A top grade electronics/electrical device testing laboratory in India. Huge facilities are there. All IT products are tested there before releasing in the market.
For example, if a company makes an action camera that is designed to be IP67 rated, they send a sample to ERTL to confirm/bust it. Varieties of testing instruments are there to simulate environment and the device is put under test.
As a trainee at ERTL, I can confirm that the scientists working there are really knowledgeable and generous too. An ideal place for research.
It's situated right next to the IBM smart city and before techno India. Bus and taxi is the main transport medium. A bus stop is there in front of the ERTL.

This organisation is an undertaking of Standardisation Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) directorate which is an attached office of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (Deity), Government of India, provides quality assurance services in the area of Electronics and IT through countrywide network of laboratories and centres. The tasks carried out by this organisation are namely testing, calibration, certification and training. Testing facilities focus on electronic and software testing. Electronic testing include electronics and electrical Testing, component Testing, equipment system testing, environmental testing, safety testing, EMI/EMC testing, explosive atmosphere compatibility testing, opto-electronics testing, solar PV testing, reliability testing and analysis. Software testing includes Software testing and assessment, software process assessment, IT Security Testing and Assessment. It has laboratories at Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Delhi, Jaipur, etc.
