About Back To Baskets

We supply a large range of Organic handmade baskets including Storage, Market Baskets, Planter Baskets, Hamper Baskets and Baby Change Baskets. They are woven in French, African and Mediterranean styles in a variety of Sizes, Colour, Shapes and Designs.

Our baskets are all grown from materials including Water Hyacinth, Seagrass and Jute. All are grown sustainably in fields away from the shoreline without endangering any aquatic flora and fauna. We make regular visits to see our suppliers and artisans who are weavers at village level over many generations. Many of these artisans are subsistence-level farmers who welcome the opportunity to earn income during the growing seasons.

Our baskets are made very strong however will break down organically at the end of their useful life. We promote the empowerment of local women and disadvantages groups as well as the protection of our natural resources.
