The biggest disappointment ever. Sloppy craftsmaship at inflated prices. Their upholstery is inferior to every other vendor I ve used in the last five years. Numerous pieces had to go back. A colossal waste of time and money and reflected badly on me as a professional interior designer
The Avery Boardman of years past Is gone. The cushions and construction are nothing like the craftsmanship and quality we ve come to know, as Designers. A custom sofa for a client started a year ago and we still do not have cushions that fit (3 sets so far), and no one seems to be at all interested in the product they deliver. The time lapse between communication and resolution is shocking to me, I ve never experienced such lack of concern. What a shame.
Do not place a sofa order with this showroom or company. Avery boardman was sold and is no longer a quality or professional manufacturer. We had owned 2 custom sofas over 25 years, and recently purchased a new one designed for our nyc apartment. There were errors made,including the wrong content of the stuffing material and the workmanship was very pedestrian. Worst part,when i reached out to their President, Mr. Foy, he double talked and did say he would come back with some compensation,and agreed we had poor service and product. The phone has not been returned four months later.
Everything is absolute quality when it comes to Avery Boardman. Whether it is a sofa or a bed. They won t you a silly pillow top mattress which you can t turn but a classic pillow top and even a horse hair mattress...the finest. The construction of beds, furniture.....the refined design and ability to adapt to your needs in unsurpassable. Bravo!
