I was very relaxed that I almost fell asleep during my pedi. We moved to the next room for my mani. Overall, I was pleased with the work and how my mani-pedi came out. I also opted to pay extra and get the shellac polish. Would definitely go back again for hair cut. Its very a nice salon for me :)

Had an an amazing full body scrub, massage and a mini facial. So relaxing and really nice atmosphere. I also had a manicure and a pedicure, the nail polish started coming off after 3 days so not so impressed with that. But the overall experience was superb.
Their products are amazing, but I'm not impressed with the colour...I walked out of the salon with the same hair I had before and they're not very organised either.
Beverley was amazing! So skilled, knowledgeable and experienced. Gave me exactly the new haircut I wanted after seeing only a few photos. Couldn't have been better!
Just experienced the rudest most unprofessional and racist behaviour. Member of staff hung up on me after being unable to explain why their menu says 'all staff are trained to handle all hair textures' when in reality they can't. Aveda pride themselves on products that are for every hair type and yet staff are unable to use them for best results with any customer on a simple wash and blow dry. Unbelievable unprofessional behaviour. ...since the above call last week I've had a number of calls from Aveda customer care and the salon. They have explained that training will be addressed for staff to deal with questions posed by the public and that wording on their menu would be looked at. I have been impressed with their response and attempt to put things right and improve the customer experience from booking to appointment end. And although I wouldn't feel comfortable to attend the salon at present I will continue to use their products as they are suitable for all hair types.
I had booked for colour which I'm happy with it, but even though I had not booked for a blow dry they still insisted on doing the blow dry despite the fact that I repeatedly mentioned I just need a quick dry. Poor, expensive blow dry which took a long time, which I ended washing and blow drying my hair again at home to wash the products and restyle my hair to suit my face. This is not the first time I'm having problems at this saloon, there's clearly lack of attention from the staff who take the bookings and some of the stylists. It's disappointing as the level of service used to be much better only a few years ago.
This salon is big, neat, and clean. You can enjoy a cup of tea, etc, while you are waiting for your appointment. I was attended by Jay, a really nice young lady, a professional hair stylist, who has magic hands and is super friendly. Thanks to her I got many compliments on my hair tremendously done. Thanks Jay, I'll come back!
I had a fantastic experience at The Aveda Institute Salon! I was spending the week in London and needed a place to get my hair done. I live in a very remote location and after many awful haircuts and colours my hair was in a bad situation.
Michael cut my hair. My hair is curly and he did an amazing job. I walked away LOVING my hair. It's been four weeks and I still love it. It is hard to find someone who cuts curly hair. This was my best haircut ever! I wish I lived in London so I could go regularly.
Jenny coloured my hair and worked miracles. She really listened to what I wanted and took my lifestyle into account. Just like my cut I love my colour. Its exactly what I wanted.
It is expensive compared to what I'm used to, but worth every penny!
An added plus is the atmosphere. It was an enjoyable and relaxing experience.
I would not hesitate when recommending this salon.
Kate is a great colourist and stylist who I highly recommend. I have nothing but good words to say about the friendly attentive staff and I always leave the salon with a smile!
I am super pleased with my new hair! Aline listened carefully to my ideas of how I wanted my colour hair to be, and the results were exactly how I wanted it - blonde and natural. Chloe cut my hair in a speed as I was rushed for time. Still the results were great and she managed to style it nice and natural in the short time I had. Definitely coming back :)
Fantastic haircut experience! Booked over phone for same day cut, very courteous receptionist.Greta was my stylist and she really listened to what I wanted, explained her suggestion, and diligently gave me a haircut that took c45 mins (most other salons cut you in 15-20 mins, so rushed!!!) Which meant that what I got was a bespoke personalized cut that suits my face, rather than some standard cut and blow dry. Very happy with Aveda. I used to exclusively go to Aveda in the States and I'm so glad to have similar cut quality here at Aveda London.
I ve been having my hair done with Aline for the past three years now, and let s just say, she never disappoints. I ve visited many salons in the past and I m yet to find someone who does such a beautiful balayage. The transition of colours she uses is amazing and I get so many compliments.
If you are also looking for a hair stylist, choose Chloe. She is so lovely and gives me the perfect cut.
Overall, the Aveda team as a whole are beyond awesome. They are so professional and welcoming. I honestly couldn t ask for a better service.
Really beautiful and calming environment in the treatment rooms downstairs. My therapist was lovely and it was the best wax I've ever ever had. Super quick but thorough and much less painful than anywhere else I've ever been. Well worth the extra money.
Receptionists are rude, smug and, for some reason, pretty pleased with themselves! It s worse if you try and book an appointment over the phone. They make you feel like you aren t worthy of their attention, they have better things to do and can be extremely patronising. After years of putting up with this (my fault) I ve finally moved to another salon. Not a good advert for what Aveda is supposed to stand for. They should take some learning from their colleagues in the States - my experience at various salons there couldn t be more different.
So happy with the results and my experience here! Surprisingly the dye didn't sting or felt painful like all the other dyes I've had before. Definitely coming back!
Lovely place, a bit pricey, and a little cheeky to have a cafe in the salon, most places will give you a proper sized cup of tea/coffee or glass of water without charging extra. Staff are lovely, but higher up stylists tend to be less willing to go with the cut you want, a shame for the price. However the lower and mid stylists are a lot more daring, and create fantastic looks. I'll be going back to see my current one until he leaves, he works magic on my hair.
Relaxing and very uplifting experience. The Aveda Institute is a stones throw from the main shopping area and is a welcoming time to chill in the city. I've been a regular here for some time now and I love it.
I have my hair colour done by Aline. She s so amazing at Balayage! Literally the best colourist in London! I won t go to anyone else. I can t recommend her and Aveda enough!
Always a great experience with Aveda and my Hair stylist Angelo, he is a state of the art hair stylist and colourist, incredible eye for colour and always makes my hair look absolutely amazing.
Disappointed because the date I booked on the website was not the date the booked for me and there was no indication of this. I appreciate I should have checked the confirmation, but it could have been communicated better
I have to say, the reviews are fairly representative and I'd have thought that the salon would read comments and listen to their customers. They were indeed fairly rude at the reception, no one smiled and the Jackie who was meant to dye my hair was very frazzled. I tried to make conversation and lighten the mood which kind of worked in the end but it took them 1 hour to even offer us water. Although I have no previous experience I think she did her job well, I'm pleased with the result. Beverley who cut my hair was pleasant initially which was a nice change but I can't say im too impressed with my cut, it is just alright. She never asked how I wanted to style my hair or if I wanted to use any products and she went ahead and used three products on my hair and made them really curly which looked good but was not what I would have chosen if I was asked. All in all I think they should listen to comments and improve, paying more attention to a heavily paying customer.
Had an appointment for a haircut at 10.30. At 10.45 they told me the stylist hadn t turned up and they would move me to 11. At 11.10 still no one available to cut my hair so I left, having wasted my morning. Won t be back.
Sent the wife here to have a full head highlights with Tae Ho, and a cut with Olivier. When she came out, she said it is the first time that she got the colour she has been after for years. Can't speak highly enough of the whole experience, and she has even stopped moaning, which is really saying something. Thank you so much, would recommend to anyone.
