Great place for children of all ages. Really hope the city cleans the surrounding neighborhood because you would never know the amazing place is even there. Nevertheless, B&O Railroad Museum is a must see if your visiting Baltimore. Very nice!!

Man this place is great. It's even better if you love trains and are 4. It was Thomas the tank engine day so they had us come in through a back building that I had never been in... Huuuuuuuge, gorgeous steam engines that my son could even play in! It was awesome! If your kid loves trains, or heck even you kind of sort of enjoy trains, you should check this place out.
I visited the B&O Railroad this evening. It s opened on Thursdays from 4-7, May-September. Everything they sell is local and/or fresh. It s a great way to support local communities who work hard to make a living!
A day out with Thomas was a lot of fun for all my kids. The thomas ride was pretty lame but only because you couldn't here the story and the train itself was pretty dirty. The scenery on the ride wasn't too great either. The museum was beautiful though and had really gorgeous restorations of the trains.
Really great Railroad museum. We came on a special event day (to see Thomas the Tank Engine) so we didn't get to see half the museum; there's so much to see! The roundhouse is amazing!!
Great adventure. My daughter has a bit of a engineering bent and loved it. The only reason I don t give it five stars is that the neighborhood is a bit sporting. On my first trip, a Baltimore SWAT team performed a no-knock entry on a house about two blocks away from the museum as I was driving in. Park in the secure areas. Get out before the sun goes down and it will be a great family adventure.
The worst museum I ve ever visited in Baltimore. On arrival the cashier didn t mention that there was going to be any train rides. My son who is 6yrs and myself visited the museum. He was extremely excited about riding the train, but no train rides. The cafe was closed and all the activities for the children were closed. Spoke with the manger and she stated she wouldn t be able to compensate us for anything, but enjoy the museum. The trains were old and rusted. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED. We only spent 30min in the museum and the manger told me there was no one else i could speak to. My son cried so back. Never again!!!
My 4 and 5yr old loved it especially when they got to ride on Thomas. My 9 and 11yr old loved walking through the trains especially the one with the model train display.
I took my 4yr old for his birthday along with his cousin. His cousin is a tween. They both loved every part of the museum. It's spacious; some are indoors other exhibits are outdoors. Snacks are reasonable. Everyone wore a mask and stayed 6ft apart. It's easy to do. There is a train ride for a fee. It's a lot of fun! I highly recommend this for adults and children. Adults, this would make a pretty cool date, and restaurants are within driving distance.
