Awentsbury Hotel Review

A lovely little friendly hotel. Our room was perfect with a small but sufficient en-suite.
The full English breakfast was just right to start our day.
We would recommend this hotel.

Someone started a fire in next room about 3 am alarm going off for about hour and we was still told get out at 11am after no sleep and the breakfast not cooked proper and some next person was eating ours and had to wait again for another breakfast , the toilet didn't work and I'm sure there was bed bugs because i was getting bite by something , to everyone don't go there at all cost i believe the owners started the fire in next room because no one else was in there and they didn't call police or fire department i think they wanted to claim insurance, DON'T GO TO THIS HOTEL

The awentsbury is what it is... There's no getting away room that. It certainly isn't a modern hotel, but I can't have any complaints about my stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the water was hot. The location was ideal for me and the cost was reasonable.

Nice old house. Warm clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Car parking and garden for our dog.

Seemed to be helpful at first.
But attitude changed when i eventually actually got there. He told me it was only 2 miles away in fact it was actually more like 5 miles away - forgot to mention it was near the university- if i had known beforehand it wouldn't have been so difficult to find it. When eventually he did tell me i had already wasted nearly an hour.
Pretty unfriendly approach- i wouldn't recommend it and certainly wouldn't stay here again.

If you have a course at the uni this is the nearest place apart from the conference centre which has become too expensive. Stayed in a single room which wasn't great and a twin and double which were pleasant, well equipped and very well cleaned every day. Breakfast was average. Great location for the uni, off road parking, convenient and reasonably priced..

The awentsbury Hotel has been closed for nearly two years

A modest hotel which is comfortable and good value for money. Nice breakfast also. Would recommend

Fairly welcome reception. Rooms are clean but a little dated. Whole place could do with a lick of paint but for the price paid it was fine. I would happily stay here again if I'm working in the area.
