Bailey's Smokehouse and Tavern Review

Almost 5 stars. Food was great. Ribs, wings and fried chicken all excellent. Can be a little loud downstairs so try to sit upstairs. Service is good but can be variable.

The food was excellent, chill ambiance sitting outdoors. Pricing was reasonable. For 2 women and a man we had Wings to share (4 pcs each- 12 total) and for entree, full rack of ribs and the two free sides + 2 extra sides.
Mac and cheese, mash potato, coleslaw, sweet potato fries, all excellent.

The buffalo wings were the best I ever had and I'm quite the food critique.
Surprisingly, though the ribs were good, my husband and I both were not blown away. For me personally the smoke aroma was too intense. But the texture and sauce were Great. Service was excellent. Overall I still give 5 stars and definitely see this being our go to restaurant since we are new in the neighborhood and don't have our spot yet!

MMMMMMM!!!! cant wait to go back! just beware of the noise level. acoustics in this place are not good so voices are over loud but you'll quickly forget once your scrumptious food is brought to your table! great service too! crab cakes tasted like home made, the meat well BBQ'd, large portions! mac/cheese great. just the carrots were brown from too much sugar (hence the 4 stars) will be back!

Clean place, good service & atmosphere. Good prices too. Food is decent, it's not terrible, but way too much bbq sauce hides the real flavor. I had different types of meat and they all tasted the same. It's not bad, but I've had real bbq in the South, so my standards are high.

The last few times I have been there for take out, the ribs have been very dry and I have noticed that the size of your ribs got smaller.. Paul hopefully you look out these things by the next time I go hate the I been going for years and lately this things have happened.... update 10-28-2018 yesterday I went again and really haga big changes since last time for takeout ribs where delicious and juicy just as I expected.. well done looking forward to come again

Gread BBQ excellent prices. if you get a platter make sure your ready for a lot of food or to share it with your table. ample portions!

Food was ok. Meat was a little dry & the grilled cheese was a little greasy. Since it has a ton of great reviews maybe we just caught the off shift. Place was clean and if we were back in the area I would most likely give it a 2nd shot.

One of the better BBQ spots in the area. Lots to chose from as well as good drink menu. Parking lot is ample. Texas Lollipops or chili for appetizer is my favorite!

I called to inquire about booking this location for a private party of about 30 people, a couple of which are older and have difficulty with stairs so of course I simply asked if there would be a lot of stairs to get to the room. The woman helping me was very nice, however she asked me to hold while she asked someone else about availability and dates. I wasn't put on hold so I could hear the whole conversation. The man she was talking to said that a private party of that size and the inquiry about stairs "wasn't worth the effort" and he said "tell them we are booked up." Needless to say, I will never go to this establishment.

Nice place. Very friendly. Will return. Have to add to this. Went back the next day. This place is like your local bar. The staff is beyond nice. The patrons are just as cool. If youre in the area stop by. You wont be dissapointed. Oh ya... the food is great too. Will visit everytime im in town.

This is a comfortable and homelike place for the customers. Their decoration is adorable. Foods are served very tastefully. Recommended for foodies. Some of the foods you can try are Pulled Pork, 1/2 Fried Chicken, The Table Buster, Texas Lollipops.

Went for the first time for the corn bread. We ordered the sampler for 2 which came with 2 sides. So we ordered mac & cheese and corn bread, well Cheryl failed to tell us that the mac & cheese is considered 2 sides, and never told us. We were charged for the corn bread.
We ordered coffee, she never asked if we wanted a second cup ...just gave us the bill.
We were charged for the corn bread, and when we asked why we were charged she told us about the mac & cheese, but never offered to do anything or even apologize for not saying anything.. She did this "giggle" thing and walked away. We wont rush back... food is fair.

Had the roasted beet salad. It was amazing. Next day had the pulled pork sandwich it was good. Third day, yes third day, had the brisket. Back to amazing.

In the lower hudson valley area this has to be the best BBQ joint. Great food with reasonable prices, livley atmosphere, interesting events, And great service. Except for the bathrooms state, it's pretty disgusting

Excellent food! Relatively large portions, can be VERY busy. DEFINITELY call ahead. Basement dining has little to no cell reception.

We got the Mac n cheese for the first time tonight.I was really surprised how tasteless it was. It wasn't even that cheesy either. Although the garlic mashed were fairly good.

Picked up my BBQ sampler for 2... I've eaten sandwiches heavier than this bag w my 4 meats and 2 sides. Always good food but portions have gotten much smaller.

Best BBQ in Rockland hands down! Going w friends, order a table buster..a lot of food for a good deal on the price. Mac n Cheese Egg Rolls are so good. Also ...try the Burnt Ends its incredible! Sidebar: they also just recently opened up a 2nd carry out only store in Haverstraw...just in case your too far from the other side of Rockland.

Great local place. Was visiting from Long Island for some hiking. Small and quaint location but huge and delicious menu.

good food, love the St. Louis ribs, I prefer then dry. Corn souffle is the bomb. Beet salad is wonderful also. Been coming to Bailey's over 5 years.

Love this place so much. There is something for everyone, especially the Texas lollipops. Gave me tastes of the ciders they had so I could try something new with dinner.

I have had the samples multiple times and it never disappoints. Good service and have always been able to get a table. Reasonable price and nice selection of beers.

If you are hungry they will fill you up with very good food and the beer is nice and cold.

Love this place! Great BBQ & the restaurant has a fun loving staff. Across the street they have a takeout place so you can enjoy this great food at home.

Nothing wrong with Baileys. Great place to eat. But i've had better BBQ.

The Texas lollipops are unbelievable. I got a full rack of spare ribs, and they were a bit dry, and tough. But nothing that a little BBQ sauce won't fix and their sauce is very good. The wife's pulled pork was really good.

We went here in hopes of good bbq ribs. So we ordered the half rack ribs and mac n cheese eggrolls. The egg rolls had very little pork in it-barely visible. And the ribs were dry and bland. The whole order came out to 27.xx which is ridiculously overpriced dry meat and deep fried mac n cheese. Portuguese Churrasqueira Restaurant on route 59 is way better. The meat is marinated and then put on a grill. And a half rack of large sized ribs with 2 sides is about $15. What a waste!

I enjoy my meals it's great to eat. I been there twice.

The day I discovered Fink s was the day I stopped going to Baileys. No comparison and Fink s always gets my order right, unlike Baileys where no less than 6 times I ve had to return the order.

Incredibly delicious! A little dryer than I'd hoped, but the taste made it worth it. I will go again many times, I'm sure!

Probably my favorite bbq place ever. No bad choices. Go there hungry. My preference is upstairs for bar atmosphere, but downstairs is good family atmosphere too!
