One of the most important qualities that a Doctor should have is compassion and duty of care. When I used to go to my doctor back in Cambridge UK 1978 my GP used to be more interested in my well being and would follow up the day after my visit to see if I was ok. Quit the contrast to the Specialists in Brisbane. When I was admitted to Wesley Hospital for surgery the specialist and the anesthetist interest was what I did for a living!!!??? They were qualifying me so that they would charge me accordingly. Anyhow I payed the anesthetist $1500 over and above Medbank Private and the specialist charged me $1950 over. To me the Australian Doctors are interested in money more than their patients
