This company is designed for gaining training and experience that you can express on paper to your next employer that hopefully can provide more stability and professionalism. I worked for this company for over five years; unfortunately you may get attached to the nature of your work and the bond with children you may work with during key developmental years.
This company will punish you for showing any care for your client or student. They will make excuses and take advantage of their own system for pay raises and attendance benefits. Its a very unprofessional and toxic environment in the office. If you have any issues with staff such as harassment, unprofessionalism, or management falsifying student documents, they will find a way to get rid of you rather than change the behavior of their people. It seems that they are all friends in the office including HR. There is no third party to contact if you ever feel you need support or help in any wrong doing on their part. You may experience many minor or significant injuries on the job and ASI does not provide convenient worker s compensation benefits as well as will try to fight you on ca sick leave hour rights. They are always seeking benefits for themselves and when the company announces advancement it is most commonly regarding the office staff and more recognition for them (birthday parties, provided office snacks etc.).
They don t express gratitude towards interventionists that carry this company. The office is a mess and they will often get you confused with others and give out confidential information. They will make you go through hoops to help you with your needs. If I had a special needs child or friend with one, I would be embarrassed to recommend the services from this agency. This agency single handedly made me change my career path because they have highlighted the dark side and sadness of this field. Go in with a cold heart.
