Medical Staff is great!!!

Medical Staff is great!!!
Billing dept not so much!!! Do your Job!! Not the patient's responsibility to file their own claims with insurance! I have never been more disrespected in my life dealing with a medical facility and they send stuff to collections too soon!!! They even blocked my emails from coming through! So annoyed and perturbed with their antics!!!Rude as hell! Will be filing a formal complaint!!!

Thank you to emergency room DR and nurses for being good to my father. On your nephrology unit you have good nurses and pct patient care techs. But there is 1 night nurse that does not have good bedside manners and respect for older patients. And their families. Thank you for those nurses who have respect and good morals. Take good care of your patients cause that's what makes your hospital. With good patient care.

THE BEST SERGEON EVER: Dr.Hencle, his assistant Briana Backlund, made a very uneasy time as comfortable as possible. Answered any concerns, and it just felt personal. And the Doc even put the tattoo back together, you are truly remarkable! Ms. Brittney, Jenn and Indera (on the 4th floor,): Y'ALL LADIES ROCK AND ARE WHAT GOD's LOVE LOOKS LIKE!!! The ones mentioned above are beyond exceptional, y'all are amazing!!! ~ Jeremy & Keri Johnson

People usually rate hospitals poorly because they don't realize that there are more people in the world than just them when emergencies happen. Regardless, they got me in quick, took great care of me, and we're all extremely nice, knowledgeable, and they took great care of me! I really do feel for those who need emergency care when the hospital is busy, but remember that is not the hospitals fault! This is a great hospital with a great staff!!

We ve been here quite a bit over the past 6 months with my mom who is 86 and has dementia. Every time we re here we feel so well cared for, and the doctors and staff are friendly and great communicators. We feel lucky that Athens has such a top notch hospital.

On July 5 I was admitted for chest pain and shortness of breath from another hospital. From the E.R staff (Slade) to the 2nd floor Jennifer, Jennifer, Steven and Jenny, everyone was professional and caring. I am a retired RN. It's no fun being the receiving end of health care! Most impressive was the kindness everyone showed. Thank you to all.

From the ER staff to every Dr, nurse, tech, housekeeping and everyone took care of me as if I were the only one there. Treated for COVID for a solid week. Thank you all for getting me better. Still recuperating at home but on the mend. Thanks again to all at Athens Piedmont!!

On January 28th 2020, I went to Piedmont Athens because I was suicidal. I had the means, the plan, everything, but my boyfriend talked me into getting help and took me to the ER where I was put on a 72 hour psych hold while they looked for a bed for me someplace, not even 24 hours later I was put in quarantine because I tested positive for COVID-19, shortly after, I was given 1 anti depressant, not a script, just 1 pill, then they told me that they were releasing they psych hold, no treatment center would touch me, and released me out on the street. I was homeless, I was sick, and I was kicked to the curb by the people who were supposed to help me. If it wasn't for my boyfriend, I'd be dead right now. I will never go back to this hospital again, I will never recommend this hospital. I felt more hopeless after being there than before I went. This place SUCKS!!
