I did sit in the ER in severe pain for like 6 hours, I definitely think the receptionist in the ER was unprofessional and the wait time was unacceptable. But once I did get back, found out I needed surgery and all of my nurses after surgery have been wonderful!

They sure are quick to get your info and payment at the ER. BUT NOTHING ELSE, it s insufficiently staffed, unprofessional and SLOW to diagnose
It s terrible! The State Health officials need to investigate this place.

Had my total knee replacement done at Athens-Limestone Hospital. All the surgery staff, anesthesiologists, physical therapy staff, nurses and Dr. Lawrence were exceptional. The hospital is very clean, rooms bright and I was very happy with my care and the hospital. Thanks again for all your great care and professionalism.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had the worst experience both times I came here. I got bit by a brown recluse spider. And on Wednesday I went in, and they said they can't do nothing, so they prescribed me a pain pill (which doesn't help) and a antibiotic that I had a allergic reaction to. Which sent me back to the ER. I tell the lady that I'm having an allergic reaction, my throat was closing and I was sweating very badly. Also, I couldn't stand. They told me to wait, because there was people in front of me. I finally get back to a room, didn't give me an IV. Says they'll be back, and comes back with a Clairtin and a pepcid. Then sent me on my way. I'm never coming back.

The Emergency Department was nasty. Nurses were not up to Huntsville Hospital standards, and doctor seemed clueless. With my last dying breath, I would request to go to Huntsville instead.

I can t imagine why anyone would leave a poor rating. Great place with great staff who understand when you just need prescription pain medication! They practice half way decent safety too, which lets be real is hard to find these ways. It s such a small hospital so the nurses are usually real chill and just kicking it cas when bored between shift changes. Also, the place is a tad bit like a maze without clear directions/signs so that s super fun to be in too!

The first time I came to the ER, the staff that saw we were very compassionate and supportive. I told staff I have chronic pain, but I am not drug seeking (as most medical proffessionals completely disregard pain patients and judge them harshly). I explained that the pain I was feeling was different. They replied that they didn't think I was drug seeking. When my blood tests came back and told me I had Water Poisoning and my electro lights were seriously out of balance. They taught me about my condition and admitted me overnight to get a hold of my electro lights. I told the nurses in the ER how kind they were and that I didn't knnow why anyone would go to Huntsville Hospital while Athens Limestone Hospital was here.
