Wish I could give them a zero as well. Never followed up on helping me cancel my current processor. Used them 3 months and wanted to go back to my current processor because they gave me a better rate and got slapped with the early termination fee. Why do I have to pay one when North American Bancard never paid my current processor theirs because they never cancelled my account. Ugh so frustrating. Now I am stuck with them for 36 months. Can't wait till it's over.

These guys are crooks and scammers. You close your account and they demand their old outdated junk back that you used years ago. Luckily I kept it because these scammers said the thing costs 900.00 dollars and it's an obsolete unit. I actually never used the terminal. They said it was obsolete after they shipped it to me. Never requested it back until now .
Shame on this place for these business tactics. I regret the 18 years I had these bunch of bandits. Never again and new or old merchants thinking of using this place BEWARE!!!! Don't do it.

Beware of this company. They are dishonest and deceitful. We have done business with different merchants, and this is the only one we would never even consider again. They interrupt you in the middle of conversation, overpower you, and are disrespectful. Save yourself time, and hassle, and look at a different processor. Google will show you several people with experience like this.

Big time scammers
When I open the account they said there s no any additional charges or hidden charges but from second month they started to take money out of my account had to cancel the bank account and close the account with them then they said I owe them $1500 to close the account it s a lie then negotiate the price and still paid 500 and then returned the equipment,six month later getting an email saying i owe them another 700 something but I m glad I had the tracking number so I proved it then they waved off.if not they would made me to pay that too.now I got a letter saying my tax information is incorrect after 2 years of account open,they saying they need to do backup withholding will begin.

Stay away not recommended at all.

As all the reviews here state, this company is awful. Had problems and returned my terminal after a month. 10 months later I get collections calling me stating I owe 109. They said I did not return the terminal within 10 days. The gu on the phone when I returned it said I had longer than that, but either way I DID RETURN IT as soon as they sent me the box. Weird that they waited almost a year till finding my proof would be more difficult. Stay away!

We had this service for about 3 years. These are the biggest theives and fraudsters in the banking industry. They have the audacity to make multiple unauthorized charges on your account. At one point they froze $10,000 of my working capital for absolutely no reason for over two weeks. After you cancel they then try to steal thousands of dollars from your account when you are not looking. They should be arrested for their crimes. Run as fast as you can.

Sekure merchants headhunted me and ran an account analysis and offered me this company. Said they could offer faster processing times and save me $20 to $25 a month. Sounded good.

After 4 months I was spending over 5% of gross revenue on processing fees. On top of that, I was still getting charged fees when our business was shut down for 3 months from Covid-19. I called and they said they would waive fees.... they didnt. I canceled and had to pay $700 to break contract that they didnt even uphold on their end "to save me money" and provide better service. 6 months using them and it cost me almost $2,000 more than if I would have just stayed with my old company.

Stay away!!!!

MID2115842 TMS# 10885192 8 years i've been with this service and never a problem that took this long. 10 days an no analyst has looked at my bank statements yet, i continue to get the same excuse everyday i call for an update, on 11/13, 11/14 and 11/15. I was told on 11/14 an even assured i would have an update on 11/15. still nothing just the same excuses i cannot be in business with a company that continues to do this. i will post this complaint daily on every social media page, review site, blog, news, bbb, anything until i receive a phone call, an apology and my funds, I will not process another payment with you folks. -T. Beware...Absolute worst Merchant Services Company. Beware...terrible customer service, constant software issues. Rates start out low but increase over time. Better to pay a higher rate with a major bank than deal with the 8th placed processer. Reason why this company is low on the totem pole of merchant service providers.
Very ugly experience with them the last two years. The independent commissioned based agent is a super efficient good guy but works for a lame company. He deserves better and so do all of us. You will notice if you read other reviews that the response from the company to negative posts is a computer generated response with basically the same response. Local banks, familiar faces goes along way in terms with good customer service. Not so with this outfit. Beware...

WARNING. I received notice of fraud against me for the use of stolen credit card charges and I do not even use this company for merchant services.
HOWEVER, I am now forced to have to defend myself because North American Bank Card apparently allows for online applications AND the setup of a merchant service account without the type of verification they are asking me to provide to prove that I did not set up services.
FUNNY how me the victim is asked to send copies of my drivers license and social security number documentation and my personal address.
Want my shirt and jeans size also. No Way.
You have got to be kidding me.

Do not use this company!!!
They apparently gave us an account that we didn't know about and never used.
This account was was apparently created in 2017.
Fast forward to October of 2020. We find emails in an old unused personal email saying owed them $674 dollars. There after we tracked them down and found more emails that started in May of 2020.
The balance had also gone up from $167 to $674 dollars do to not paying.
For starters this email isn't are business email that they had been reaching out too.
What kind of customer service is this?
No phone calls nothing only an email to an old email wow. Called customer service to try to resolve however they where only wanting to argue there point that it had been activated in 2017 ?
That they had also talked to someone that said they never received funds for purchase interesting hmmm.So what happened is we closed the account do to not receiving are funds!!!
So now we owe them money 3 years later? I thank not!!!
Don't use this company bad service all around!!!!!

I recently went on line and noticed a charge from a Global Payments group. After some digging I was able to find a number for them and contacted them. It turns out the are the payment processor for this company for which I never signed up for. The have been charging me for over a year now and in different amounts. I have been on hold for an hour now and no one has picked up. From their reviews they are a shame. If there is apending lawsuit against this company, please contact me so I may join it.

Their system double-billed me without having those overcharges show up on the account of the merchant involved. So the merchant disputed my claims of the overcharge, since NA Bancard had never fessed up. NA BanCard did accept the double payment, without passing the extra money along to the client account holder. So, again, the merchant had no indication a mistake had been made. NA BanCard was just going to keep all those extra $$ for themselves, it appears. Took me hours of complaining to the merchant before they finally got NA Bancard to admit to the double-billing and agree to refund the money. Sounds criminal to me.

After being with them for 2 years I found a less expensive company to process my credit cards, I called in for a cancellation request but had to leave a message to be called back. after the 3rd message in 3 months and being billed for non-use I put a stop payment on my account hoping that would get their attention. It did not. 1 year later after they mailed me an invoice for 79.92 stating it was due I decided to call and put an end to this and they wanted over $900. I settled for less since the cost of a chapter 13 would be more to just list them as the only debtor. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. CAVEAT EMPTOR (let the buyer beware) DO NOT USE THEM AND PUT COMPANIES LIKE THIS OUT OF BUSINESS.

We started with this company September of 2016 and we have been disappointed almost from the beginning. I have had to leave several messages with our first rep before a phone call was returned. A new rep was assigned to us without us being notified and it took several phone calls to find out who our new rep was. She also didn't return phone calls without several messages being left by us. Their statements are about 8 to 9 pages long and very hard to understand. Even our rep needed help to explain it to us. We have chosen to go elsewhere for our services. When I called to cancel with them, our rep didn't call us back. So after trying again to leave her a message we spoke to someone else. The person we talked to (I didn't right down the person's name that I spoke to) didn't follow through. I tried our rep again last week, and again no return call. I did speak to a young lady that did inform us we still had the same rep. She put me in contact with a relationship manager to cancel our service with them. Through him, I have found out that the service fees we were charged will not be reimbursed AND we will be charged a termination fee. The sales account manager that called us last year, informed us there were no termination fees. The Contract doesn't specify any termination fee. You have to read the 14 page agreement. If you chose to use this company, I would recommend that on the contract itself, you make sure they put "NO TERMINATION FEES" before you sign. I hope you get a rep that will call you back immediately, not days later.

This is the worst merchant company to feal with. When the want you to sign up they call you every 1/2 hr. I signed up and decieded not to use their services. I cancelled my account 1 day after signing up. A moth later i got a bill for &175.00. They keep calling and adding a bill. Now up to $475.00 . They are rip off company . They refuse to hear me that my account is closed and canceled. If you want to be aggravated call them. WORST COMPANY. Writing to bbb also .

one of the worse rip off company i ever seen.We had merchant account with this company for more than 3 years. They started to over charge, more than 3 times almost 9.8%, also they have the worse and rude customer services i have ever experienced. We called customer service to cancel our merchant account and the female representative started to question about my race and nationality. She asked racist questions and i felt uncomfortable so i requested her authorization to record our conversation, then she started to argue about merchant device which the rep sold to me used for $200 from their company and we paid for it the first day he install it. Now she told me if we don't return the device to them, they will charge us $895 for the used device which we have already paid and bought from them at the beginning of our contract. At this point i asked her to connect me with a manager, she refused and rapidly she disconnected our phone call.

We have contacted them 6 times and each time they lie to us saying the deposits will be in our account within 24-48 hours. I would not recommend using them as your card processor!!!!

Whatever you do, do not work with North American Bancard. If you are a business and are setting up credit card processing, ask your processor if North American Bancard provides equipment. If they are the provider, run away as fast as you can. We closed a business a year ago. We returned the equipment within the timeline required. We kept the tracking number for six months but, having heard nothing from them, we cleaned out our files (big mistake). A year after the business was closed, we received a call from a collection agency stating that North American Bancard had never received our equipment. So, rather than sending an invoice or notice 60 or 90 days after reportedly not receiving the equipment, they waited a year and sent a complaint to a collection agency without ever contacting us. The agent told me this is the way they always do business - no contact with client and then direct report to collection agency (!). I was also told that the warehouse sometimes does not enter information that equipment has been received so you get reported to a collection agent. you get the picture. Run away.

Horrible customer service. NA Bancard bought Total Merchant Services, who I had been loyal to for 14 years. Now, like all huge corporations like Comcast and others, no one takes care of your problem and passes responsibility on to someone else. They sent me a new machine to satisfy their latest software upgrade, and it's been nothing but problems. 15 phones calls later and my machine still can't batch out. They currently have $4300 of MY MONEY being held hostage by their disfunctional system that can't deposit it into my bank after they have completely screwed up the parameters in it. And when you call, all the techs fail to fix your problem again, and fail to send you a machine--and blame it on the dial up connection. It's total B.S.--I have dial up at my other shop and that machine, which is older, functions fine. Then you always get an automated e-mail from the after all your phone calls, which tells you your problem has been fixed. YOU DID NOTHING!!!! I'm fixing the problem myself Monday---YOU'RE FIRED NORTH AMERICAN BANCARD!!!!!!

I have ever spoken with at this company has been the rudest I have ever dealt with. Be careful when signing up with EPX. When you give them access to your accounts, they'll help themselves.

April 2019 - We called the representative that signed us up and trained us on the equipment, to cancel our account. She told us that they would cancel the account and get a box sent to us to send our machine back.

September 2019 - Never received the box and notice we've been charged $304.50 in charges for May-September. Called the rep. again. They said, "Oh they didn't cancel it? I'll get the charges reversed and get a box sent over to you".

November 2019 - No more charges are coming out, but notice I still haven't received the $304.50 back. I call my rep. I leave voicemails, texts, and e-mails. No response. I call customer service. They tell me I need to go after my rep. since they're the ones that promised me a charge back.

December 2019 - Still can't get a hold of our rep.

January 2020 - We see a charge for $895 from EPX on Jan. 2nd. I call customer support. They inform me that it's for the equipment charge since I never returned the credit card machine. I explained that I was still waiting for the return box. The customer service rep. then informed me that they do not send out return boxes and that I should have received an e-mail explaining that I had 10 days to return my equipment, and that there is no flexibility on this rule. We looked back through our inbox and spam and show no such e-mail (we don't delete anything!). The customer service rep. now tells me that I need to go after the local rep. who promised the return box. This is the same rep. who EPX trusted to train us on the system, sign their agreements, and cancel our account for us. That same person incorrectly informed me on how to return the machine.

EPX is more worried about keeping the $895 than they are about their integrity and reputation.

I also spoke to another local business owner who initially recommended EPX to us. I asked if she still had an account with them. She told me no, but that she was still waiting for a return box for her machine. I asked her who told her she would receive a return box? She named the same rep. I told her she better check her account for an $895 charge. She'll be calling EPX soon.

We've used NA Bancard for a long and perilous time. At its best, the experience has been fairly bad but not crazy bad to go thru the hassle of switching to another provided. This has recently sled into "Terrible" and "You cannot be serious" territory so we are raising a (middle) finger to show them the number 1 sign. Too much to put into a review, there are plenty other people here who described pretty much the same situations we went thru but, if I were to summarize this company in a few words, I'd choose: Obscure, Dishonest and Horrendous when it comes to customer service. We're taking our business someplace else and you should do the same.

Absolute Nightmare!
I have called to cancel this service multiple times in for a business I no longer have.
They would not cancel because I did't sign a cancellation paper. They did not send me this paper. Finally today (years later) I realized that my old business account was over drawn and they were still charging me.
When I called today they said they would cancel the account without me signing anything, and refund 3 months of payments. But they would not refund 3 years of payments taken from my account after I had called multiple times to cancel. They can see from their records that I have not used their service in over 4 years and they can also see that I have called multiple times in the past to cancel.
Very frustrating.

I canceled them and they thanked me for the business with a $485 cancellation fee. But before they canceled me they charged $183+ for the last month of $0 activity. STAY AWAY!!!!!

i have been with this company for 5 years, started off great but kept adding fees, and changing pricing. i went for a review at another company and was told they double charging on some of their fees and their fees were much higher than others. their pci fee is $119 per year and the other company i checked was $70. plus they added another $99 yearly fee on top of that! the final straw was my biggest shopping weekend of the year, my machine that was 2 months old quit working, and they couldnt do anything about it after 2 1/2 hours on the phone on hold most of the time. went to square up and its much cheaper

Completely agree with all 1 star reviews. Started great but then they quietly added charges and fees and changed the rates originally agreed to. I just closed my account with them and then received a phone call from my account manager Brian Roth. He tried to convince me to stay with them and after my "No" he just hung up. Great manners too!

We agreed to use North American Bancard for credit card processing. We agreed to pay a percentage of each transaction. We DID NOT agree to a monthly fee, and we were not charged one. UNTIL, we asked them to close our account. 3 Months later they begin taking money out of our bank account. Charging us a monthly fee we did not agree to. We had to stop payment at our bank.... because every month they try to take our money.

This company is the worst. They set up my terminal wrong and deposited all my money to another merchant's account. Then instead of reversing funds from that merchant's account to pay me, they charged my customers a second time. When I demanded NAB to refund money to my customers, NAB tried to withdraw money from my account for the refund. They still owes me money after more than one month of inquiry and stopped deposit my credit card collection in my account all together. I kept calling and sending emails but all I got were excuses and apologies and no resolution. Now my customers are telling me that this NAB is charging them again for the third time using my company name. I believe NAB is triple dipping.

They got one star only because I had to tick one - They dont deserve even 1. I closed my account, returned my equipment, Thankfully sent it priority mail, and they received it. Then 2 months later withdrew 900 from my account for equipment. When I gave them the tracking I mistakenly gave them the wrong number. They told me the unit was not in their stock and I did not have proof of the return. They would not refund. When I got the right number and PROVED it was returned they said they would refund the money they stole. They had the equipment - but I had to PROVE they had it. DONT do business with these people. They can not be trusted

Trying to charge me for 2 months of service even though they show and have record that I cancelled 1 month before the months they are trying to charge me for. What a bunch of rude individuals. They will not take care of anything and continue to transfer me from 1 person to another.

EDIT. After reading my initial review, North American Bancard reached out to me and refunded me the money I had paid for the late charges. I'm happy with the outcome.

0 Stars. Along with all of the other reviews, this company has been a nightmare to deal with. My previous merchant service sold their company to American Bancard... Couldn't leave them fast enough. I ended my contract last fall and returned all of the equipment on time. It is now 9 months later and I received a call from a collections agency stating that American Bancard did not receive the equipment on time and that I owe them $109. Never received a courtesy call from NABC at one point in the last 9 months. After reading other reviews, this seems to be a common practice for them. Scammers. I returned the equipment on time.

Sales representative I talked to name chris Burke when I was doing singing up, told me no contract, and when I am trying reach for cancellation, he doesn t come on phone. And his manager Brian R. Was rude, and using bad languages. This is fraud company. Don t do business with this company. I really don t want give any star for review to this company.

When one day I checked my accounts I was in a shock that Global Payments ( associated with NAB) is charging me 20..sometimies up to 30% of the deposits !!!!! When I called NAB to complain, they told me - fees may change, everything is in a contract.
THE WORST!!! I lost so much money and I am so happy now that I was able to get rid of them!! Even though they charged me $700 termination fee!!!
These crooks are in the business of fake fees. As soon as they get access to you account, they 'll just won't stop pulling your money.

Bandits. Thieves. Liars. Just use a flat fee service like paypal or Square. so much easier and no overhead in a slow business month.

I was going to send my card machine back two months ago, but they talked me out of it twice, saying they could waive the charges because of covid 19. Each month I had to call and get new additional charges waived. Then in June they stuck me for a $162 fee for PCI compliance (The fee small businesses get charged because big businesses can't keep their IT information safe)> They say they can't waive the PCI fee.

Screw these lying thieves. I'd give them negative stars if I could.

The whole time it seemed like he had something better to do and did not want to help me in any way. Wasted 30 mins and did not resolve any of my issues. Stay away from this company, I will let all my friends know too.

He promise me upon signing up - no cancellation fee!
And obviously I've been charged 750$ from my account after closing my last account. Be aware , don't believe they words. Bunch of liars . See you in court!
That's what I get after 3 years of business with North American Bancard shame on you !!!

This is the most inept and fraudulent processing service we have ever used. We thought that we had closed our account with NABC. But later to our distress they kept the account open and continued to bill us for charges even though the account was inactive and never used. We never received the paperwork they said that was sent via email, the never sent another billing statement...and now refuse to refund the funds they took from our account. This is the most dishonest and untrustworthy company we have ever had to deal with. There need to be more ways that consumers are protected from these fraudulent companies.

We opened an account and closed shortly thereafter when the business closed. We returned the terminals only to be charged a total of $1500 for terminals they claimed were never received. They were sent in boxes they provided. Of course, they were received. They filed collection actions on the individual owners, claiming a personal guarantee. These were disputed and when they couldn't provide documentation supporting the claim, the collections were expunged as fraudulent. 12 months later they filed collections AGAIN using a different collection agency. This company is deceptive and dishonest.

I HAVE BEEN LIED TO BY SALES PERSON ABOUT THE RATES FOR USING THIS SH!T COMPANY ( HE TOLD ME IT WILL BE $15 PER MONTH). MY FIRST BILL CAME IN AND OF COURSE IT WAS MORE!!!!!!!!!!! WHEN CONFRONTED THE REP HE GAVE ME SOME MONEY BACK AND TOLD ME THAT IT IS A MISTAKE.

IT WAS NOT!!!! THE FEES EVERY MONTH WERE $40 SOME. I TOLD HIM TO COME BY AND TAKE THE MACHINE SINCE I WILL NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS SCAM COMPANY, AND ALSO TOLD HIM TO CLOSE THE ACCOUNT. HE TOOK THE MACHINE AND OF COURSE HE NEVER CLOSED THE ACCOUNT.

I AM RECEIVING MONTHLY BILLING WHEN I CALLED AT LEAST 5 TIME TO CANCEL THE ACCOUNT AND WAS TOLD ITS OK. ITS NOT. ACCOUNT IS STILL OPEN. WHEN CALLING NOW THEY SAY TO CLOSE THE ACCOUNT I HAVE TO RETURN THE MACHINE. WELL, IT WAS TAKEN BY THE REP MONTHS AGO.

SO THIS IS WHERE I STAND NOW. RECEIVING MONTHLY BILLING AND NOWHERE TO CALL NOR COMPLAIN. I WILL CONTACT BBB AND ANY GOVERNMENT AGENCY TO SEE THAT THIS IS LOOKED IN TO.

Would give 0 stars if possible! Cancelled my account months ago- haven t used them since January... yet still being charged ridiculous amounts every month. Customer service is very very rude. Don t sign up with them unless you want to be screwed over!

Take a hard look at your statements people - In the Assessments portion you will find a rate that states (.19), but that is the portion that goes to VISA. NABancard is taking .06% markup, instead of sending all .19% of it, they just send what they are supposed to .13%. Essentially selling you a markup on top of a mark up. Start waking up world.

by far the very worst I MEAN the worst merchant service provider out there. HORRENDOUS service. My body shop had to make more than 6 calls to resolve a billing issue they erroneously made! EVEN after we had cancelled from them! We sat on hold every time we called even got disconnected twice. One dept doesnt know what the other is doing etc..
You have been warned! If I could get rid of that one star and put a minus we would!

They are rude and they don't tell you the truth. They held up over 75k of funds even thou they verified the validity of this charge. They promised funds would be put into my account and than changed their mind. I have been a customer of theirs for about 7 years with not one problem with my charges. I do not recommend their services at all. they are crooks.

worst company ever i had. I have not sign the early termination contract. But now they are sending me the charge which is not fair. I got an email from the collection . I already returned the equipment and now they are sending me the charge. I would rather give them a 0 if it is possible. i tried to call them each single day for returning their equipment. They did not care. Finally i found an address and i returned. Poor customer service. In the beginning they call every day saying they offer best merchant service which is cheap. They promise it is guaranteed cheap rates. I cancelled the existing merchant service and get connected with north american which i found most expensive merchant service. And finally i tried to reach them calling them every day about the rates. They did not care at all. last, i cancelled them. Now, they are sending me charge which is not valid. I already paid them $300 which I don have to pay them. Again, they are sending me charge. This company is robbing the customer. I refer not to join this company even they try to fool you.

Worst company to work with. Never ever indulge in any type of business with this company. I used there credit card merchant service for 2 moths and I was ridiculously charged more then what said. Then I got email and call from a collection agency after a year saying that we didn't receive the terminal that you returned and was asking $895 as the charge for it. complete garbage. PLEASE DONT DEAL WITH THEM

Have been getting the run-around as I try to discontinue with this company. Wrote a letter and was told I had to call in. Called in a left on hold forever as they pretend to provide customer service. Do not sign up with them, the main answering service has always felt like some sleepy person answering the phone at a bus depot....and now I wonder if I'll ever be able to terminate this.

This company is a joke and theft. Look at your bank acc carefully. The fee will go up higher and higher. I think the best way to get rid of them is closing your bank account because they will keep digging into your bank acc and steal your money even without providing you service. Look at my cancellation form ! This form look like a piece of napkin. No name of the company, try to scam me for termination fee $920 and the machine $895 ( while you can buy it on ebay for $60). They will put u in colllection, just dispute it because they have no proof. Save yourself from this mess.

I had an account with them for years, tried canceling after they repeatedly raised rates and fees on me...I was paying over $70 month to process $20 worth of charges. Now they're charging me for the terminal too... $895... free equipment, what a joke. Why would they even want a ten year old terminal back?? Such scumbags... dishonest and will steal your money. Never ever do business with these awful people. They stole my money and are sending me to collections because I tried to cancel my account.

Can't even explain how disappointed I am with this companies business practices. Used them for my credit card processing and I was enrolled at competitive rates then they increased my rates to 7 times what I was originally paying. Did business with them for year and would never have moved if they would just have been honest and ethical. This bait and switch tactic seems borderline criminal but who has the time to fight it just want to warn others to stay far away from this company.

Update: called the company again like the reply said, got nowhere. The lady (Jennifer) from the collection department was extremely rude and would not stop talking over me long enough for me to even explain our situation. I was treated as if I had done something wrong and got literally nowhere. I have since reported the company to the Better Business Bureau and contacted my attorney. I refuse to pay a $1,300.00 balance for something that I have proof was returned. Again, a warning to all, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

If I could give Zero stars, I would. We used this company for our merchant services and after 3 faulty pieces of equipment (they blamed our internet but our IT specialist ruled this out), we discontinued our service. This process was a nightmare because they attempted to hold us to a contract that we never signed. Our sales representative told us there would be no contract and no termination fees. Of course, we had to walk through walls to avoid being billed a termination fee. Now, nearly a whole year later, we have received a letter from a collection agency for $1200 worth of equipment that we have confirmation was delivered back to this company. The collection agency is threatening to damage our credit with this, and I cannot get anyone form this company to return my phone calls to clear this up. The equipment WAS returned immediately. We have never received anything up to this point stating that we owed this balance, so it is unbelievable to me that now a collection agency is handling this.
