This has to be the worst place to deliver anything to. These people deliberately hold the truck drivers here waiting to be unloaded. I arrived here at 2 p.m., and it is now 9:31 p.m. and I have yet to be unloaded. I am so glad I am an owner operator, because I will not be back to this place. The guard shack and the dock hands have serious attitudes! It's pathetic that the company has no better control over the loading/unloading area than this. As an owner operator, we do not have time to devote to sitting at one company for an entire work day.
I've been happier and unhappier picking up at other places. My 7:30-8:30 PM dispatched load time turned into a time on the BOL when I was finished of 11:23 PM. They can handle about 4 or 5 trucks more than what's in the door with a little waiting area. Got to use PPE there, and they can lend you most of it at the guard shack. People were friendly or it would have been lower than 3 stars. Use your own judgement about how early to go to load there. Luckily, I was only going straight to Atlanta, and reached my delivery a little over 2 hours later than they wanted it because it took so long to get to a door and get loaded with paper rolls. Entrance is off the side street, then T/R and pull up to stop sign before guard shack with your 4 digit pickup number.
Recycling side takes forever to unload trucks. Plan for a 10hr break while you are here.
