We visited the Army training center to attend our grandsons passing on parade after basic training. A really great day out.
Was here 1977 when it was the Guards depot, truly insane times
Brilliant day at my son's passing out parade, thank you so much to everyone involved.
Over 35 years since I was last here and there s a great atmosphere about with young people becoming soldiers. Very proud to attend a passing out parade and I m proud that Pirbright gives our soldiers such a great start in becoming the best.
Great training facility for new recruits. Out standing place
I went to see my nephews passing out parade today. What a joy to see, lovely to see. Extremely proud.
Hi son just had 14 weeks there went in as a boy come out as a man I'm really proud of him
Having 2 sons now passing out from atc pirbright we are proud parents
Passed out in 93 as a crunchie. Stagging on with a pick elf then stress positions in the guardroom. Great times
Crazy days at the depot ibasic TRG nearly killed me hard times , it made me the phycopath iam today
Be grey and blend in. Free WiFi in officers mess car park
If you want to get shouted at by scary men and scarier women, wake up before you go to bed, run a mile for breakfast and generally get manhandled and mistreated, this is the place to go!
Had a great time. The staff were strict but friendly. Everything went great until the very last Dr's exam. The medical department has been nothing but a thorn in my side. Other than that. It was great. Clean. Food was good. Can't wait to get back there !
An actually in training at ATC Pirbright and it's fantastic and challenging but am still enjoying it.
Cool calm serene surroundings with wildlife sightings traditional English canal locks!
An excellent place I watched my son in his passing off parade
Went to my grandsons passing out parade. We were made very welcome. The weather was terrible but we had a great day. The staff were brilliant.
Down last week for my sons family day loved it . Back down next month for passing out can't wait
Turns you from a teen strait to a man with the best training for becoming a Scots guardsman.
Love the Army training camp enjoy my self my late husband was a soldier my cousin Neville Pusey is in the Army training camp
Brilliant staff in the training section, a Starbucks cafe, and lots more!
Very good experience and very friendly and nice staff
Brilliant day watching our daughter passing out from phase 1 training
Army barracks. One step son and one step daughter passed through. Both tired but happy.
I joined in January 1999 when the BBC was filming a programme called Soldiers to be. Such wonderful and sad times here. I look back now and wish I could re-inlist and enjoy all them memories again. It would be nice to visit and walk down memory lane. I joined the Irish Guards and started my training here. Anyone that joins the army you are set for life. Ths army is your new family and you will meet brothers and sisters from all walks of life. Most happiest moment of anyone's life.
Lest we forget o7
As you would expect it. Clean, well organised and welcoming.
If you or yours had anything to do with this place you'll know how awesome it is
Lovely scenery, great place for walking running n cycling
Attended Sons Pass of Parade. Sincerely Proud Day. Staff were Friendly and Absolutely Marvellous, Barracks itself was Impressive and Immaculate. A DAY WE WILL REMEMBER NOT ONLY FOR THE PROUD DAY IT WAS, BUT THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO CONTRIBUTED TO MAKING IT A MEMORABLE, BEAUTIFUL, ENJOYABLE DAY.!!! MOST IMPORTANTLY FOR THE POIGNANT MEMORIES YOU GAVE US ALL.!!ALWAYS BEHIND THEM!!!! !Thank You.!!
Great fun be aware if u got Caribbean background u will not be able to do fitness u will complete everything else so that's out the way and talk to interviewer at end but the test u will be sent home wait for a call to get blood test then gotta wait to go back which I found ridiculous as this could have been sorted way before u go there instead of wasting time up nd down apart from that it was amazing met lovely people all different backgrounds nd had a right laugh
Through those gates is the start of a career in the army and joining a close family. If you are sent here for training, you will leave a stronger person both physically and mentally. And after the pass out parade when you hear the words "to your families, fall out" it makes those 14 weeks worth it seeing the pride in the faces of the familes. Welcome to the Armed forces.
Amazing absolutely love Pirbright or also know as Burnswick Camp
Saw my good friend passing out Parade. Staff helpful and we'll trained! Shame about the other visitors
