FIRST & SECOND WORLD WAR MUSEUM , V GOOD, MUST SEE. GOOD COLLECTION.
Very well done and educational exhibits. WW1 section very moving.
A must see for anyone in the Canberra area. No words can really describe the awesomeness of this place. Stay for the Last Post ceremony of possible.
A must for everyone visiting Canberra. On many levels it shows the history, the horrors of war and the sacrifices that so many young people of all nationalities have made.
It will take at least 2-3 hours to explore it fully.
What a fabulous memorial to our war dead.So respectful, well organized, helpful guides.
Must visit place , the weapons and artefacts are hard to find and does a great story telling
A definite must-see, deserved a tribute to the fallen in battle
What an amazing place. Theres no point in me writing about it, you just need to go and look for yourself. Try and do it over 2 days, theres enough for that.
Great place to visit to learn about the history and to remember those who gave their lives so we can live ours now.
Also quite interactive for kids.
Very friendly place and lots to thinks to look at and learn
An aboslute must see when in Canberra, by far the best war memorial in the country. A lot of information about WW1, WW2 and the Afganistan war. Amazing model representations of warzones. Tons of history and information. You really need a day to go through it all. They print out information on any soldier on the roll of honour.
Free entry, a lot of display from ww1 and ww2. Free tour
Quite nice place , try to come at 10:00am to watch the soldiers when they're opening this place .
Booked ahead with COVID arrangements and they had processes sorted. Anzac gallery has large planes, subs, and multimedia screens so it was the perfect 50 min timed ticket for visiting with kids (aged 3-8). The video presentations were engaging with surround lighting and sound, and not too scary for kids if you talked them through it. Great to see uniforms, medals and original air craft and a very special opportunity to understand thier great-Grandfathers war service. Would highly recommend on your visit to Canberra with kids.
You couldnt visit this place too much, always something to see and do
Excellent place to visit. So clean and tidy. Staff hospitality is good
The Australian War Memorial is one of my most favourite places to visit! Each and every time I am there I am overcome with emotions of respect and gratitude. It has a very well designed museum with exceptionally knowledgeable staff and the tours are absolutely amazing!! The walls of honour and the tomb of the unknown soldier are very solemn and reminding. A must visit!
