Your loved one at the mercy of rude, unprofessional clowns. They don t make any effort to do basic care for your family member. They are not responsive, and if you complain they will mock and laugh/shout at you. then call the police to escort you off property if you question their behavior. Nurse supervisor Ann is the worst. any other care option is better

HORRIBLE PLACE TO WORK OR SEND YOUR LOVED ONES!! It stinks, the urine smell literally made me throw up one day. Some residents are extremely rude to none verbal residents and nothing s done, they send there positive covid 19 residents to GRANDVIEW nursing home to make it look like they have no cases. I wasn t even there a month and hated it, those residents don t deserve the care and treatment they receive. I see why they have such a high turnover rate with employees, they talk a good game but once you get behind those double doors you really see what goes on. They don t even deserve a star

POORLY TRAINED AND EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF. Unsanitar...

POORLY TRAINED AND EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF. Unsanitary and unsafe conditions. The list of horrors for this place is a page long. From the very first day, there was nothing but mistakes. Each meal was the wrong type of diet. Medications are wrong and hours late. None of the doctor s orders are followed. If you ask a nurse or aid to clean or change your family member, you will have to re-do it once they leave. Visible fecal matter is left on the patient, on the foley catheter, on sheets, and the blankets. The beginnings of skin breakdown are evident after a few days at this facility. No one comes to turn the patients. The nurses complain that they have 25 other patients to see, and you will just have to wait. My mom s urine bag had a hole in it, and urine was running all over the floor. It was never mopped up. Medications are 2-3 hours late, which is not acceptable, especially if you are an insulin-dependent diabetic. My mom was on fluid restriction, strict daily intake and output, due to her heart. None of the staff, aids, or nurses ever measured her urine or asked how much she drank. This place is enormously understaffed, yet they charge $8,000 per month for the pitiful care that they give. It is blatantly apparent that this facility needs to close immediately. Apparently, after talking with several other families of patients here, the administrators will do NOTHING to help the circumstances. No matter how often they assure you that they will take care of the problems immediately, it never changes. PruittHealth Athens Heritage is a total disgrace and disappointment.

If I only had known what I know now...I would of NEVER had my mother go there for rehab. The area where her room was at reeked of urine. I could go on and on about the negatives about this place.

My mother was in rehab there after abdominal surge...

My mother was in rehab there after abdominal surgery, moved to long term care and hospice. She was 91. I did find them to be extremely under staffed compared to a hospital. But, after checking on state required ratios, the are actually above state requirements. Yes, there were some things I found to be frustrating, but, I did find the administration to have an open door policy and all willing to help, even if was not their department. I had to go from one to the other to get all on same page a few times, but once I made myself clear, things were done. I found the nurses and aids to be caring and loving, as I made it a point to thank them for what they were doing. All in all the experience was good as mother was in no pain or discomfort in her last days.

I spent about 7 weeks in this place for physical therapy. I would give the physical therapy part a rating of 4, but everything else I would rate as a minus 3. The administration side does nothing but lie to the patient and family. The nursing staff is woefully inadequate and they oftentimes fail or refuse to follow doctors' orders. They will lie about equipment and/charges as well as other fees. The charges for staying there are way out of line ($11000.00+ for 7 weeks; $2500.00 a week or over $200.00 a day) for other places with similar programs. I would NOT recommend anyone staying here.

My dad was at Pruitt Health, Heritage in Athens, GA for rehab for three months and it was a horrible experience. We had to wait hours for my dad to be transferred from his wheelchair to his bed. He would be in the wheelchair for hours, in extreme pain from his bed sores and crying and no one would get him in bed. I ended up learning to use their lifts and transferring him myself. They ignore the nurse call lights. They are irresponsible with medication and don t have the prescribed medication from the pharmacy. I would never send my loved one to this facility again. Most of the employees don t won t to be there and don t care at all about the patients. And, going to the administrator is a complete joke. She won t take responsibility with deficiencies in the facility.

My sister was in rehab for 23 days w broken ankle....

My sister was in rehab for 23 days w broken ankle. . waited always @ least 1 hr for depends to be changed, got extreme bad wounds from the urine & other from depends not being changed! 1wound nurse Said No not from that was from her not turning!! She has been in mobility wheelchair for yrs . ( cannot walk because of muscular dystrophy) & cannot turn on her own Never had this severe wound problem before coming here.. They are extremely understaffed with aides .. the Aides were considerate & nice when you could get one?? because of course probably do not pay accordingly for what they do..
Could very seldom get anyone in administrative to return a call..
the RN coordinator did help in her capacity . .
Rehab was working with her & did try to understand the situation w her muscles after it was explained to them about her disease..
Cannot move legs but does have a little strength in her arms.. food was bad. Had to pick something up every day .. could very seldom even get coffee.. even though it was down on menu??
Would Never go back to Heritage ( Pruitt) Athens, ga. If I ( sister ) did not check on her everyday, I don t know what would have happened!!
