I accepted a temporary position through Athena. It was completely different than what was advertised, and so unorganized. None of the people I was supposedly working under that were in charge knew anything about what the position was expected to do, not even what the hours were supposed to be. I left the job after a couple days. I have had to contact them multiple times about not being paid, and finally received the payroll app info after a couple weeks. I actually still haven't been paid though, because apparently I was never put into their system at all. 0/10, would never recommend.
Had a great onboarding experience at their corporate office. Angela, Evelyn, and Kendall kept in touch with me for the two weeks prior and the onboarding paperwork was all online and a breeze to complete.
I recently had the opportunity to work resolve a pay issue with HR , Payroll and other members of Management concerning a pay issue I had. I am glad to day that it was resolved to my satisfaction. I especially want to thank Angela who was very diligent and maintained her communication with throughout the process. I believe redemption can be obtained by most who deserve it and work towards it, I am glad given the chance this company corrected the issue.
DO NOT accept any position from this pathetic company. They state to mail your first paycheck It s been a week later since it was placed in the mail and I still have not received my check. I have called almost every day to get statues of my paycheck and all they have made me do is wait 7 business days. Finally after reviewing the error THEY made and don t know how to take fault they did not include my apartment number listed on file. They finally moved forward with putting a stop payment on the check now I was told to wait 2-3 additional business days that is done until they can reissue a new check and with out any option to expedite this process. I asked the representative that helped me to send me a receipt of the request that the stop payment had been placed today and she denied the request, not a surprised all. In addition to having the stop payment she stated I had to pay a $20 fee for the stop payment for somebody that did not do their job correctly I now have to wait pay the price of the mistake and still wait to get a new one mailed. Pathetic company don t waste your time here. They do not help or care about their employees.
This company is horrible they always forget to process payroll, no one answers your calls about it and they tell u they will call you back and never do how can you hire people and not pay them. I m lost and don t know what to do
I agree. Do not work for this company. They are not good at communication. Even union told me that Athena is inadequate . Everywhere I go and meet people who know Athena consulting has told me that they are the worst company to work with and will never work with them. I had a friend who showed up to work the first day on the job and the on site supervisor didn t even know she was coming to work because Athena didn t communicate to them about her. So what did she have to do? Nothing but sit at the front desk doing nothing. Because they had no job for her to do. That is indefinitely irresponsible! Athena, you need to fix yourself! Never working with you again!
I worked for Athena for about 2 years. During that time, my personal information (name, address, dob, ssn) was given to an individual who was pretending to be a government worker. I had to worry about all of my information begin stolen. I did not get paid for holiday leave and I did not get paid for vacation leave. When I went in for my orientation it was embarrassing how unprofessional Athena employees were. I would not recommend working for this company.
Horrible company to work for. They will accept any falsified information by whoever they take assignments with without proof. Do not work for this company!!! Edit: Also, they are very strict on PTO and you can only use it for Sick leave. There is also zero Holiday pay.
I recently got hired with Athena and was connected with Haley Young. Haley has done an incredible job with helping me throughout the entire process of getting hired as a contractor employee now to a full-time employee. She always answered my emails within record time along with a thorough response. She deserves a raise immediately!!!!!!! Keep up the great work Hailey you are an amazing asset to your team and I hope your supervisors see that.
DO NOT accept a position from this company. This is the most unprofessional, unorganized, inconsiderate staffing agency I have ever had the displeasure of working with. From the beginning it was hell. The assignment I was hired for was not what I interviewed for (different location, last minute change that I was not made aware of until I saw the contract). Then once the county no longer wanted to keep staff, these people called/emailed certain individuals to let them know that the vaccination sites were CLOSING then terminated the individual s contract. When I confronted the account manager about this (why only tell certain people that sites are closing and not everyone that this change would affect!?) I was told I was not apart of the group that was being let go. How inconsiderate? Obviously I inquired because I was told by another coworker whose contract was terminated, that the sites were CLOSING (=NO JOB=NO MONEY=BEHIND ON BILLS) and wanted to get ahead of the issue by insuring that another assignment could be lined up. But by this response, I knew I could not do another assignment with them. These people are disgusting. My contract was terminated 3 weeks after this encounter. I only worked with them for a little over a month. They send out your first and last check by Mail and do not tell you this! I have bills to pay and I find out on the day I should ve received my DIRECT DEPOSIT that my check was MAILED? Are you kidding me?? They need to be shut down immediately! They have no empathy. I attached the email I mentioned earlier. Ask yourself if that s a response you would like to hear when you realize your job is hanging by a thread just two weeks after starting that assignment. Despicable. When I inquired about my check not being in my bank account I was told by this nasty, monotone, inconsiderate lady by the name of LISA DAVIS, that I should ve been told this. Like how exactly is that helpful?
