half-warm tasteless burrito you can get anywhere else for at least 2-3 dollars less.
FYI this place is known on postmates as Bandito Taco
Yummy Persian food at a good price, with friendly and quick service. We'll be back.
Picked up food for a clinic and they were so nice and super speedy! Everyone loved their food!
The big daddy gyro is so yummy. The people are so nice, oh and grab a couple of tacos, they do not disappoint.
I've eaten at bandito since i was a kid. unfortunately ever sense they moved from their previous location and added the persian food the quality has gone way down. It's never been amazing but it seems especially bad. I'd rather go to safeway next door and buy my own stuff and make my own tacos, and i'm not even that good of a cook. Their one shining light is the homemade salsa. They should consider closing down and making salsa full-time
This is my favorite local spot it's been around as long as I have and the food while nothing special does not disappoint. There Sala is the best around.
There is a reason Bandito Taco has been around for 30 years, the food is good! Reasonably priced, friendly quick service. In a clean, safe restaurant . They also offer a Persian menu consisting of traditional Persian cuisine, which I am not too familiar with but I can say the gyro I had once was delicious. They offer a daily specials, with Tuesday being Buy 1 get 1 free tacos
I come here for the living and hilarious staff. They make feel good food and I m never unhappy with what I order. I love Mexican food and Portland has so much to offer, but the family that works here is hard to beat. Great service. Great people. Yummy food. Can t wait for my next visit.
Not a bad little place thought it was about average I've had better and I have had worse not bad for what it is though. The food I ordered was kinda bland but I will give it another shot in the future .
So I got soft tacos with corn tortillas, chicken and beef and a side of rice. The cooks at Bandito taco have NO concept of flavor everything tastes as if it was boiled. This food is not Mexican whatsoever, instead of cilantro they have lettuce, instead of asada they have ground beef. The rice was the absolute worst rice I've had in my life. I don't think this food will make you sick, but it won't make you satisfied. Thank God I came on the BOGO Taco Tuesday. To the owners of Bandito Taco there's a new spice called salt and you should try it. On the bright side the green sauce is passable although this is not enough to be a saving grace.
Always a pleasure to dine here. Very friendly staff and great dining experience. I highly recommend it. Going to watch the super bowl today!
Love this locally owned, comfortable and interesting place. Quality, tasty food, fast service and reasonably priced.
Threw away 3 tacos. The Pork and beef tacos need better seasonings or more. We paid around 60 dollars for flavorless street tacos. I had only one coworker finish his tacos. The limited selection and quality of the food need to be upgraded.
Love this place! Always fresh ingredients and their fresh made salsa is the best!
I work at the Lake Grove barber shop in Lake Oswego and come all the way across town just to have their food. there's nothing like it on the west side.
Great food and wonderful people! Get in there and get yourself a taco!
Sun bowl is best with the marinated chicken. Sooooo good!!!! Great food, friendly service, convenient location!
Go there on Tuesdays and sundays. You won't be sorry
Staff was very friendly. However their food was extremely aweful. The meat taste like meat biproduct. We had the nachos, Mexican pizza, and tacos. Horrible. I do not recommend eating here. Also they touch your food with their bare hands. I will never eat their food again and honestly their prices for the quality I would rather enjoy muchos gracias.
Great place. Must have salsa and the ultimate burrito is dynamite!
First time there enjoyed it the soup was great amazing along with their chicken flavored
The best food I had in my life no joke I highly recommend coming here you won t regret it!
I love this place. Great food, even better prices, and you get to support a local business instead of a giant corporation. Will probably keep eating here even if I move out of the area.
Come on Sunday for the best tacos deal you've ever had. Salsa is amazing.
Amazingly good food, great deals, and awesome service! I love this place!
Wonderful food great price. Will definitely come back again.
Over a decade of going here and the food and service are still absolutely amazing! Huge portions, great tasting! And the gyros are spot on as well!
Fresh flavorful food prepared quickly. Right quantity. Inexpensive.
Very good food, good prices, and friendly service. Bandito Taco has been a favorite restaurant for a long time.
This is the worst Mexican food I ve ever had. Me and my family came here hoping to get some delicious authentic Mexican food instead we got room temperature old food served to us on Dixie paper plates. They do not wear gloves and follow proper sanitary policies. I am beyond shocked this restaurant has been open for 30 years. I got the steak tacos which consisted of old steak And old corn tortillas my girlfriend got a $12 combo with a tamale and taco with a side of beans and rice the meat was old and microwaved and the beans and rice were bland and canned. I even asked the lady for a refund for my girlfriend s food because it was just unacceptable to sell to us and she made a big deal about it and told us that she gave us our food 30 minutes ago accusing us of just wanting our money back even though we clearly did not eat any of it I even paid for my tacos even though I also wanted those refunded but I did not want to deal with a rude lady and an angry manager. And on top of everything they have horrible bland guacamole I had to put salt in it to even eat it. This place is a disgrace to Mexican food your better off going to Taco Bell.
Torn. The Mexican food is awesome 4+ star, the Persian food is a maybe 2- star. The Mexican food, the salsa everything made on that end is to die for. Better than most restaurants. An absolute favorite and great portions. The salsa is fresh, very flaverful and chunky. The chile relleno is amazing, great nachos and killer burritos. Definitely have to go, ignore the other side.
What s left of the best restaurant #salsa you could find this side of the 185 in Oregon. Food is yummy, staff so friendly and Taco Tuesday!
Amazing food! Been coming to Sunday Crunch for over 20 years!
Amazing service & quality food. Love the diverse menu. Great deals on Tuesdays and Sundays for tacos!
Such a friendly atmosphere. I was supposed they had both anauthentic Mexican Menu and an authentic Persian menu as well. Delicious on both sides. And very personable service. Thanks for the wonderful lunch:)
Delicious burritos and Persian eggplant, and perfectly seasoned French fries. Friendly family-style service with a smile. Loved it .
This place is my favorite place to go to I work right next door and love it I come for lunch before I work and they are amazing they take care of me well and got me always... next time I am going to try the Persian food can t wait!
Love this place! I've been coming here since 98' . I can eat the salsa by the spoonful it's so good
Best place around for mexican food! Family owned and a local staple for the last 25+ year. Friendly staff and great food. Now with some of their family's Persian food specialties
Sunday crunch tacos are a great deal and super tasty. This restaurant is extremely clean and they use quality ingredients. Excellent!
Great food and even better people who own/work here! Nice environment for the family and even basketball fans.
We love going to Bandito's. Food is great and the service is amazing! If feels like family!!
We got food here to go and it was really good! Very friendly staff and the salsa is particularly amazing! My wife and I shared their large burrito with a large chips and salsa and it was definitely enough food. I'm going to have to go back and buy another pint of salsa the next time I'm in the area!
One of the best taco shops with a major twist. The story about the owner and the gal working their so friendly. All I can say is make sure u make a pit stop on one of the great deal days like tue buy one get one taco or 5$ burrito Thursday and dont forget Sunday 69cent taco church day. A price anyone can afford. Plus all awesome dining scores and real baklava
Very good place, really clean, excellent customer service and the Persian food was so good, I'm definitely going to come back.
If you are Mexican or are used to real Mexican food, don t eat here. You will likely be disappointed by the half warm, flavorless burrito or authentic tacos. The Gyros are also underwhelming. Only plus side is the thick cut fries and they have a decent green salsa. We will not be eating here again and even thought about asking for a refund.
I stopped by for Ash E reshta, it was amazing. Better then any other Persian restaurant in oregon!
!!
An ok place, sauces are AMAZING, but the rice and beans are bagged and canned. The burritos, although big, are room temp and with taco Bell meat. Only difference is the guacamole comes with the burrito. Hoping a bit more for a 29 year restaurant but disappointed. Hoping Ahmed improves on the quality.seems like a nice guy.
Place sucks they microwave all of their food if your not happy with your food they dont care one bit. The girls behind the counter are Dirty they dont wear gloves and touch money
Easily became my new favorite taco place... $0.59 on sundays? Please, more!! Super cheap and incredibly good. Taco shells were a bit more kid sized than expected, but given the price and how good they were, I'll easily order and extra or two
This is a gem. They somehow are both a great Mexican sit-down place with tons of options, AND a Persian middle-eastern style restaurant. They have decorative elements you'd expect from both. No weird fusion stuff, just two full menus.
The food is great and the owner and his staff are some of the friendliest people you will find anywhere. It's no wonder he's kept the place running over 20 years.
Resturant is half Mexican and half Persian. This time, I had their lamb soup. The flavor was deep, rich and slightly spicy. I've love everything I've had rhere.
The service was excellent - no issues! After going twice, and with friends, we found the food was the weak point as it was just alright. Well priced but not that good.
Having just moved from Los Angeles I was looking forward to some Mexican food. The place smelled great and they had a banner up that said they'd been open for 18 years. It seemed so promising. Maybe I was there on a bad day. The ground beef had been under a heat lamp for way too long and the Spanish rice was low on salsa. It was just white rice with the teensiest amount of pink added - no flavor at all. I see the other reviews are good but I will never return.
We ordered tacos and a gyro and dolmas and baklava. The baklava was devine, the Gyro was the best I've had in Oregon, the taco was excellent and the possibly the best dolmas I've had to date, just the right amount of olive oil! I highly recommend
Great atmosphere..greayt drinks..finger licking tacos..my friend from Belize highly recommend this place!!!
Really good fresh food. Love the tacos and burritos. Salsa is made fresh. Great ice tea too.
Bandito Taco is located in Cedar Mill on Cornell Road (across from Sunset High School). This locally
owned and operated gem opened in 1990, and has been serving up a large selection of healthy affordable Mexican food choices ever since.
It's not surprising that people love this place. The restaurant is clean and the menu is plentiful. The
food is fresh, tasty and fits any budget! You will also find vegetarian and always healthy-eating options.
Fresh ingredients, huge menu, friendly and helpful restaurant owners and wait staff, quick service and
chunky-spicy delicious homemade salsa makes Bandito Taco a great choice for lunch or dinner!
Don't miss their ongoing Sunday Crunch special, when you can order their regular tacos for just $.59!
REMEMBER:
Bandito Taco can cater your next staff meeting, presentation, school event or family gathering.
Serving Healthy Mexican food to Portland, Beaverton and Hillsboro for more than 20 years
The worse Mexican food in Portland, can't even call it Mexican food, they use mission tortillas and canned beens. The burrito was the size of a 50cent microwavable burrito from safe way, Which after eating would rather have. My recommendation is for them to shut down.
I thought it was good! i'll probably come again.. the meat was pretty bland, so not a whole ton of flavor.. if any. but everything was really fresh! (mexican food)
This place is incredible. Fresh, delicious food, fairly fast. The owner is amazing! Friendly and takes the time to get to know his customers. You won't be disappointed!
I am going to give a fair review.
The atmosphere is an interesting amalgamation of Mexican and Persian. Radio is played on low, and a TV if you stop in for lunch. The menu is quite expansive, both Persian and Mexican cuisine food available. The customer service is fantastic, interpersonal and witty, plus they won't let you get thirsty or wait for long. Restaurant is very clean. The food is mediocre. The meat in the Mexican food is tasty but dry. Everything needs salt, (coming from an ex navy sailor) who hates salt. Another big thing I noticed was employees don't wear gloves when preparing your food. They just touch it by hand and that always bothers me. Even subway wears gloves, buy some for your employees. The food wasn't bad. It just wasn't memorable by any means. Someone compared it to Taco Bell, which is a terrible comparison. It's great if you need something on the way home and are not willing to cook, but the food here will not be winning any awards, that's for sure.
3 stars.
Pretty good food, but for the price, I've found better. We had hard and soft tacos and both were more of an American take - not super authentic which is my personal preference for this type of food. We didn't try anything off the Persian side of the menu.
My FAVORITE neighborhood restaurant. This restaurant couldn t be closer to my heart. The staff are so incredibly nice (and equally funny), plus their food is delicious. I ve been going my whole life and plan on continuing that tradition. We go as often as we can and it s an after soccer practice necessity. If 10 stars were a thing I d give it to them. Love their salsa and anything you get there will be great.
