My personal experience with Avanti was disgusting. Unhygienic rooms and unkempt locale. Hotel rooms with sub par amenities is one thing and can be overlooked, but when hygiene and cleanliness is a factor, you're putting the health of your guests at jeopardy, and that's a BIG PROBLEM.
Dirty rags were refolded and left there with colorful stains. Lamps had large dark stains, dresser had red splatter marks on handles, fridge wasn't working and ruined our food, purple couch had white stains and a large wet spot, floor had large streaks coming from the couch being moved, and on and on. and that, by the way, was the upgrade. The 'Premium Executive King Suite' looked like what you might expect a dirty motel room to look like.
Front desk was very helpful and wrote down my complaint with ease and even provided breakfast vouchers. But for what I paid for, that wasn't enough to make up for house keeping's ability to clean rooms, or lack thereof.
Update: A full refund was provided, but what I'm taking note of is how professionally my case was handled and how respectful the management and front desk team at Avanti were towards my health concern. Ive bumped up the rating to 3 stars for their personal touch and professionalism. I'm also hoping that complaints like these capture the attention of management teams elsewhere in hopes that it will avoid incidents in the future.
