Please don't stay here. Not even a 1 star hotel. Filthy carpets, sticky everything, no proper parking spot. Horrible experience.

The service was incredible. The ballroom looks super guilded age-y. It was an incredibly beautiful place.

Well if you're from out of town this is probably one of the nicest places you can stay to be on a nice quiet Bay Beach. Walk to the Strand and maybe 103 million different restaurants. Laid back very Hawaiian landscape here. Cute little Bungalows you just can't miss

Beautiful hotel. Did their very best, considering the COVID-19 circumstances. Great view, food, service, and staff. The private beach was nice too! Will definitely stay there again.

Nice place. A little unorganized as we waited an hour past check in for our room which was not what we booked. But they made it right by giving us $50 worth of vouchers for their cafe and giving us a ground level bay suite.

Very nice venue, clean and well maintained. Attentive staff. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

I was upset how their main advertisement was the luxurious beds by the Bay and they didn't even have them out. Thats what caught my eye to choose this hotel in the first place. The weather was perfect to have the beds out so I'm not sure why they would wait for the summer. But the staff was friendly and the beds are super comfortable.

Had a great time! Water was turned off the last night we were there which made it a little uncomfortable but other than that the stay was great

The food is delicious! There were 10 of us and about 8 different items were ordered. The ingredients are fresh and the food is scrumptious!

The restaurant is small so we were a bit cramped and due to our large group, the meals came out staggered but the quality of the food and the incredible friendliness of the staff outweighed any possible deficit.

We all had a great time and will most assuredly be back.

Good place for families with kids. Our room looked like it was recently updated and was about twice the size of the average hotel room. Well be coming back.

This place was worth every penny. We upgraded to a room directly on the bay and it was exactly what we wanted. I cannot even begin to explain how great it was to sit in the cabana on the beach listening to the waves and watching the sunset. Mind you I went during the off season, but it was exactly what my family wanted out of vacation. The seals were a great addition. If we visit San Diego again I will definitely book this hotel again!!!

Nice resort about 10 minutes walk to Mission Beach. On Mission Bay or across the street from Mission Bay depending on which side you stay on. Enough to do on resort for a few days... tennis, beach on the bay, rentals on the bay, boat rental on Marina, etc... could use a small shuttle getting to one end of resort to the other but small enough to walk back and forth. Laundry available. All staff are courteous and professional.

Beautiful location, exellent grounds and rooms. Beach living at it's best.

Great place for a lovely breakfast with your organization.

Rooms were quaint but power went out at 3 a.m. no fault of the resort but made no effort to apologise for the inconveniences incurred. Can't sleep without a CPAP

Resort is beautiful my kids and I loved every minute

We're currently staying here and I'm pretty disappointed. My husband and I are celebrating our honeymoon and the pictures online look NOTHING like the actual rooms. First they weren't even ready for our room until an hour and a half after the 4 oclock check in so they upgraded us to a "Deluxe" and not much deluxe about it.. Huge stain on the floor, dead bugs in the bathroom, our "bay view" is literally a parking lot and you can kinda see some water. There's no assigned parking so people are parked all over the place and its a confusing layout. Plus the walls are paper thin and I can hear the bros next door broing down and slamming their door. Dont plan on staying here again. Oh. And now our shower is also leaking. Wish I could add pics of this place.

Great resort. Pool area is very clean. Beaches are well maintained and amazing!

Had my grabdmas 80th Birthday in the Del Mar room. The hotel's catering was genuinely delicious! The fish and chicken were cooked well and the various sides were extremely tasty. The desert selection was also varried and fantastic.

We loved our room. Everything was very clean. I really enjoyed my stay and plan on returning with family. Parking is the only hard part. Parking is free with stay but late at night you could get pretty far away from your room. Other than that it was awesome. Beautiful grounds.

An oasis in paradise! So much to offer for every age. Boats to rent, plus ride a booze cruise with entertainment. Love this place

This hotel is wonderful. I don't ever want to leave. We stayed in the 400 building but next time I will get a room that is ground level on the beach but still its not a bad walk. The service is amazing. Twila helped us check in and we were so thankful for her help. We arrived very early before check in and she help us get in early. That saved my life as I was traveling alone with two excited 5 year olds!

Most definitely will be back. Wishing we would have had several more days here. Walking distance to everything.

This resort is very nice and provides all the comforts of home, including a private beach.

Great hotel just a block from Belmont Park and the boardwalk with tons of people having fun. Quiet, great view, awesome swimming pool and huge hot tub. Love staying here.

I was here visiting for work. Doors were opened for me and all the employees were very pleasant

I arrived at the Bahia for Mother's Day. The rooms were run down, they upgraded me to a larger suite because my room had a horrible smell the carpet had stains it was horrible. The upgrade was better but the furniture was run down and the carpet still had stains and the dinning room chairs had stains on them as well the king bed was run down and hard. I paid $550.00 for two nights. The food was excellent the front desk customer service was excellent we had a bay view, the beach is city owned so it opened to the public all day lots of noise all day not much privacy as I expected. Overall I was not satisfied with my stay the resort is ran hard and put away wet! I'm definitely considering buying a mobile home for my traveling stay for my future very disappointed

Service was great! We were upgraded to the Bay front room. Room was tight, but the view was not bad. Room was completely dark when we walked in, though. A night light would have been good.

A very nice hotel. Conveniently located across from Mission Bay giving you a wonderful view. They have an awesome pool/jacuzzi.

I went to a office chistmas party here and I am very satisfied with my experience. The ball room is very good looking, and all of the staff is very polite and professional. The Flaming yawn was very good.

The room we stayed in was pretty small, and lacked some basic amenities I've grown used to from even budget hotels. They were nicely furnished but the linens were a let down.

Nice place, in the back there's access to a mellow bay without waves for kids. Also enjoyed the fire pits that were about one hundred yards way.

Great hotel!! Theres a private beach for hotel guests so, on holidays when mission bay gets packed you can still hang or watch fireworks with just a few people.

I found this hotel online, and it was perfect brake for me and my family the hotel is very nice and so clean the most important thing is it's very peaceful and quit you feel like your in Hawaii

The place is way too big. You need a shuttle service to get to the front office from some parts of the place.

Very nice as advertised. We appreciated the west view over the harbor and the close proximity to Mission Beach.

Very nice hotel, no issues with front desk at all. We arrived early and asked to check is as soon as possible, they called us when a room was available. we got checked in 2hrs early on a monday. room was clean apart from comforter being a bit tattered, but it was between sheets and I understand things get warn out and may have just been missed.
We booked through hotwire and I was pleasantly surprised with a kitchenette room, pots and pans in the room already as well as utensils.
We had palm trees up to our balcony window so that was our view, which we were happy with.

I really don't know but the shape of the penisilla that the resort is located on looks beyond excited.

Hotel is located in the center of the bay. You have great views from most of the rooms . Fire pits for late night bonfires to watch the sea world fire works.

We were there on the beach celebrating my nieces 15th birthday. It was a really nice day and were with family and friends. Had a good time with no problems.

Very kid-friendly, staff in hotel and restaurant was very friendly and attentive.

My family and I had a great experience room was clean staff was friendly. the property is used for a large number of events weddings and so forth and we heard a number of guest complaining about the noise especially some rooms below the ballroom.

The room was not clean. Wallpaper coming down at the seems. It smelled really bad. We didn t even want to walk on the carpet. Your only paying for the location. Not worth the money spent at all.

Travelers Beware!!! I booked rooms at the Bahia Resort in San Diego at a hefty price and when we got there the room was nothing like they show on their website. In fact it looked like a room from the 60's when I asked why are room didn't look like what they show on the computer they told me it would have if I had booked directly with them, but since I booked thru Expedia they couldn't give me those rooms. There was a access rd btwn us & the beach & cars fr the public were driving in & out most of the day & evening. They had a wedding across fr our room in a park on the grounds & the noise & drinking kept us up most of the night. In Expedias defense they said all they could do is work with what the hotels send them,k I told them I understand but Bahia was telling people that they got the crummy rooms by booking thru them. You might get them cheaper but it all boils down to you get what you pay for.

I booked this hotel based upon all the positive reviews. I looked at the pictures online on their website and was even more excited because it looked super nice and for it being on the bay wasn t a bad price. My hopes were so high. Well let s just say I m super disappointed. Rooms are super small and literally have no room to walk around. A/C unit is small and the air that comes out has a stench. Water that comes out of the bathroom sink smelt weird as well. Water in the shower never gets hot, only warm. No ceiling lights, only lamps which is annoying because we can t see in the room that much. Back doors are super heavy and super hard to open and close. There were cob webs on our ceiling. And overall it wasn t what the pictures portray at all. It wasn t worth the price. Definitely won t be staying here anymore. Views were beautiful and it was really great to be on the bay. But the rooms weren t worth it. I had such high hopes but sadly got brought down quickly.

Went for the paddle boat ride. Was absolutely beautiful! Full super moon hiding and peeping in and out from behind rolling clouds but sky above was crystal clear. The boat ride was very long. Beautiful at night with all the glittering lights. And only $10 for non overnight guests. We mostly stayed up too in the open air and away from all the drinking. Was a very pleasant night and can't wait to do it again with out of town quests. The boat ride allows you to get off at the Catameran hotel on the opposite side of the Bay there and catch the next ride back in about an hour and half. But those with children need to be aware that only the 6:30 and 9 pm rides allow anyone under age 21. So get off if you catch the very first ride out there and return on the very next one if there's anyone with you under age 21. Otherwise you'll be stuck there. Last tour is Nov 26 until Jun I believe. Be sure to call in advance for hours of operation or you may find no service.

Great hotel, completely family friendly and relaxing. Grounds are well kept, room has good furnishing. 2 downsides, I down recommend staying on the public beach side it is very lowd, also the food is not on par with the pricing I expected it be better.

Nice hotel, but a lot of the rooms look a bit old. The location is great, and it has a nice beach front. However the rooms are not particularly exciting or luxurious, neither are the buildings.

The customer service was out of this world! I seriously can't wait to have a family vacation here. Every single employee I encountered was the kindest ever!!!
