This place is alright, but the atmosphere is a little hipster-y and not in a good way. I guess there's nothing wrong with that if that's your scene, but even for Ferndale, this place is really pretentious. Drinks were good though.

Awesome service ! Abby was very knowledgeable & attentive. I had tried & enjoyed Zombie killer before visiting and when I found out I'd be in town added a visit to the taproom to the itinerary. Definitely worth checking out! Great sizing options i.e., 1oz & reasonable pricing. Cherry Chipotle was great resembled a light bodied red wine , also tried the "kill all golfers ", "ow, my mangoes" & "devil's juice". Industrial decor w/ a laid back vibe and a varied selection of flavors made for an enjoyable visit.
My girlfriend and I saw this place featured on the morning news so we were in the area and decided to try it out. Pleasantly surprised would describe our visit ! From the outside it's in a somewhat industrial area , However once inside this place shines . We enjoyed several different meads and hard ciders . Also everybody was keeping face mask on and watched them sanitize everything that may carry germs , Social distancing was being observed and that is important in these times . Best of all you can take your favorites home in a growler . We will be back
Really fun symphony neighborhood series experience! I tried different meads and ciders. Yummy. The only lack was food. Nothing fancy, but what if you got a popcorn machine, or sold bags of pretzels and chips? We will bring something next time.
Laidback taproom. They've added more TV, have board games if you're inclined, and free bags of crunchy snacks. My favorite drink is the refreshing slice of life cider and Zombie killer mead. They have a slushy machine other frozen Zombie and I think the regular mead is better chilled.
Went for the Cider stayed for the Harry Potter Trivia. Packed house! Pierogi Pop Up! Well done B Nektar! Will be back for sure. Great staff and patrons. Tips go to Charity. Clean Refreshing and eclectic atmosphere.
Cozy little place with a friendly staff. I had a flight and was impressed with everything I tried. Will def be back. The Star Wars decor is an added plus.
I wish I could post a review without ranking. While I liked the place I went here after schrams and they are totally different more cider like less mead like. It's tough wish I would of went here first the wife and I both agreed. Things tasted fine. I loved the space. Welcoming.
Amazing cider and mead. The service is friendly and warm. Bought two flights, only got charged for one. When I went to go address the problem, they thanked us and gave us a complimentary cider for being honest.
It is a smaller place, but it is definitely a great location to check out if you are in the Ferndale area. Lots of different flavors to try. I have never been to any other place like it. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable.
Absolutely love this place!!! All the meds and ciders are delicious. Definitely worth the stop, and don't forget to take some home. The employees are cool too.
A must-see local bar serving, selling, and distributing mead, beer, and wine. A wonderful selection from fruity and sweet to spicy or hoppy B Nektar is a popular local brand found at many party stores. Their taproom is nice and open, staff is friendly, and you can choose from many board and card games to entertain your party with while you drink. Best of all its BYOF! Yep that's right: bring chips and salsa from home or get pizza delivered. The food selection is entirely your choice making this a solid venue for parties and gatherings.
Five stars for the mead; zero for service. Whomever the young lady (very short hair) that was working the night of 10/1 should be terminated as she is likely driving more customers away from your business than just this one. Like another review below this one - we were ignored for the first little while after being seated. There was only one other table with guests! Extremely rude, condescending, and was patronizing to my wife after she asked about the difference in taste between mead and cider. Will not be back to your taproom. Hope I can find it in the store!
Just wow!! Been on a cider and mead tear this summer and I'd bought Zombie Killer in the past in a store.. that is good stuff. But my buddy told me the place is a mile from where I'm staying this month.. i went.. and got individual cans to try.. pricey if done this way, but you gotta know what you like. Nothing was short of outstanding!! I just wish more was sold in stores.
If you like drinking.. and haven't tried mead.. check it out ASAP!
I really enjoyed my visit! Miranda gave us an excellent in dept tour. She explained the brewing process. Its definitely alot that goes into making that wonderful liquid magic they have. I'd recommend this place to anybody who wants to have different and very unique drinks. Good peaceful environment and a great unforgettable experience. Went here on a random weeknight and it was a stand-up comedy night. Comedians were decent. Drinks were better. They have a great selection of ciders, meads, and beers. Board games aplenty as well. Bathrooms--clean.
They have an extensive selections of Mead and hard cider. They do flights so that you can try a lot of them. My favorite was the Necro with mango and black pepper. The tap room is comfortable and roomy, and they have a few board games to play while you drink. They have some snacks for sale, and I think they let you bring in your own food. They have bottles you can take home as well.
such a cool place, with fun meads, good music, great bartenders, and they donate all of their tips to charity.... HOW GREAT IS THAT. i recommend everything!
They probably have the best mead selection in Metro Detroit! Yes they are not cheap, but their stuff is worth the money. And they update their menu very often!
Excellent Mead and great people behind the bar. They have a large selection of different meads and ciders. They also have a few beers. Collaborations with Black Lotus for a beer and with New Holland for stout barrels to age #DragonsAreReal mead. The taproom is nice and they have games you can play while enjoying the drinks. Excellent place for gluten sensitive people as most of their options are gluten free.
I absolutely love coming here! The staff is always friendly and engaging, the mead and cider are consistently delicious (I don't think I've ever had a drink here I didn't like), and their dedication to cleanliness and sanitation make this one of the few places I'm comfortable going right now.
I went for trivia and thought they'd have beers as well as mead since it says "taproom" in their name. They really only have mead and one "beer/mead hybrid" If you aren't a fan of mead I would not recommend it.
Nice meadery in Ferndale, located on the outskirts. Good selection, friendly staff, and a selection of board and card games for while you are enjoying your Mead or Cider.
This is their new tap room, a great improvement! Very spacious, lots of seating, great hangout overall! They are still getting settled, so there are some kinks they are working out, but their meads are amazing, staff is super friendly and welcoming. One thing I look forward to is when they (eventually) get food capabilities, but otherwise it is a great improvement over their old place!
Most amazing meadery. The atmosphere is so chill, the place is full of fun pop culture references and the staff are welcoming. The mead is to die for. Ancient Soul and Kill All The Golfers are our top two You'll love it here :)
Has a selection of board slash card games for patrons to play while they drink an awesome place for a d and d complain to come drink and play I will be returning
Best mead, best atmosphere, best bar staff. You really can't ask for much more. It's bring your own food, but totally fine to just stop in for a drink. They do trivia every week and it's always a blast. It's not right downtown, but it's in a very cool little industrial park area. Plenty of parking. Honestly no reason not to check it out.
