Avanti Hotel Review

Stayed for two weeks with family. Good location, free shuttle service brings you to the parks. Room was dark, old fashioned and basic. Mini fridge made alot of noise during the night. Cleaners do not clean the rooms properly. Floor is thick with dirt, had to request/complain on more than one occasion for sheets to be changed and toilet paper and floors to be cleaned. Pool area is lovely, opens til 11pm. Too many kids in adult hot tub. No life guard. Pool bar expensive so bring your own drink. Overall good stay, nothing amazing.

Don t be fooled by those pictures on their website, the resort looks nothing like that. Room s looks disgusting inside and smells terrible. Towels very old and full of stains.

great location, access to parks, outlets and main points of Orlando, rooms comfortable for family, pool with heated water, staff always attentive and with very good tips.

It the second time for us to visit the place, this time I didn t like the way that housekeeping were cleaning the room .. they don t clean up the floor they only wiped the floor which let the dust remain there and get sticky into feet..

Decent location in the heart of I-drive. Surrounded by restaurants and quick access to the trolley. Basic amenities but you get what you pay for. Service is good.

I am local to Orlando, and love my staycations... USUALLY. This is not a resort, it's a motel with a good pool and bar with a central location. Checked into our "Jacuzzi suite." Line was long and took a while to get checked in, parked, only to find our room on the first floor under the stairwell. No view. AC was SO LOUD, I called and maintenance came, only to drill the cover down so it wouldn't rattle off the wall. Room was fair, pool and bar were decent but overpriced.
For the price you get what you pay for. If you dont mind that then Avanti is for you. If you're looking for comfort and luxury spend your money elsewhere.

Super friendly and upgraded us to a king for free and gave us free drinks fir my husband's St. Patrick's day BIRTHDAY!

I liked the resort but neither one of the beds functioned. They are sleep by number beds. I think we would have been better off staying at a cheaper hotel or sleeping on the floor

Stayed here about 3 times. Had an issue with one of the rooms and the staff gladly moved us and took care of the problem straight away

My room was always stocked with fresh towels and soap each day. They made my bed every day. They kept the room pretty clean, except they could definitely do a little dusting and or cleaning the wood door to the bathroom. That was the main thing. The counters, dresser, and tub were cleaned daily. I'd say it was worth the stay. I will say I wasn't a huge fan of how segmented the hotel was and that the entrances were outdoors. The pool area was great. As well as the bar/snack shake. I had breakfast one morning and it was delicious. Plus, they had a nice selection of beverages or snacks for you to purchase. Saves you a trip to a gas station if you are craving an evening snack.

Lobby was nice, amenities make you believe it's 5star until you get into the rooms. Towels did not smell clean nor was the bedding. Smelt like the last person who slept there. Floors are claimed to be cleaned by service personnel, but filthy. Hotel must have been built in the 80s and not updated too well. Motel 6 next time, at least you smell bleach in an attempt to be clean.

I liked it. You can tell that someone bought up an old hotel and slapped some quick renovations on it, but the price was great, the pool is great, there's a little game room. Rooms were clean, some things were a bit rickety like the toilet (rocked so loudly when you sat down it scared us every time lmao). I loved the fact they allow you to pay by the hour to stay past check out. I'd rather it have been free of course, but they've got to make their money.

The staff are fantastic they have great customer service skills always very helpful and the breakfast area Amy and cant remember other staff names but every morning Amy was so friendly and helpful made me feel at home will be back to this hotel

I recently stayed at th Avanti Resort for 8 nights with my daughter.We have stayed at the Avanti many times before and have always had a great time.But sadly standards have massively slipped.On arrived we checked in the bed sheets had blood on one and the other stained.after speaking to reception staff it took until the evening of the following day before the sheets got changed.My daughter slipped on the bathroom floor again we spoke to reception staff and maintenance to discover management are aware of a design fault and water fromr the shower spills out onto the floor.Putting guests at risk of injuries.Unfortunatly are stay didn t get any better are room wasn t serviced properly towels not changed when I discussed this with front of desk manager I was horrified at his response saying when he recently went on holiday with his family they used the same towels for two weeks so he didn t see the problem when our towels were not changed.,the hotel appears to be very under staffed .Bags of rubbish was left outside of our room overnight by housekeeping.obstructing fire exists.
Such a shame a hotel with such a great location is letting guests Down.

A fair price and a great hotel. Located right on the heart of International Drive so there are many places to go for entertainment and food

Very bad experience hidden costs and dirty rooms washed covered with dirty water and showers with hair and garbage covered a disgust ......

Arrived, didn t know where to go or what to do. I parked and walked in to a huge line in the lobby to check in, which I assumed I was to get in that line being no one was directing or giving instructions. An hour and $288.00 later I get my room key and walk into a nasty dingy hotel room. I m not one to complain and NEVER write reviews, but I was highly disappointed and disgusted. The phone didn t work to even call and ask for towels. I was on the first floor and my neighbors partied all night inside and outside of the room slamming the door, loud, lots of people etc. I hoped a staff member would ve noticed and shut it down even though if that would ve happened it wouldn t have made a difference because the walls are paper thin. I think I finally fell asleep at 4:30 a.m I won t go back to this resort

This is the first time back since became avanti resort,formally the echno lodge.and what a transformation.the rooms have been stripped and been totally updated.the pool area has changed too, with beach like settings,sandy beaches round the sides,very child friendly too.at the moment work still been carried out on the new poolside bar area( which there was not much noise to complain about )will look great when finished.overall we had a great stay here ,the price was reasonable,had no complaints at all.staff were good too,most said good morning.still a great location for bars and restaurants.
Hope to be back next year to see it all finished.

just came back from the avanti really enjoyed our stay lovely rooms cleaned every day ,good facilities friendly staff and great location . would definitely come back highly recommended thanks to all the staff.

The one star is for the very hospitable staff. The room that I stayed in is more in line with a fish camp than a resort. Not conducive at all for business stay. Probably okay for a tight budget trip with the kids - you don t have to worry about them tearing anything up.

Great, close to several points you do not have to leave by car. Super recommend it!

The AC unit is noisier than other resorts I've stayed at in Orlando, kinda disrupts the sleep. Room was a little dirty especially the microwave and the ceiling was peeling.

The air conditioner in our room sounded like a train coming through

Live bugs, dead bugs, water leak, mold stench. I'm giving two stars instead of one because we went directly back to the front desk to get a refund and they refunded us immediately.

The hotel is good, has several food places nearby, is easy to get in and out and with ample parking. However, the cleaning is not the best and for those who want to go to the USA to feel in the US, it would not be a More

This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in , if I could give it 0 stars i will . I stayed for 3 days and killed a roach every day I stayed, all together I killed 5!!!!!. The beds are rusty , rust on the lamps , phones don t work and it s a lot of extra things going outside of the hotel , do not check in this hotel it s not what it look like online .

What struck me immediately was how helpful the staff were. We were initially placed in the newly renovated building which was great, the bathroom and shower were especially nice. However we noticed there was no wifi, and more importantly the safe wasn't working so we called the front desk and they immediately arranged for us to see another room, which was more expensive and had a pool view. They moved our bags over and gave us the room, free of charge!

The concierge are very helpful for local transport, dining and attraction needs, they also sold I-Ride (trolly) tickets which makes travelling a breeze.

Pool area is great, lively and the amenities are clean.

The shuttle transport is wonderful, with Avanti being the first pick up location (which means lots of available seats) and the first drop off (perfect after a long day at the parks) - it doesn't take very long either.

This isn't a resort. Place should be called Avanti MOTEL. Damp & humid rooms with loud & outdated A/C units. I was in building 4 & my room partially faced the highway so I couldn't sleep at all since there's so much noise that enters through my window & door that need more sound proofing. You'll hear cars in addition to your neighbor entering & exiting their rooms. Will never stay here again even if it's for free.

Great Resort in downtown Orlando with a big outdoor pool and Bar will stay again when in Florida

My daughter and husband is coming there in a few days I book this resorts that can't wait to get there. It looks like fun

My personal experience with Avanti was disgusting. Unhygienic rooms and unkempt locale. Hotel rooms with sub par amenities is one thing and can be overlooked, but when hygiene and cleanliness is a factor, you're putting the health of your guests at jeopardy, and that's a BIG PROBLEM.

Dirty rags were refolded and left there with colorful stains. Lamps had large dark stains, dresser had red splatter marks on handles, fridge wasn't working and ruined our food, purple couch had white stains and a large wet spot, floor had large streaks coming from the couch being moved, and on and on. and that, by the way, was the upgrade. The 'Premium Executive King Suite' looked like what you might expect a dirty motel room to look like.

Front desk was very helpful and wrote down my complaint with ease and even provided breakfast vouchers. But for what I paid for, that wasn't enough to make up for house keeping's ability to clean rooms, or lack thereof.

Update: A full refund was provided, but what I'm taking note of is how professionally my case was handled and how respectful the management and front desk team at Avanti were towards my health concern. Ive bumped up the rating to 3 stars for their personal touch and professionalism. I'm also hoping that complaints like these capture the attention of management teams elsewhere in hopes that it will avoid incidents in the future.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Sheets smelled like sweat. Towels were stained and smelled. Bathroom had disgusting smudges on wall. Who knows what it was. Floors were dirty. Stains on the curtains. YUCK. NEVER AGAIN. Does not deserve its ratings. Didn t stay the whole reservation. Booked with a different hotel for the remainder of my stay.

Stayed here twice now. Great pool area, wasn't sure initially about the external corridors but turned out to be fine. Rooms look recently modernised

We had once gone to see a friend who was staying at the Avanti. Both me and my husband loved the resort. We may live 30 min from orlando but we enjoy getting away from from home. Love the pool. Great water temperature.

Comfort and location with fair price.
Good option for anyone visiting the Universal Studio park.

This was the worst check in experience and the room was just as bad. Room had lights flickering and smelled bad. Beds were stained and uncomfortable. Rooms looked nothing like the clean nice images online. No pool towels. Check in process took waiting in line for an hour and that is 3 hrs after check in time.

Franklin was very friendly and helpful. We stay here all the time and he made sure we had a great view and easy access for our 2 year old.

What a great place to stay! Goes beyond what you think you get when you look at the price. Hotels like this really make you think on whether it's worth it to spend another 100 bucks on a name brand hotel. Will definitely stay again

Stayed here for last 2 years. Soon to make it 3 years in a row. Fantastic location with great amenities. One or 2 of the staff were clowns especially after a long drive back from Tampa to find they had locked.me out of my room due to an error by one of them. Obviously not their fault though. Hope I don't have to deal with these 2 when I return next year

Arrived at the hotel and there was a line going out the door. Assumed that there was just gonna be a little late, but no I looked up and saw everyone in the line so frustrated I asked what was going on they told me that they had been waiting in the line for almost 4 hours. We were tired ready to get into our rooms not knowing that there was going to be almost a five hour wait the workers weren t Intending to anyone at all. They were double booking rooms and almost 100 people didn t even end up having a room who reserved months ago. They blamed it on a software issue & left us stranded in Florida. We were forced to go walk and find another hotel and pay almost $500 a night by the time I left Avanti it was 2 AM and I arrived there at 10 to check in to my room. I waited just about four hours to end up not even getting a room at the hotel I reserved 6 months ago. I am warning you now never book this hotel, they will surprise you and mess up your whole weekend. We came back the next day to get a refund and they were not trying to give us one, overall the worst weekend of my life. Will never stay here ever again in my life!

I went to celebrate me and my sisters birthday. It was awesome. The only reason im not getting it a 5 star rating bc a kid threw up in the pool and that is just disgusting.

Nice hotel! Only stayed overnight but it was a nice experience.

I made a reservation through a third party site. When we checked in they charged me additional fees that were beyond the resort fees mentioned on the site. It is in no way a resort or resemblance of one, those are baseless fees they charge. It is an old hotel that they painted and put a couple of new furnishings. The Barista (coffee place) they have in the lobby is disgusting. The girl had an attitude, the coffee was horrible, and there was a fly in the pastry bin. The bed is on what seems a tin platform and very noisy if you move while sleeping. Bottom line: you get what you pay for. Never again!

Please stay away from this place... people screaming at 2:00am the first night second night the same... no body cleaned our room in 4 days, no fresh towels, trash cans full, very poor service.

Good hotel. Great location for Universal and Sea world. Not luxury but a great base for iDrive.
We had one of the referbished rooms.
Would recommend avoiding ground floor accommodation.

Nice...did came back at 4 PM and did not have maid service yet.

Checked in to find clumps of hair, a dirty towel, and urine on the back of the door in the bathroom. When I went to the front desk to have them address the issues. I was assured they would be fixed that day. After THREE days of no results and even speaking with One of the managers, who was nice at first but became snippy on our third meeting, all of our issues were resolved... EXCEPT the urine... which was by far the most important. Though we were assured that the manager we spoke to had a stern talk with the house keeping staff, all efforts fall short if a room can t be cleaned for paying customers. To be fair they did wave my $52 resort fee but I d much rather have paid the full amount and had a clean room. That was the last time Avanti sees me.

Nice customer service, great amenities, close to many attractions. Great room, clean and very spacious (everything works).

This place was amazing we visited for a tour for our upcoming SLC86 Unleashing Greatness Conference in April 2021 and the guest relations group was amazing. Very helpful and friendly. Extremely clean and nice facility. Can't wait to be back in April.

I had a blast , the staff at the front desk was very informative and polite. Housekeeping did a marvelous job at keeping the room spotless. The restaurant employees were amazingly speedy and precise with my orders. I had the most splendid time at the resort I will most definitely be back soon.

Quiet, professional hotel. Nothing out of the ordinary.

The Avanti resort is fairly inexpensive and standard as far as rooms go, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. I was able to check into my room long before the check-in time after I caught an early flight. I would room with them again if I needed to.

By far the WORST stay in my entire traveling experiences. I have traveled all over the United States and over seas. Not one day went by that Ididnt have to complain about something, housekeeping, guest services, etc. Nothing in our room worked. We had to have the handy man come fix every issue multiple times. NEVER STAY at the resort. It is filthy and and I have never had to deal with such unprofessional uneducated people in my life, including what the call management! I regret ever booking a reservation. I am repulsed.

It wasn't too bad. The rooms were nice and the pool area was okay but very small. Customer service was very good. I just wish there was more to do there. The kiddy area is very small.
