My Mom was sent to the horrible place when she should have remained in the hospital due to kidney failure. They did not listen to her and acted like she wasn't even present during her "treatments". Her foot got caught in the wheel chair and when she told them it was caught they kept yanking on her until the chair cut her foot and then they dropped her to the floor. The cut required stitches!!! The room was always cold, the food was always cold and there were times when they "forgot" to feed her.
NEVER send any loved one to this place. They ignored her medical file and told me she was going to be alright. We didn't find out about the kidney failure until she wound up back in the hospital after three weeks of torture only to die mere days later. My heart is broken

Disappointed with the level of professionalism I received from Avalon staff when I interviewed for a position here. Hiring manager was so busy/disorganized that he bluntly told me he would probably forget to send me an interview confirmation email and it would be my responsibility to follow up with him to get the email. When I arrived for the interview, the receptionist was using her personal phone and didn't even notice I was waiting -- this is a building which houses sensitive data. During the interview as I was describing my background, the manager seemed surprised I didn't have the experience he was looking for-- why did he invite me for an interview? Overall it was a waste of my time and not impressed with Avalon at all. This is my personal experience and not intended to be a representation of the company as a whole.

Employees are rude, no maintenance services, employees throw cigarettes, packaging, beer cans and bottles into my yard. Today someone ran into their fence and they refuse to repair it. I have had wheelchair bound patients bef for help as they were left outside.

this review deals with the parent company, Avalon Healthcare. They outsource medical providers (doctors-PA's) and 2 have 'treated' my wife. The PA-M. Brandon Phipps ordered/administered (per the insurance records) over a dozen unwanted and unnecessary vaccinations within a 4 month span. In Nov 2020 I advised the facility administrator that Mr. Phipps would no longer be permitted to treat my wife-yet he continued to do so. On Dec 3 2020 she signed a notarized statement prohibiting vaccinations to be administered yet we continue to see them. Avalon was told Mr. Phipps was not authorized or allowed to treat her yet they continue to let him. This is all documented in the insurance records. Caveat Emptor with Avalon

This is a review for Hale Nani Rehab and Nursing Center. I was sent here for rehab since it was funded by the VA. I am a bit younger than the majority of the guests here at Hale Nani so I was able to see some of the maltreatment by the nurses here. Many occasions I witnessed nurses yelling at elderly patients because they were not doing what the nurses wanted. This was mainly due to the elderly folks not hearing, or in some cases they spoke something else (Japanese) for the first language rather than english. There are a few good employees (Ben in Wound Care, Rochelle in PT) but most are just there to earn a paycheck and dont care about the folks there. The admin folks are also terrible. Normally upon check in, patients are assigned a wheel chair- I was not assigned one until week 6 of my 8 week stay. When it was time to leave, because they didnt know who to coordinate with at VA, I was almost left crawling out of the facility. Bottom line here, do NOT let anyone you care about be put under these folks care. And for VA, there needs to be an immediate IG on these people. 18 people getting Covid-19 does not surprise me in the least, as a matter of fact I was expecting it.

This has to be one of the worst facilities. My brother was in involved in a major car accident. Has an Osteo bag with an open vac wound. The staff did not change his dressings properly. Was left without his Osteo bag overnight. Was male nourished, his health and care was declining. The staff were lazy not very caring not even helpful. We were there on a daily basis, to witbesd. If you have a loved one in this facility. I advise to take a closer look on how they are treated and there protocol at this facility. Two thumbs down by far....
