Had a 10:40 appt with Damien. He started helping someone else right before me and I had to wait for almost 20 minutes for another service tech to help me. Also, while waiting in the waiting room, I was surprised and very uncomfortable at the number of Audi San Diego employees walking around with out masks or wearing the masks under their nose or under their chin. I was forced to wait outside because of an obvious very lax policy at Audi San Diego.

Sergey was incredibly patient to help me find the best combination of features and finally the perfect car that i now LOVE and felt great about taking home. I went to 3 other dealers that day (Acura, Lexus, BMW) and had the best experience here and felt my business was the most important to Audi. Not to mention, the 2018 Audi A3 was my absolute favorite car I saw all day! Thank you Sergey!!!

I just moved here from out of state, and there was an issue with my car when I arrived. I called Audi San Diego multiple times during business hours where no one answered the phone and it rang incessantly. I left a message in both the service department and another department, both of which never answered multiple days when I called, and they said they'd return the call the next business day and did not. I finally spoke with someone on day 3 of calling (I didn't even catch his name) who took my information and said a technician would call me right back, and its been a week and no one has returned my messages or calls. Im just happy something wasn't seriously wrong with my car waiting for this dealership to call back. I seriously advise you drive the extra few miles and drive to Carlsbad Audi who has been nothing but amazing helping with my issues, getting me an appointment the next day, and offering great hospitality. As someone from across the country just moving here, this left a very bad taste and I will not be returning.

Amazing service. Alex Sovran sold me my dream car. He was accommodating, patient, and most importantly, informative. I had been to other dealerships looking at the same model and others couldn t give me any details about the car s features. I really appreciated that Alex was very familiar with ALL the features of the car.
I brought the car in for a service and Joe was also kind and informative. He explained everything to me and kept me in the loop with details of how my car was coming along. I love this dealership and they are very accommodating.

Anthony Picozzi was extremely helpful with everything in getting my Allroad Wagon. He patiently tracked down the exact vehicle I wanted, and was very professional throughout the whole process. I've had BMW's for the past 21 years, but switched to Audi because I wanted to stay in a wagon, plus the customer service I had been receiving was progressively getting worse over the past few years. Having someone like Anthony to work with was a great experience. I will certainly be buying more vehicles from Audi San Diego.

Customer service at this dealership is terrible. I had brought my Audi A4 in for service months ago and was overcharged for simple windshield wiper blades by my service advisor, George Gushulak (very disrespectful), and received little help regarding assistance in this matter, even after speaking with the manager. I have also called several times to the parts department regarding a battery and the person who answered the phone was very rude. The next A8L that I purchase will not be from this dealership whatsoever!!

George was very good at keeping me updated on the status of my repairs. Only additional thing I would recommend is if the original estimated repair time is 2 days, an update on the 2nd day would be helpful to let me know repairs are still ongoing. The next update I received was 5 days later when repairs were complete. I had extensive work and my car was ready for pick up on the 5th day.

Usually you dread going anywhere near a dealer (especially if you're a female by yourself). Absolutely love this place, and it's not just because of the cars. Randall was awesome and I drove home in a new car super happy; never felt like I was being sold. Best time is now to get a new car!

NOT SO GOOD - SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT AUDI SAN DIEGO

Went for regular service at 55k, initial quote was approx. $700, final invoice $1,446 .
Labor cost charged was $779 ($190 per hour), but I arrived at Audi SD at 10:54 and left at 13:24 the same day (that includes waiting time at the desk, talking to the service advisor, paying, car wash etc ), so labor should have been approx.. 2 hours, therefore $380 and not $779, so that is a $399 rip-off.
I complained several times to the manager, Mark Monell, but so far nothing happened.
I recommend anyone going to Audi SD for service to check carefully all invoices/receipts, as I suspect they would overcharge not only labor, but also parts.

Audi hires some really good employees. The service is amazing from start to finish.

Mario Chabayta was simply wonderful. He made me feel very comfortable and explained all of my options in a very easy to understand way. I felt like he was looking out for my best interest which I appreciated.

Raul (the Audi technology "how to") associate was so great as well. He's very friendly, knowledgeable and explains things in an easy way. Thank you Mario & Raul!

To service or not to service

To service or not to service

I brought my 2010 Q5 in yesterday to get it serviced in response to a low oil light. After the 52 point inspection, I was informed that not only did I need a $500 part to fix the issue, but also need front breaks and tires (which I knew were both near the end of their useful life). The total bill to fix came out to $2400.

I talked to my wife and let her know what we were facing, and she came up with the idea to have sales come over and appraise the car for trade in. Long story short, after a bit of negotiating, Joe found us a 2014 Q5 that was a bit above what I wanted to pay; as I wanted to keep my monthly about the same as it was for the 2010 Q5. I told Joe thanks, but no thanks, and started to call back service to authorize the work.

10 minutes later, Joe called back with some very attractive options, so I went down to the dealership to check it out. Joe had come up with a loaded Q5 TDI (exactly what I was looking for) for about the same monthly I was paying on the 2010 car.

So, while I had absolutely no intention of getting a new car yesterday, I walked out without a $2400 service bill, and a brand new Q5 to boot! Gotta love it when a dealer is willing to significantly discount a car, and listen to the customer's wants without hassle or haggling. Great job Joe!

Zac was easy to work with and took great time and care to answer my questions. The extensive technology advances since my previous Audi (2014) were clearly explained and demonstrated. He went to great lengths to secure (from Fremont) the precise colorand trim level I wanted. I have purchased at least 20 cars in my lifetime - this was one of the easiest and most satisfying.

Ummm - can sleazy used car salesman? That's the service you'll get at this dealership.

They throw in a "VIP" service, where they will come and pick up and drop off your car when it needs to be serviced. However, this additional feature (which is not free) is at their own discretion.

Today, after waiting 2 weeks for a scheduled service appointment, I get a text saying that my vehicle is not in "range" for them to pick up. They didn't even have the courtesy to call me. Just a simple text.

I called to speak to the service manger Russ a few times today, he didn t even have the decency to take or return my call.

I m in business . Even when I m in meetings back to back, I have a few minutes in between to return calls.

Bad service. WORSE CAR. I should have gone w. a Tesla. Theres a reason why they re the #1 selling electric car.

When I made my 8:30AM appointment, I was told that...

When I made my 8:30AM appointment, I was told that a loaner would be available. When I arrived, my consultant, Manny, filled out the paperwork and asked me to wait while a loaner was provided. I waited 30 min and asked what's the delay. Was told I was third on the list and I should wait a little longer. Another hour went by and I was still third on the list. I called my wife to pick me up. I left the dealership after a two hour delay. Three hours later a loaner became available, which I no longer needed, and I was asked if I wanted it. I explained the unreasonable wait and was told that all consultants were notified that loaners would not be available and my consultant apparently did not read her message.
When my car was fixed, I told my consultant that I would pick my car up in 90 min. When I arrived, my car was no where to be found. A full 30 min later, my car appears and I ask about the delay. Was told that dealership was short staffed.
A VERY frustrating experience. Almost enough to drive me back to Mercedes for my next car.

My daughter had a water pump leak. I called Audi to see if my car was still under warranty. I spoke with Nacho and asked him several times and he wouldn't tell me; he said I had to bring the car in for a review. This morning I went to the Audi dealership and spoke to a service person; he said for $200 he would do a thorough check of my car. It turns out that my warranty lapsed 3 mos ago. Why wouldn't Nacho tell me that on the phone? I know many service dealerships can be sleazy, but I always thought that Audi was above that. I will tell all my friends and family not to frequent Audi San Diego until they move to a more customer-centric dealership. Don't know what that is? Look it up!

Don't bother going to this place. This place totally works on commission and looks to rip off customers. They are least bothered about how the customer feels,
They start giving you an offer and back-track pointing to different people at different times.

Thanks to the awesome mechanics who serviced my car and to Jerald for the great customer service.

Great gar buying experience!
Every at Audi San Diego was so friendly and great to work with! We worked with Robert and he didn't beat around the bush we said what we wanted and he helped us to find an exact car match as well as get us to our price we wanted very quickly. We were in and out and it was great. This is our first Audi and definitely think we found a new car family for a long time! Plus LOVE our beautiful new q3!

This rating is for the service center. The employees are helpful, show concern and communicate with their customers. You can get a complimentary ride share and or loaner vehicle depending on the day and or circumstances. Audi's are also great vehicles, if you don't mind paying outrageous scheduled maintenance cost, and ten times the average repair cost. Also of note. I don't know if this is because of Covid or not but there seemed to be a strong steady stream of vehicles that needed maintenance and repair. I mean hundreds, therefore wait times are at their highest. One last note. Stay away from the Hybrid or High Voltage battery models. There are a limited number of qualified mechanics that can work on the vehicles and maintenance and repair cost are a premium.

My wife and I gave this recent service experience ...

My wife and I gave this recent service experience serious reflection prior to writing this review. We are not complainers and we do not take joy in sharing this negative experience. What you are about to read is a real and is the reflective of how Audi San Diego treated this customer.

Over the years my wife and I have purchased many new vehicles be they from from Ford, Chrysler (both Jeep and Chrysler products) and a Chevrolet truck which we still own. We can say with 100% certainty, this was the worst service experience we have ever had at any dealership regardless the brand.

The one to two day repair turned into four (Tuesday - Saturday). Phone inquiries were dropped at least 3 times. We received no response to an email message to Service Manager Russ Schwartzman. When we were fortunate enough to speak with a live Audi San Diego employee leaving a message with that employee was, apparently, pointless as service advisor Matt Gastelum contacted us the following day to inform us he had had the prior day off. We took this for what it was, a transparent attempt to excuse Audi San Diego s failures. Seriously, shouldn t the Audi San Diego employee who took the message have known Matt wasn t in the day before? We believe he should.

My wife and I are longtime Audi owners. We purchased our first Audi at the now defunct Metro Audi in San Diego. We paid a lot for the 2019 A6 we purchased at Audi San Diego last August, at least 2x that which we paid for our Chevrolet truck. And we can say unequivocally, we have never had such a negative experience and have never been this disappointed in Audi San Diego since, in 2008, we picked up our 2005 A6 only to discover a large dent in the driver door, damage that Audi San Diego admitted to causing and damage Audi San Diego paid to fix, causing you to keep our A6 an additional five days to repair.

Our recent visit to Audi San Diego was simple; we needed you to attend a recall issue and to update the vehicle's software. These are simple tasks, but Audi San Diego failed and you failed miserably. We only hope this review finds its way to Audi USA so they know what poor level of service you are providing to Audi customers.

Jerald Camacho (my service consultant) is an excellent communicator. I found his text messages including updates and easy to understand details from the technician especially helpful. His friendly personality is perfect for helping customers dealing with service issues and the financial stress that sometimes comes with this. His familiarity and mechanical knowledge of my car made me feel confident I brought the car to the right place. Thank you!

Great service! I have been here on two occasions and I have been assisted by Ms. Erin both times. She was very professional and attentive; providing top notch service with a smile. I even had some unusual requests for information and she was very diligent getting me answers. I'm very pleased with the service I received from Erin and will keep coming to this location to be serviced only by her.

I was advised by Manny too. That person added things on the record above what the mechanic said. Even added that my vehicle needed to be towed. He also told me tha the thread on my tires was on the lowest red thread according to their chart (thread green, yellow, red) and that I needed new tires. Was he out of his mind? I look at my entire vehicle, including tires, every time I get on/off it. I will take my car to my tire guys on Monday and get an assessment to show it to Audi's manager. Looking at their chart, my tires are somewhere in between green and yellow.

Even the mechanic that worked on my car did not said those things. Manny had not even looked at the car and the mechanic did not day that. Watch out for this agent. My recommendation, if Manny serves you, feel free to second guess him. If you feel he is fluffing it; he probably is. Please!! Immediately get a second opinion; or request to talk with the mechanic directly as I did. A costumer service agent needs to know it's place. A costumer service agent is not the mechanic! In my experience he will add his personal opinion to a record. Just slinging without even looking at facts. Totally unprofessional response from Manny.

Dealer manager, please contact me. How can I get 5 star service from Erin and 1 star self-served, fluffed service from Manny?

Anthony Picozzi helped my family out with 2 Audi p...

Anthony Picozzi helped my family out with 2 Audi purchases recently and we couldn't be happier with the service and with the cars! He really took his time to make sure that we selected the right cars for us. Anthony was very patient with my initial indecisiveness (I had a hard time deciding on interior color) and he just wanted to make sure I got into a vehicle that I was satisfied with. Needless to say the third car I selected was a charm and I am happy with the Black on Black color combo.

A few months later my parents were searching for another Audi A6 and were very particular about purchasing a glacier white metallic one. I texted Anthony and told him I wanted to check out a car on their behalf and he met me at the dealership on his day off. The car was better than I expected and I called my parents and they drove up and purchased the car that same evening. They are very happy with the A6 and really appreciate Anthony for his service and expertise during and after the sale!

Also, thank you to George who has helped service many of our Audis over the years.

Thank you!

This review is for an experience I had here a few months ago. I would NEVER return or recommend this dealership to anyone I know. I went in with my dad to check out some SUVs and was approached by this kid salesman who didn t know anything about their offerings, was incredibly rude and incompetent and spoke really aggressively to my dad without merit. My dad asked him to show us around politely and this kid somehow got offended and tried to fight. My dad and I promptly turned around and walked right out of there as the kid yells please come back! I d like to make things right! . This dealership should be embarrassed that they hire these kinds of unprofessional people. No wonder car salesmen have such a bad rep. We drove straight to the other dealerships nearby and were treated normally there.

We are the original owners of a 2006 Audi A4 Avant that we have had serviced at Audi San Diego twice. I have to say that I can't recommend the service team here, we have had ongoing issues with the windows in our Audi and the dealership did fix them but to have 3 windows fail with no support from Audi or the dealership simply isn't acceptable. After they repaired the last window it failed again in 2 days and when I called they wouldn't even get me in for service that day to see why their "repair" had failed. The service techs are nice but I don't feel the mechanics did a good job.

We've had issues with the car for the entire life of the Audi and after owning Porsche, Mercedes, and BMW, Audi ranks last in my book. I certainly wouldn't purchase another one.

I've been bringing my car in to this dealership si...

I've been bringing my car in to this dealership since 2005, and this was the first time I did NOT get excellent service. After trying to get an appointment and loaner on a Friday in the morning, as I need to be at work by 8am, I was asked to schedule for the following Tuesday, which I did, as loaner cars were not available on Friday. I was told that Audi had changed something about loaner cars.
Then I get a call on Monday night saying again they don't have any loaner cars (that they were all out), and could I reschedule for Friday. I pressed the girl as to why Friday would be any different in the amount of cars available than Tuesday. The young lady on the phone checked with someone and said they would have a car for me, so I changed time again. Then, when I check in on Friday, that person says all the cars are out but they were expecting some in soon, but the wait would be at least 45 minutes! All this after I'd been moved several times and told that a car would be available. After complaining that I'd already been re-scheduled several times and told that a car would be available, she found me a car.
I must say this was not the top notch service that I've come to expect from this dealership.
