Part of what makes a trip to Martha's Vineyard soo great. Wonderful dining experience. Forrest was an extremely attentive waiter and very well versed in their selection of wines. Great cocktails as well. IF YOU'RE LUCKY, YOU MIGHT CATCH Amanda and the Sultans Band on a Friday or Sunday night.

Clean, attractive,great views, nice menu variety,decent service but a slow kitchen...50" to get the entree. Amish roasted chicken and clam flat bread were very good. Drinks are good but pricey at $13.

The calamari has a great batter, so tasty no need for the sauce on the side. For entree I had the lobster and cranberry salad with a strawberry vinaigrette. Absolutely fantastic, so filling and light and delicious when you have over indulged in great island burgers and lobster rolls! Come dresse for an evening out or in flip flops, everyone is welcome. Staff was also attentive and friendly! I will definitely have to come back once more before leaving just for the salad!
One of my favorite restaurants on the Vineyard! I always look forward to visiting it every summer. AMAZING food and service! Plus great location!

The experince was just okay. Yes they are on the downtown habor with awsome views of the habor. The food was somewhat overpriced, but decent. My tuna was good but came with no sides. My dad got a Kobe Burger asked for it medium but it so rare that half the bun was covered in red burger jucies. 3 hours later my dad got stomach pain and worse. I think the atmospher is just okay but with price there are comparable views at less expensice prices. Also, the kitchen will not substitute food. I wanted chili without the rice and they said no. Any good kitchen should be able to handle that espcially this early in the season.
My girlfriend and I went on a date here. The food was absolutely phenomenal, everyone working was highly professional. Our water cups were constantly refilled and when the food took a little but longer, the waitress offered us a free desert. Honestly the wait wasn't even that long. Super romantic spot and high class service. I would recommend this place to everyone

My family loved this restaurant. The grilled oysters were incredible. Fish was perfectly prepared. We would definitely go back.

Service was very good, food was delicious although pricey. We ordered a squid ink pasta with mussels and loved it.
Last summer, we went MV specifically to eat here, however we had the misfortune of meeting the manager at reception who informed us that he didn't have a table for 5 (1child) although the restaurant was less than half full. I have never run into such a major a-hole who for some reason is interacting with the public. I wrote to management at Atlantic but never got a response. STAY AWAY!
Fortunately, we made a good decision by eating at the Seafood Shanty nearby where both the food and service were outstanding.
The restaurant is located in a very nice spot of the town, probably one of the best, for sure the most elegant.
Ambience is very nice and the terraces are really elegant. Table are comfortable and also the tables for two can accommodate the guests with enough comfort.
Food is consistency good, with prime ingredients.
The menu is different for lunch and dinner and to be honest, it's not the typical one you would aspect as, it's a little limited.
For meet lover the restaurant is one of the few to offer certified Angus meat.

Stopped in for lunch, had a few drinks KS and shared three appetizers. Price was reasonable and appetizers were on the larger size, so good for sharing. Food was fresh and service attentive.

Nice menu selection with great food. Had lunch with friends, the snow crab guacamole was awsome, beet salad was fabulous and the swordfish was cooked to perfection. Service was polite and prompt, great place to enjoy the afternoon. We will be back.

Great views on the porch. Glacial service this summer even when not busy (minus one star compared to past seasons) but who cares just enjoy the air. Bar scene is funny. Mix of party teens & grads, try hard & very twee Raya dates, various families just trying to chill plus cougars and the 85 year olds who love them. Sometimes idiotic and annoying when it spills over into your meal @ peak times but generally harmless..."Scarlet" holds court & will ignore your wedding ring so just have your wife give her cell # out instead & enjoy the text parade and etc etc. Pack a sense of humour! Wow

Consistently good food, well prepared and curbside/takeout was well executed.
Was at Atlantic a couple time this Memorial Day weekend and will never return again. The food is absolute garbage, undercooked, overcooked, overpriced and the service/waitstaff have an attitude. The cook, errr CHEF does not accept substitutions. There are too many other good resturants in Downtown Edgartown to go to. Don't waste your time and money at the Atlantic!!
Food and scenery is picture perfect! We sat outside, right near the docks, which made for a great backdrop as the sun began to set. If you're looking for COVID safe dining, this is the right place as there are a number of seating options both indoor and out. Food and cocktails menu is varied - there's something for everyone - and the staff is friendly and accommodating.
The male host was incredibly rude. We came an hour earlier than we were hoping to eat with a party of 10. He refused to put us on the list. We showed up an hour later and he said it was a two hour wait. He said it with a condescending smirk. It's shocking that a place that allows that kind of behavior is still in business.
The Atlantic is undoubtedly one of the most enjoyable dining experiences you will have on the vineyard. The ambience, the service and wonderful blend of classic food with a unique and tasteful touch creates a dining experience you will to enjoy as I did. Don t leave the island without stopping at the Atlantic for lunch or dinner!
One of the worst meal experiences we had in North America during the summer. We had had to send two steaks back twice because they were very over cooked, we had to wait a long time for our food and we also had to send back a meal for being too salty. Apparently it was the main chef s day off! But that is unacceptable as an excuse for an established restaurant. To be avoided.

The Atlantic has such a great view and if it's your first time on island, I always recommend this for lunch. For the seafood lovers - order the lobster macaroni and cheese, it is hands down my favorite on island! For the vegetarians, order the tomato bisque and grilled cheese (a steal at $11) I have been having this soup for EIGHT years straight and the recipe is consistently the same and so good! For the vegans - get the Impossible Burger on a salad (no cheese no bun) and you'll love it! The hosts are the nicest ever, the staff comes back every year so it's like seeing family and overall the ambiance is what you want for a lunch on island!

Any establishment that pays its workers slave wages just because they are from another country, deserves to go out of business. Locals won't accept your job under 15$usd yet you enjoy paying slave wages of less than that to foreigners. It is your right to do so, but it is also my right not to eat at your establishment.
Went for lunch and everyone enjoyed their meal. Very tasty food and quick service. Got a great table on the deck, if we were put on the side I would have not been as stoked but still good. Tuna tartar was loved by all as was the lobster mac a cheese. (I would recommend splitting that dish with the table because it is extremely rich.)
Decent but not exceptional or unique food, extremely over priced, and hit or miss service. Generally feels like a pretentious experience, and they treat you like that when you're there.
Well visited Edgar town with the wife we both had the lobster salad it was on par with bait And I fish for a living. We went to Larson's the night before highly recommended for the price ten times better.

Our party of seven visited The Atlantic for after dinner drinks and lounged by the fires on the back deck with views of the Yachts on the dock. The quiet vibe outside was lovely and it livened up a little later with a DJ and dance floor inside. Our server Zora and the restaurant managers made our experience top notch.
We visited at the very start of the "off season" in September, so the atmosphere was perfect. I'm not sure how busy it gets during the high summer season, but I'd like to give it a shot next year!

Will never return again. The food is garbage, undercooked, overcooked, overpriced and the manager is an a**. Anything but a pleasant experience. Friends went there for drinks at night and were forced out of the bar right after ordering their drinks near to closing.The place is also boiling, inexcusable for a place that charges such high rates. There are PLENTY of other amazing restaurants and bars with wonderful staff to go to. Don't waste your time and money at the Atlantic!!
I had a great time here. The location has a beautiful view of the water and the food was excellent. I ordered an impossible burger which was cooked just right and completely fooled me for the real thing
Have patronized the Atlantic for years given the food, service and ambiance. Each time, I have bitten my lip as I passed the host. Very pretentious and off putting. This evening he was downright rude, condescending and sarcastic as we inquired about a table. We are in Edgartown frequently and we will not visit the Atlantic again until this guy is gone.

It's a beautiful restaurant with delicious different variations of dishes , the service is excellent , it's located right on the water the view of the Harbor is absolutely delightful .

Expensive food without commensurate quality. Ordered several cocktails (Blueberry Mojito, Bellini, the Grand Summer) and all were decidedly mediocre. You're paying for the view from the deck which is nice, but stick to having a couple of beers here.

The view is incredible. Right downtown Edgartown right on the water. Food is top notch and service is the same. Prices are a little more, but you are in for an excellent dining experience.

Came for lunch and was seated after a very short wait. Service was quick and the olive tapenade served with the bread was delicious. Food is well presented and delicious. I genuinely enjoyed the atmosphere here sitting next to the water.
Drinks were good but service was horrible. It was good at first. Until the waiter spilled a drink on my friends white shirt, mistakes happen that's fine. We ordered two platters of oysters. After about 30 minutes we finish eating it. No one came to pick it up and my friend got up to use the bathroom and knocks over one of the platters. The same waiter who spilled a drink on my friend flips out at us. We kindly reminded him that he just spilled on our friend and the platters should have been removed because we finished eating such a long time ago. He complimented us with a free app but the way he reacted was rather rude. This is a good place but bad situations like that can ruin it.
We dined outdoors, with an ocean view perfect! This was our 2nd meal at the Atlantic, guess we really liked it! I don't eat seafood, the Veal Osso Buco was absolutely fantastic!!!
The bar is friendly and fun! Bar snack is bacon. Who doesn't love bacon. Amazing bartender Gerald! If you want to feel at home this is your place.
I orded swordfish and it lacked any taste except burned. They also didn't warn us about the side dishes size so we ordered 3 to 10 dollars each, even though we could manage with one or maybe two.
I felt I was in Europe for a bit. The food was very refined. The full branzini was just amazing. The oysters were salty as they should. Then if course the setting is just amazing.
Had the shrimp cocktail and their signature burger on a grey Sunday in May.

I used to love this place 3 years ago. Fast forward to today......Rude owner, artificial lines late night when inside is empty, overpriced drinks but pretty good food. Place to be seen but there are much better places in edgartown. Artificial lines and rude owner will ultimately be the demise of this place. Based on other reviews and the sentiment around town, this place will only be around for a few more seasons. I'm ready for something new.
Awesome restaurant best on the island in my opinion. This is the crab guac, the portion is insane worth the expensive price tag for it. The hallibut was also fantastic, it was our first time trying it.
The truffle fries however may have been the best thing we ate, super addicting you just order them.

Yes this might be one of the best view locations on the vineyard. The food is decent, and of course the prices are way on the high side. Shocked that they don't offer a non-alcoholic beers or wines of any kind.

The waitstaff is pompous, disorganized and the manager is a baby with an attitude. The lack of professionalism and experience was extremely obvious when a "manager" decides to take the side of staff instead of listening to the concerns of his customers.

Good food but I needed a bit more lobster on my salad. A friend got the Lobster Cocktail and you actually got to take it out of the shell...a better Choice
My wife and I had dinner last night. Both our meals were excellent. We enjoyed it very much and went back today for lunch.
Food was good but they served every glass of wine wet. A wet glass of wine is not what I want to see when spending $100+ per bottle or more. It was everyone,not just me. Red Lobster or Chili's doesn't even give you wet glass with cheap wine. Don't stand for it.
I have never eaten here. Great bar and good drinks. Love the Applewood smoked bacon bar snacks! Good mix if locals and tourists. They generally have a band or DJ on the weekends during the spring /summer. Good crowd. Right on the water.
